“
Good to see how sheep are sheared and the shepherd dog demo was excellent. The BBQ was high quality as well. The only improvement item I would have is to extend bbq/demo experience by 30 minutes. Don’t know logistically how though. Felt a bit rushed after lunch.”

“
This was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand! It was just fun being on the amazing and very cool ship, the Earnslaw, but to then have the great experience on the farm feeding the animals, watching the sheep dogs at work, etc. We LOVED it! We loved Queenstown. Great value for the experience.”

“
What a lovely little day trip. We took the steamship over across one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. The Walter Peak Farm is
so rich in history and very charming. We fed and played with the animals, watched sheep shearing and sheep dog practice.
The flora and fauna is breath taking. Absolutely mind blowing!”

“
A fantastic, easy tour, starting with an incredibly scenic journey across Lake Wakatipu from the middle of Queenstown Wharf on the historic 105 year old coal powered steamer called The Earnslaw. Once at Walter Peak Station the local shepherd gave us a leisurely introduction to the locals sheep and lambs, red deer, highland cattle, lamas, and friendly farm dogs. Then a short walk through the beautiful gardens for a home cooked afternoon tea/coffee that was delicious, before watching working dogs herd sheep, and sheep shearing.
The Earnslaw then picked us up and we enjoyed a wine/beer to piano music back across the smooth-as-glass Lake to central queenstown. Something for everyone, and very little walking required. Highly recommend, even for other Kiwis who have grown up around farms.”

Relaxing cruise and amazing views during cruise and at farm. They gave us pastries and tea while we were there, which was a nice treat. Watched a few show demonstrations and were able to see and pet a variety of farm animals.”

“
Tour the beautiful waterways around Queenstown on a working steamer boat that is used for transportation, shipping supplies and well as for the tours. The farm tour was very informative and interesting. Tea time was delicious! I cannot say enough to describe the natural beauty of the entire area around Queenstown. Seeing it from the water was amazing.”

Loved it from the moment of boarding the old Steamer until we returned to dock. The High Country Farm is a 'feel good' touch with the farm animals. Most delicious afternoon tea with a view to die for. New Zealand .... best place on earth!”

“
The farm itself and the surrounding landscape is just breathtaking. The staff are welcoming and seriously, I don't know how they keep smiling considering some of the rude tourists I encountered... Time to check for manners at the border... Loved being able to get up close and personal with all the animals, especially my mate Bella, the sheepdog. Give my love to Dougall - the most gorgeous bull I have ever seen. This trip is one that I would do every time I visit Queenstown, just such a lovely way to spend the day.”
