Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Chinchero, Chinchero, Cusco Region
You will start your tour in the village of Chinchero, which was one of the most important populations during the Inca empire. However, as much of its annexes, it was also a victim of the extirpation of idolatries action that replaced the traditional deities by Catholic ones, in order to transform popular beliefs.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Salinas de Maras, Carreta a Maras Urubamba, Maras 00051 Peru
Then visit the archaeological remains of Maras. It is a surreal sight. Located so close to Moray and is an impressive complex of salt mining. They are large deposits of salt used for exchange for other products with other regions of the empire.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Moray, Maras 08655 Peru
The archaeological site of Moray consists of mysterious concentric circular terraces that for some investigators would be an agricultural research center.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo, Ollantaytambo 08676 Peru
Ollantaytambo, a typical example of urban planning of the Incas still inhabited like in the past. You will find here a great archaeological complex called fortress although it was a tambo, a resting and lodging place for long distance travellers.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Pisac Market, Central Plaza, Pisac Peru
Finally visit the citadel of Pisac, a town built in the form of partridge known for two reasons: the crafts market, established between colonial buildings, and for hosting one of the most impressive complexes of terraces in the valley. The market has dozens of stalls displaying and selling goods crafted by residents of the area.

“
Great tour with some very interesting stops. Ollantaytambo was very cool. You kind of know what to expect with Machu Picchu but this tour was full of surprises. Lunch was really good. The guide was great!”

Rodrigo was excellent and so was Juanito our driver, we had such a good time with them two. Rodrigo was very knowledgable and caring, he shared a lot with us : highly recommend to do a private tour around those beautiful places.”

“
We had a superb tour with our tour guide Oscar. I can't speak highly enough about his knowledge, perfect English, organizational skills and care of us. What a fine young man! This is a private tour and we had a driver who drove us all over the Sacred Valley in a mini van. It was comfortable and safe. Oscar used his iPad to illustrate and show us timelines of the Inca kings, map of Peru, geography and plants and animals that he was telling us about. He was enthusiastic and passionate about everything he showed us. We learned that as a guide he must have a five year university degree and proficiency in two languages besides Spanish. The lunch was a buffet in a beautiful restaurant. There was even a band that played just for us while we ate with Oscar! Superb service and delicious food. This trip is well worth the money and an excellent use of time.We could never have found the silversmith village, textile demonstration, restaurant and other amazing sights on our own. It was the highlight of our trip to Peru.”

“
This trip was absolutely unbelievable! Most people go to Cusco with the intent to see Machu Picchu but there is so much more and this day trip encompasses it all! Our tour guide Juan was absolutely wonderful - the tour was only suppose to be around 6 hours long but he spent much more time than that and was entirely patient with my group of 7. The views were spectacular and I didn't even realize that lunch would be included. There is so much history and architecture to see in Cusco and this tour was definitely worth it to get a taste of it all.”

“
We had a really great trip on this tour. Moray and Maras were both very interesting Inca sites. Chinchero was a tourist trap. Overall very enjoyable and worth the time just for Maras and Moray.”
