Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Fairview Wine and Cheese, Suid Agter Paarl Road, Suider Paarl, Paarl 7624 South Africa

Leave Cape Town behind and head off by luxury minivan to the Stellenbosch wine region – famous for its Mediterranean climate and fertile soils that help to produce millions of litres of wine each year.

With your expert guide, hop back in your minivan and continue your journey northwest to the Paarl wine region, home to leading wine producers like Fairview and Nederburg. Stop at the Fairview Wine Estate, trying out several of their famed white wines and cheeses.

Lunch takes place in the gourmet capital of South Africa – Franschhoek – roughly 5 miles (8 km) away. Your private guide will point out the best sidewalk cafes and restaurants, and then leave you to enjoy lunch at your own expense.

South Africa’s epicurean capital; Franschhoek, with its multitude of eateries is a must-do for gourmands and on weekends the local farmer’s market beckons with colourful stalls, tasty aromas and live music. You’ll have time to soak up the history of the French Huguenots who arrived in the Seventeenth Century, catch an impromptu church choir performance in the street, shop for knick-knacks and bric-a-brac along the main street or savour a charcuterie plate and tasty local creations. For extra historic flair, you could choose to replace one wine tasting with a visit to the spectacular Franschhoek Motor Museum, home to an array of auto-classics enough to impress any motor-maniac. Tour the expansive de-humidified halls as you marvel over the authentic presented vehicles, ranging from bicycles to Formula 1 cars.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: La Motte Wine Estate, R45 Main Street, Franschhoek 7690 South Africa

In the early afternoon your tour continues to the La Motte or Haute Cabriere wine estate, another notable Franschhoek vineyard set high up in the Helderberg mountain range.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Haute Cabriere, Lambrechts Road, Franschhoek 7690 South Africa

The views from here are simply incredible, with surrounding vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see. Soak up the views and sample the estate’s fine wines, learning about the slow ripening of grapes in mountain viticulture.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Boschendal, Pniel Road, Groot Drakenstein, Franschhoek 7680 South Africa

Your last wine estate visit is Boschendal, one of South Africa’s oldest wine producers, with a wine-making heritage that dates back to the 17th century. The gorgeous farm estate houses state-of-the-art cellars, and it’s here that you’ll enjoy the day’s final wine-tasting session alongside rows of beautiful oak barrels in the tasting room or under the oak trees if the weather permits.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Muratie, 44 Knorhoek Road/R Koelenhof, Stellenbosch 7600 South Africa

Your last stop of the day is a small Stellenbosch wine estate called Muratie, much loved by locals, with bags of charm. Its traditional cellars are typified by ramshackle walls and worn paintings -- adding to its rustic charm. Sample the estate’s fortified wine and locally produced chocolate – a winning combination! Relax on the journey back to Cape Town, where you’ll arrive in the early evening.

The private winelands tour was excellent. Our tour guide, Liezel, shared so many cool pieces of information throughout the day and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. The wineries themselves were so beautiful. We loved every one of the four we visited. We were also huge fans of the fact that one included a cheese pairing with its tasing, while another included a chocolate pairing. We'd recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town - the experience is a must. We were sad to leave when our trip was over, but were happy to be bringing back a few bottles of excellent wine. Thanks for a wonderful day, Liezel!

JP was a superb tour guide with excellent insights into the wines as well as deep history of the area. He picked us up on time in a shiny new van and expertly drove us to our destinations, which Clare had carefully adjusted to our requests in advance. He kept us on schedule without pressure and returned us safely home at the end of a wonderful day. We highly recommend this tour company when visiting Cape Town.

We were 4 adults on a private full day tour. Our driver was very knowledgeable about all things South Africa and the 4 wineries he selected were beautiful and very different. We loved them all. His lunch suggestion in Franschhoek was great too. It’s a fantastic day and definitely worth choosing a PRIVATE tour.

Leizel made our experience one to remember. She was more than accommodating to us and our kids on the tour and her knowledge of the area made for a relaxing, but once-in-a-lifetime memory for our entire family. Thank you!

