Day 1


Welcome to Cuba! Upon arrival at Havana international airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in Cuba's captivating capital.

Day 2

Havana walking tour

Meet your guide this morning for a walking tour through Havana's Old Town which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982. Step back in time strolling through the vibrant streets of the Cuban capital, visit the Havana Club Rum Museum and drive through the "modern" part of Havana in the back of a classic car.

Day 3


Havana - Vinales. After breakfast we bid farewell to Havana and travel west to visit a Casa del Veguero (house of a tobacco farmer), surrounded by lush tobacco fields in the famous Vinales Valley. We will also stop to explore Cueva del Indio, which is an ancient indigenous cave dwelling. We spend the night in Vinales, a small picturesque town situated between green tobacco fields and monumental limestone formations called 'Mogotes'.

Day 4

Laguna del Tresoro & Cienfuegos

Vinales - Cienfuegos. Today we head to sunny Cienfuegos. Cienfuegos is one of the liveliest and most beautiful cities in Cuba. On our way, we stop at the Bay of Pigs where we enjoy a boat tour of the Laguna del Tresoro. This so-called 'Treasure Lake' is located amid numerous canals, mangrove forests and palm trees. Upon arrival in Cienfuegos spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5

El Cubano Park & Trinidad

Cienfuegos - Topes de Collantes NP - Trinidad. Today we travel on to Trinidad, a colonial city which was founded in 1514 and declared a world heritage site by the UNESCO. On our journey we stop to explore El Cubano Park, which is located in the beautiful National Park of Topes de Collantes. Here you can enjoy a swim in the waterfalls and pools or hike along one of the various trails including the “Traces of History” trail which gives an insight to the colonial past of the island. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant before travel on to the enchanting city of Trinidad. Here we spend the next two nights staying with local families in casa particulares (homestays), where we can gain a fascinating insight into Cuban life.

Day 6


Today begins with a guided walking tour of enchanting Trinidad. There is lots to see in the colonial old town of Trinidad, including the Palacio Brunet, one of the most beautiful palaces of the city. Today, the Palacio Brunet is home of the Museo Romantico. In the afternoon we take an excursion to the beach where you can enjoy the Caribbean Sea and relax under palm trees.

Day 7

Santa Clara & Havana

Trinidad - Santa Clara - Havana. This morning we travel back to Havana, stopping en route in Santa Clara, where we visit the imposing Che Guevara Mausoleum. Located high on a hilltop overlooking the city, the mausoleum contains the remains of this famous revolutionist and 29 other guerrillas who died with him in Bolivia. Spend your final night in Cuba at leisure.

Day 8

Flight to Mexico

Havana - Cancun (Mexico). It's time to bid farewell to beautiful Cuba today. We transfer to the airport for the short flight to Cancun in Mexico. At the airport we will be met and transferred to our hotel in the beautiful coastal resort.

Day 9

Chichen Itza

Cancun - Chichen Itza - Izamal - Merida. Departing Cancun this morning we head inland. For our first stop we enjoy a guided tour of the famous Chichen Itza archaeological site, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Chichen Itza was constructed between the 7th and the 10th Century AD and these incredible ruins are the best examples of Mayan architecture ever excavated. The highlight of our guided tour is the iconic El Castillo pyramid (aka the Pyramid of Kukulcan).

After visiting this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage site we travel on to explore Izamal, a pretty and quiet colonial town which is referred to as the 'yellow City' due to its golden-yellow buildings. Then we continue on to Merida which is the largest city of Yucatan, steeped in colonial history with magnificent buildings and the region's best museums.

Day 10


Merida is not only the largest city in Yucatan, but also the cultural capital of the region and it has been designated as one of Mexico's "Pueblos Mágicos" (magical places, with rich cultural, historical or natural treasures). Today we visit the Hacienda Yaxcopoil, a rural estate constructed in the 17th century for stock farming and later used as agave plantation. We then continue our day with a refreshing dip in the Cenote X’Batun, which is a sinkhole with turquoise waters and marine life perfect for swimming or snorkelling. This afternoon we return to Merida where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11


Merida - Valladolid. Today we drive to Valladolid, a peaceful colonial city which has also been classified as a "Pueblo Magico“. We take in the highlights of this charming city on a guided tour.

Day 12


Valladolid - Tulum. We drive to the beautiful cliffside Maya city of Tulum today. Take in the spectacular ocean views from the famous archaeological site and relax on the idyllic stretch of white sand beach, soaking up the sunshine on the Caribbean coast.

Days 13-14

Playa del Carmen

Tulum - Playa del Carmen. On day 13 we travel back to Playa del Carmen, our final port of call. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this popular beach resort. Spend the day relaxing on the soft white sand beach and enjoy a swim in the crystal clear sea. Or enjoy refreshing cocktails and delicious Mexican food at the Quinta Avenida, in the heart of Playa del Carmen.

Spend day 14 at leisure in Playa del Carmen, soaking up the vibrant Mexican atmosphere. Head to the beach or perhaps go shopping for some last minute souvenirs on 5th avenue.

Day 15

Playa del Carmen

Our tour of Cuba and Mexico comes to an end after breakfast and hotel check out today. We can arrange a transfer to the international airport of Cancun upon request or book post tour accommodation if you wish to extend your stay.
