Day 1


Saturday. Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Marrakech International Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Why not relax by the pool before the pre-departure meeting at 18.00 where you will meet your fellow travellers.

Day 2


Marrakech - Ouarzazate. After breakfast we head south to the film capital of North Africa - Ouarzazate. After a local lunch we have the chance to take an optional tour of the film studios - famous for many blockbusters including Gladiators, The Last Temptation of Christ and James Bond's - The Living Daylights! We can also opt to go quad biking and further explore the town

Day 3

Into the Sahara

Ouarzazate - Sahara. This morning we take a stunning drive towards Erg Chebbi, stopping by a 14th century irrigation well and intricate network of canals on the way where we learn how the wells are made. Later we stop for a fantastic Moroccan lunch and relaxing swim. Afterwards we head to Merzouga before transfering to our camels for a trek into the Sahara. We spend the night at our traditional Berber Camp. We enjoy local food, music and an amazing night out under the Saharan stars.

Day 4

Todra Gorge & Ait Benhaddou

Erg Chebbi - Ait Benhaddou. After a tasty breakfast in the Sahara we climb back on board our trusty camels and head out of the Sahara. Once out of the sand we get back on the road for a lunch stop at Todra Gorge. This 1000ft gorge is hemmed in on all sides by vertical limestone cliffs and is also called Morocco’s Grand Canyon. In the afternoon we continue to famous Ait Benhaddou. One of Morocco's most famous UNESCO World Heritage sites boasts great examples of Kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited.

Day 5


Ait Benhaddou - Essaouira. Today we leave Ait Benhaddou as we pass over the beautiful and dramatic Atlas Mountains as we head to our next destination - Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast.

Day 6


Today is a free day to explore Essaouira, this colourful fishing town dating back to the 15th century when the Portuguese forst fortified it has great beaches and fantastic surfing. You can relax on the beach or if you fancy getting out and about then explore the UNESCO-listed medina with its various souks and woodcarving workshops. All of the city gates lead to the medina, so it's unlikely you will get lost. The beach sits in front of the Medina and there are a plethora of cafés with terraces, both ideal for relaxing for a few hours. Blue doors and window frames abound as do the artists’ shops – buy a carpet or Thuya wood carving or sit on the beach sipping a mint tea as the sun sets. There is also the opportunity to do some optional activities, such as quad biking, surfing, horse trekking and wind surfing or you can just simply sit on the beach and relax!

Day 7


After breakfast we return to our hotel in Marrakech for our final night. Once here, we will get some free time to relax at the hotel before we start our guided city tour late this afternoon. We end the day our last group meal in the famous Djemaa El Fna, the legendary main square full of acrobats, snake charmers, juice sellers and various al fresco restaurants.

Day 8


Saturday. Our touring arrangements come to an end after breakfast and hotel check-out. Spend the morning relaxing or picking up some last minute souvenirs.

We do not offer a triple share option on this holiday as many hotels do not offer this room type, but if travelling as a party of 3, the third person may choose to purchase the 'Single supplement' added to the 'Twin/Double' price for the comfort of their own room. Alternatively, if an adult in your tour party is happy to be paired up with another adult traveller of the same sex on your tour, this can be arranged, thus avoiding the single person supplement.
