“
Very enjoyable trip even if I was a bit jet lagged during the excursions. Brian Montgomery the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the places and especially the Independence period. The only minor gripe is that I initially went to the location at Empire Vacations early only to see a sign saying that they had moved back to Gray Line departure terminal, and then when I double checked with a Gray Line member he informed me that I should have waited at the Empire Vacations terminal. I rushed back to the Empire Vacation terminal to find the tour group leaving on foot to where the bus departed. I had made it just on time! Clearer signage might be appropriate. Also I found the Amish experience a bit gimmicky, perhaps an invitation inside a farm house or mock farm house would be a possible idea. I didn't think the "village style" shopping mall was anything unique. But big thanks to Brian, thanks for an enjoyable day. Cheers”

“
Very well organised trip. Be well in advance at the meeting point. Did not expect to visit so many places in this one day trip in Philadelphia. Amish country was also interesting. Do buy the lime juice prepared by the Amish. Guide Stephano was very knowledgeable.”

“
Irene our tour guide was informational from beginning to end.
Amish buggy ride was a bit short , would have been great if we could have really gotten to know there history from them. Philadephia was nice but to short of a stay.
Reccomend going on this tour although.”

“
Well what can I say this trip was fantastic. It was a very long day but it was well worth it, I took my 78 year old mother and she also thoroughly enjoyed it. It was timed to perfection. Our guide Ben was so informative and answered any extra questions that were asked of him. I didn't realise how historic Philadelphia was. Also visiting the Rocky steps and being able to run up them was fantastic as I am a Rocky (the film) fan. Visiting the Amish was great too, the only tiny thing that did disappoint me was there wasn't more products being sold that the Amish make. They have a little village that you visit and are able to walk around the shops, I would have thought there would have been Amish people serving in them but there wasn't and most of the goods in the shops had been shipped in. The products that were made by the Amish were delicious. Great tour”

“
A long day but well worth it. Philadephia is steeped in American History and including of course the Liberty Bell. One cannot miss the Rocky Steps and I even managed to run up them. Again lots of interesting little shops selling their wares and nice little cafes to have breakfast or lunch. The tour then took us to Lancaster where a lot of Amish live intermingled with other ordinary Americans not that anyone we met we could call ordinary - all lovely people. We had a ride in a buggy and our driver was a well kept 73 year old called Yarn and he had 5 children and 28 grandchildren. Well worth the experience and we finished off with a stop at some Amish Markets which were amazing. If you wish to buy one of their quilts however you had best have deep pockets.”

“
My wife and I really enjoyed this tour and the opportunity to get out of New York for a day into some of the most beautiful, picturesque farming countryside I have ever seen - around the town of Intercourse believe it or not. There were three tour guides on board and Eddie the English tour guide was very good. He gave the history in logical fashion and then gave us breaks from his commentary. Compare that to the tour guides on hop on hop off buses who bombard you with thousands of disjointed facts. Forget the hop on hop off buses - take this tour instead and enjoy Philadelphia and the beautiful countryside where the Amish community we visited live. If you enjoy viewing rural landscapes I highly recommend this tour.”
