Ask for Arthur Garcia! I’ve had many guides in my life but very rarely one who was so knowledgeable, went out of his way to make the experience extra special for us, and you could tell he was genuinely passionate about his work and providing people with a memorable day.

This tour was amazing!

We had a full day tour with the informative and delightful tour guide, Patricia. We arranged the tour as we did not have too much time in Lisbon, and wanted to learn as much as possible. We were able to ask questions all day long, and Patricia showed us places and gave us much information we would never have learned on our own. Easy five stars!

We really enjoyed this tour thanks to Bruno our tour guide. This is a great alternative to crowded, conventional tours. The sights we visited were beautiful and we had so much fun driving around in the convertible beetle with Bruno. Skip the stuffy tour bus and take this tour.

My family had a short time to visit Lisbon and this was the way to do it. We had some rainy weather, so having a knowledgeable guide and a car at our disposal was great! João was our guide and he was friendly, knowledgable and kind. We have never had a private tour before and this really exceeded our expectations. We stayed in Alfama on a small street that can be challenging to get through, especially with the tram coming and going, so we were told to meet a a nearby, convenient location, which worked out perfectly. João was prepared for us right on time with water, an extra umbrella and blankets to keep us cozy. We saw all of the sites that we were hoping to see plus ones we thought we might not have time for like Palácio Pena in Sintra. I highly recommend this tour, even if your can't drive with the top down. It was a lot of fun. Obrigada, João pelo tudo especialmente, os pasteis de Belém! Tudo foi perfeito.

Thanks Luis our driver. Was one of the best trip we had. We only had one day in Lisbon, we were able to see almost everywhere we wished to see and even went to the Cabo da Loca and Sintra. Best service and so knowledgeable about the roads and the history... we learned so much in one day!!

Patricia was awesome! I love being shown a city from the perspective of someone that has lived there most of their life. Patricia pointed out the typical big name attractions but also some smaller personal ones that you would not have noticed. She clearly loves Lisbon and that shows in her bubbling personality. We had a great time on the ride and would happily do it again!

If you're only going to be in Portugal for a brief amount of time, this is the perfect tour - totally worth it! The tour: this tour is totally worth it! My mom and I ended up upgrading to the 8 hour tour and its the best method to see a lot in a little amount of time. The 8 hour tour is pretty extensive and very impressive! We went to the castles in Sintra and got lunch in the center of town and shopped around. From there, we traveled along the 'countryside' which was such a beautiful ride nice and peaceful! Then we went to Cabo de Rock which was incredibly beautiful words cannot do it justice! From there, we drove to Praia do Ginshu which was absolutely my favorite spot: breathtaking views! This stop allowed us to drive by and see a lot of beaches if you're a beach lover, definitely opt for the 8 hour tour. From there, we went to Cascais and went to the marina. At every stop, we were able to take as much time as we wanted, take pictures and explore! The whole day, we were getting stares from onlookers because the car is truly a head-turner. Best day ever! Our tour guide: Luis is the best!!! He was our tour guide and arrived at our hotel promptly and even waited for my mom and I to grab some quick breakfast. That said, we got started about 20 minuets late but Luis was perfectly accommodating throughout the entire day! We went in October so it was kind of chilly outside. He provided us with blankets during the drive which was very nice. Throughout the entire day he provided so much information and cool facts about the country he really knows his stuff! He was very personable, genuine, and helpful. Not to mention very patient and just kind in general : This tour is a must completed exceeded my expectations!

Luis was amazing. He was knowledgeable, genuine and a very interesting guy. He tailored our trip to what we wanted and more! I was with my parents who don't speak English - he was very patient with me translating and very attentive to them provided blankets for them in the wind. He showed us interesting point of places and no compliant whatsoever with the extra requests we had.

Such an amazing tour! My guide Rui was so funny and had so many great stories about Portugal! I'm so glad I did a private tour because my plane landed late and since I was the only one on the tour Rui didn't mind waiting for me and even took me to a great coffee shop because I was exhausted from the flight. Lisbon is so beautiful and clean! Sintra was very magical with tons of beautiful winding roads and castles. I take a lot of tours around the world and this was definitely one of my favorites! Such an awesome way to visit these two cities in a convertible beetle! I would highly recommend this tour especially if you're only in Lisbon for a short time.

Luis was amazing! This was a great way to see a lot of areas outside of Lisbon that we never would have been able to do on our own. All of the stops were incredibly interesting and Luis provided a lot of intriguing facts. Highly recommend!

An absolute must for any visit to Lisbon. There were several beautiful villages that my wife and I would have never seen if we had not taken the Tour. Our guide Luis was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He was absolutely determined to ensure we had a wonderful tour. While in Lisbon, my watch battery died. Several watch shops in Lisbon declined to change the battery. Luis found a local jeweler in Sintra that replaced the battery at a very reasonable price. This is an example of the effort Luis puts into ensuring unforgettable experience. The time with Luis was worth the cost of the tour.

Our driver, Bruno Seco, was amazing! He listened to our ideas about the sites we wanted to see and helped us pack a lot into our day while still working in time for shopping and treats. When my daughter fainted unexpectedly, he helped us get her blood sugar up quickly and was most attentive.

We took the 2 1/2 hour Private Tour by VW Beetle and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide, Rui, was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative and spoke excellent English. It was a lovely day and the advantage of being in an open top car was we could look up to see the architecture as we were being driven around. We were able to get out and take photos at the points of interest. The tour was suitable for 2 to 3 people. Rui provided insightful information on Portuguese history and famous historical people. We would certainly book to go again and try for a longer tour. These tours can be tailored to your wishes, so if there is somewhere you particularly want to see, they will take you.

We had a wonderful time touring Sintra and the coast, and the convertible Beetle made the experience all the more special. Luis was a fantastic and thoughtful guide. Highly recommend!

This was SO much fun!! My friend and I got a Beetle tour with Peter, who was amazing. He knew a ton about Lisbon and Sintra and he was super flexible in terms of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. We did the Full Day tour which was worth it because there is so much to see that is easiest to get to via car. He gave us food recommendations and was great about sticking to the meeting times. My favorite part was getting to see Pena Palace! It was also really fun just getting to ride the Beetle - it was refreshing to feel the wind in my hair on that insanely hot day in early June. Please book this tour immediately!! :

We had a phenomenal tour with an expert guide. He picked us up at our hotel on time and we spent the next eight hours touring Lisbon, the coastal region and then finally SIntra and the beautiful Palaces. Our guide Ricardo was born in Cascais and knew the roads like a true native. Stopped and had lunch at a seaside restaurant overlooking the beautiful beaches on the way to Sintra. We would recommend this tour to everyone !! Really enjoyed the convertible VW Bug too.