We had an excellent guide who was able to let us personalize out trip and spend the time doing what we enjoyed rather than rushing from place to place just to check them off. Consequently we awere able to tour the Stellenbosch Museum and really spend some quality time there - it is fascinating. We also enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Coopmanhuijs Hotel which has excellent food and service.

We were met by Andrew at the cruise terminal in Cape Town in a new people carrier. Andrew was very knowledgable and tailored the trip to meet our needs. He gave us time for lunch at a restaurant, which he booked, then with time for shopping. His knowledge on wines, vines and production was superb. We spent a full day in his company, no rush to get us back. Would highly recommend this trip and Andrew. A memorable day in a beautiful part of South Africa.

Wonderful time we had!!! Our tour driver was very nice and attentive and did everything he could to help us, because we did the tour on Dec 24th and not all wineries were opened. But we could go to wonderful wineries and taste wonderful wines. Don't miss it!!!

The overall tour experience was well put together, including cheese tasting, wine and plenty of it! tasting, with the last tasting including sticky wines together with chocolates. As it was a public holiday, there were a couple of hiccups, but our tour guide Gavin was straight on the phone and had alternatives sorted without any fuss at all. Gavin was a fantastic guide - very personable and just a wealth of information about South Africa and the area in general. Thanks Gavin! Overall, just a fantastic day - we just had to sit back and enjoy the experience. Ross and Juanita

This tour was awesome! Andrew was a spectacular guide who took us to 4 beautiful wineries. We had so many types of great wine along with chocolate, cheese, and a delicious lunch. Both Andrew and the staff at each location were committed to making this one of our most amazing experiences in Capetown!

Our family of four did a private tour of the three wine regions outside Cape Town. Our guide, Ulrich was fun and very knowledgeable not only about wine and the region, but South Africa and its culture. He actually grew up in the Stellanbosch region! We went to four diverse wineries representing the three regions and had a fantastic lunch at La Motte. Ulrich even orchestrated a tour of a winery that was not part of the itinerary so we could experience their fine Pinotage selection! Consider this tour a must on your visit to Cape Town and get ready to drink some wine! Cheers!

We booked a private car for this experience since we had a two year old traveling with us. Our tour guide arrived promptly at the designated time. He took the time to get to know us and provided lots of options for the day. The plan involved a great variety of wineries and several choices for lunch. It was an amazing day in beautiful wine country. Highly recommended.

We loved this private tour. Kevin, our local guide was great! Very knowledgeable and super easy going! We were very curious about the political and historical background of the city and he was happy to reply to our thousands questions! We decided to visit 2 vineyards (instead of the 4 planned) in order to have more time for lunch at the amazing restaurant "The Delaire Graff": a breath-taking view and such a relaxed atmosphere! All went really smooth and after lunch we enjoyed a great wine-chocolate pairing in an amazing vineyard in the heart of Stellenbosch. The tour was simply perfect; we strongly recommend it!!!!

This was a great tour! Hospots2C was the company that provided the tour, with Gerhard as our guide. Shortly into the trip, it was more like a group of friends talking to a local than a guide and travelers. He balanced the right mix of local information provided insight into where we were headed and even re-arranged the tour so we could visit a requested winery. The trip was awesome the wine and lunch were spectacular.

What a great day! We went to 4 wineries, had an awesome tour guide Andrew Jackson! and had a fantastic time. Well worth the money and nice to do it with just the two of us my wife and me. Highly recommend! We got drunk and wanted to do cage diving with an alligator ? crocodile as we saw an advertisement for it along the way - Andrew went out of his way to call the place and see if they could accommodate us but they'd already put the croc up for the day. Andrew even went and got us some local South African food for the way home. He was a great tour guide and an asset to the company!

From the moment of our ick up from our Cape Town hotel this day trip was everything we had hoped for. We were drive by our guide to 4 fabulous vineyards where we were introduced to the art of appreciating wine by very knowledgeable staff at each of the vineyards. Lunch was at the well known Racine Restaurant in a wonderful location. Our guide gave us a detailed history of the wine industry and pointed out many features of the area. We enjoyed the area so much that we made a point of going back to Stellenbosch before our flight back home. A big thank you to Andrew our guide for a truly memorable day.
