That tour is worth all the money it costs, and then some. The bus driver is funny, interesting, friendly and well organized. Each winery was a delicious discovery in Waiheke wine lore and beautiful flavours. The view from the Mudbrick is breathtaking. The craft olive oil pressing facility was a superb variation on the wine tasting theme. Overall a very memorable tour with memories to last for the rest of your life. Makes me feel like retiring to NZ.

Kate, our wonderful guide, met us after we disembarked from the ferry on the island. Lovely ferry ride and excellent commentary from Kate who also drove the bus. The wineries and olive oil producer were just amazing, the scenery outstanding and we learned quite a bit about the process of making wine in the region. Delicious food served for lunch as well! Thank you, Kate! We had a fantastic day!!

It was raining throughout but our guide managed to help us make the best out of the tour. He was patient and nice. The vineyard hosts were extremely welcoming and did a great job for the wine tasting.

I would highly recommend any visitor to Auckland to board this fine wine tour excursion. Our tour guide was funny, patient and very informative. He had highly recommended we stay for dinner after the tour finished and several of us did just that . My traveling buddy, Elva, and I ate with two other female tourists and enjoyed a wonderful and now are connected via FaceBook. The 4 vineyards selected were marvelous. Lunch was quite tasty and met my culinary standards. We had a fun group of tourists who were very vocal. I have been telling all my friends to do this tour.

The wineries visited all provided excellent explanations of their wine production methods. However, seeing as this a strong red wine production area I was a little disappointed the tastings didn't give the option of choosing a tasting that fit the individual preferences. Otherwise the tour was great. Throwing the olive oil tasting made it even better.

This was the last excursion of a 21 day trip. We were a bit tired but had a wonderful tour. Started with a 40 min ferry ride and then a delicious lunch at the first vineyard. We had quick visits to 2 more wineries and also tasted olive oil. Beautiful vistas around the island as well. Then another ferry ride home. A great way to end our trip.

Our Tour Guide, John, with NZ Winepro, couldn’t have been more knowledgeable, personable, or accomodating. The choices he made for us for the wineries, lunch, and chocolate were amazing. No riding in vans or big buses. We are also in NZ celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and John went out of his way to make it extra-special for us. An extra note: when I say lunch, I must add that it was outstanding - both food and location; 5 star! We will add that he has a deep knowledge of the culture and mindset of New Zealand which he happily shared; we felt enlightened - and gained even more respect and appreciation for this wonderful country.

No other word describes our day. I expected a small group but it was just my friend, me and John, our guide. He was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable about his country and wine. We were treated like royalty. It just doesn’t get better. From pick up to drop off it was fantastic. We experienced a good variety of wine. Saw some epic sites and had an overall splendid day. You can’t go wrong taking this tour. I would go again. Thanks, John, for a wonderful day!

Great atmosphere with staff very friendly and informative at the wineries and olive tasting. Timing at each location was sufficient although you can never have too long when drinking good wine at beautiful venues! Delicious lunch too. Bus driver/guide was helpful, organized and obviously enjoyed sharing the location and highlights along the way. Had some good advice from the ticket salesperson at the ferry terminal to catch an earlier ferry than the one stated on the tour ticket which we did. This allowed a little time to look around and relax before starting as well as ensuring we made it onto the island as the 11am ferry was quite full. (Especially if there are cruise ships in port at the time) Also be aware that the online ticket needed to be exchanged for ferry/tour tickets at the booth before getting into the ferry queue.

Would recommend this day trip for couples or wine coniseurs/travelers alike. Lots of scenic spots visited on the island with an informative and accommodating driver/tour guide.

This was a great tour - you take the ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island, and then when you get off the ferry, the bus driver is in the terminal with a sign to direct you to the bus. Then, you spend half the day going from winery to olive oil maker to winery. I'm not a huge wine fan, but the day was fantastic. I took this trip solo and quickly made friends several of the Australian and British groups also on the tour. The views are very pretty. Lunch was pretty good, nothing amazing, but not terrible, and it was enjoyable to get to sit down and converse with other tour members. I recommend, after the ferry ride back to Auckland, having dinner in one of the restaurants in the ferry building. It was a great way to end the day.

A good tour. The friendly, informative driver/guide met us at the ferry terminal on the island. Good wineries to visit with enthusiastic guides to explain their products. A very good lunch sitting outside not far from the vines. The only disappointment was the size of the group. As we got on the bus to start the tour a group of 18 was added. That would have been okay, but they acted like they didn't want to be there, their talking amongst themselves over the driver and local guides was distracting, and they were always late returning to the bus. Included in the tour price was a local bus pass for the island, but the tour finished at 5pm and I don't think anyone stayed to use it.

One of the most wonderful tours you could imagine -- incredible wines, remarkable vistas, outstanding guide, and overall a fascinating, wonderful day!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Wine on Waiheke tour, despite it being a substitute for our originally booked Taste of Waiheke tour -- since the cruise ship was late arriving in Tauranga, we missed our original tour but Fullers Group accommodated us on this later albeit somewhat less-extensive tour. The 3 award-winning vineyards we visited were well chosen and our driver/guide was fun and informative -- we enjoyed the many wine samples, demonstrations and learning experiences.
