Guide was fabulous, with amazing knowledge of the history and what the museum offered. Could spend longer in the museum

A truly awesome experience. The skip the line tickets are a must if you are on a tight schedule as the lines are always very very long ..also buying online give you your own special entrance access and you breeze in ..2 day pass is suggested as there’s to much to cover in a day .. The trip was very well organised by Viatour, although it would have helped to havebeen able to download my Hermitage ticket immediately on booking. The museum is well laid out with lots of help from friendly administrators in each area, and, of course, full of wonderful works. There was a lack of WCs. At one point, those on the ground floor were unavailable and it wasn't made clear where any more could be found (some in the basement, but maybe others?). But my main complaint was the sheer numbers and behaviour of Chinese tourists, following their guides in impenetrable, noisy, clumps. I'm sure not all Chinese tourists are like this, and some would be horrified to read this, but many of those in the Hermitage were causing havoc.

Was a fine and valid ticket to get into the wonderful Hermitage Museum but it did NOT skip the line. We still queued for 90 minutes to get in !!!!! The entry was chaotic - lots of people queueing and lots just trying to push in and often succeeding as there were so many approaches. Frustrating but we still don't know of a better way !!!
