Itinerary

Day 1

Arusha

Arusha - Tarangire National Park (Lunch/Dinner): Your safari adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Moshi or Arusha, heading toward Tarangire National Park. Once there, embark on an afternoon game drive through the park, pausing for a picnic lunch. Tarangire is well-known for hosting as many as 300 elephants, drawn by its sparse vegetation and access to water in the underground streams of the dry rivers. You can also spot the migration of wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo around the diminishing lagoons. Accommodation for the night will be at Heaven Nature Campsite, located just outside Tarangire National Park.
Overnight: Arusha

Day 2

Tarangire - Serengeti National Park (B/L/D) Today, you will venture into Serengeti National Park, renowned as one of Africa's most famous national parks. The park offers breathtaking wildlife experiences, including the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. It is also the habitat for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and a host of other predators. Overnight stay will be at Pimbi Campsite in Serengeti National Park.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park (B/L/D) Today is dedicated to exploring the wildlife of the Serengeti. Following breakfast, embark on an exciting game drive. You'll witness the incredible range of wildlife in the Serengeti, including buffalo, hippopotamus, elephants, giraffes, antelope, Thompson's and Grant's gazelles, and lions. If your visit coincides with the breathtaking wildebeest migration, prepare to be amazed. In the late afternoon, we'll set out on another game drive to further explore the park. Animals abound in every direction—monkeys, numerous bird species, and the elusive large cats, such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, observing their surroundings. As you continue, keep an eye out for rhinos, gazelles, antelope, and the majestic elephants that roam in large numbers. Discover creatures perched in trees, concealed in the bush, or residing in the park's rivers and streams. This truly is the adventure of a lifetime! You will stay overnight at Pimbi Campsite in Serengeti National Park.

Day 4

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater (B/L/D) Our journey includes a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, where our lodge is strategically perched on the crater's rim, offering breathtaking vistas of the world's largest unflooded and unbroken caldera. Expect stunning views into the crater. The Ngorongoro caldera represents the ancient remnants of a collapsed volcano, which might have rivaled the size of Mt. Kilimanjaro in its prime. Today, this completely enclosed circular crater spans about twelve miles in diameter, with steep walls rising over 2,000 feet. We find ourselves at an altitude of roughly 7,500 feet above sea level, the highest elevation on our trip. After spending time on the lower plains, the cooler air here is a welcome change. In the afternoon, you can embark on a short nature walk to explore the local fauna or simply relax at the lodge/camp to enjoy the view. Spend the night at Simba Campsite on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire National Park (B/L/D) This morning, we journey 2,000 feet down to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater to uncover the diverse wildlife within this natural zoo. Expect to see elephants, rhinoceroses, lions, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, Thomson's gazelles, reedbucks, and buffaloes. The magnificent crested crane, akin to a peacock, is abundant, and there's a chance you might encounter a bat-eared fox. The equilibrium between predator and prey in this ecozystem is remarkably stable, ensuring that animals rarely venture beyond its boundaries. Guided by our expert safari guides, our precise route will be determined by real-time animal activity. Insider's tip: bring ample memory cards as the photo opportunities here are unparalleled. Ngorongoro Crater is considered one of the natural wonders of the world. This breathtaking wildlife haven spans 102 square miles and is a perfect caldera—one of Earth's largest. Formed from the collapse of a once-active volcano, the crater supports a variety of vegetation and has nurtured thousands of animals over the centuries. Home to over 30,000 animals, including prides of lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, and countless gazelle and wildebeest, its beauty is truly unique. We'll spend an unforgettable morning traversing the expansive crater, returning to our lodge/camp for a late lunch. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon with stunning views from various vantage points around our lodge/camp. As we savor another exquisite dinner, we'll be captivated by the splendid orange sunset illuminating the African sky, marking the close of another remarkable day on safari. Overnight: Heaven Nature Campsite located just outside Tarangire National Park.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Manyara - Arusha (B) After enjoying breakfast at Tarangire National Park, depart for Arusha with a stop at Lake Manyara. There, you can admire the stunning flocks of pink flamingos. This journey promises to be an exciting adventure!
