I learned so much from our tour guide about historical buildings and people. I was a bit disappointed in the Palace of the Fine Arts. I didn't realize that there were only large sculptures and no art paintings. Also, it was hard at times to hear our tour guides. The ear buds were not the greatest. Other than that it was good.

It was a great opportunity to do the high level city seeing. The kids enjoyed it, only thing is, it stopped around 5PM, which I think it's a little bit early.

Excellent tour. I got the 2 day deluxe ticket and it offered so much! Highly recommend. I used the live guide and also the general guide on the headphones and learned so much about the city and it's history!

Great time on the big bus. We got to see what was in all the areas of San Francisco.. Would do it again if we visit.

Excellent value for money. Have used big bus tours in quite a few citys now. Great way to learn about them.

We stayed on for a complete circuit and then went back and looked at places we were interested in. It was a warts and all tour showing the upside of San Francisco as well as a downside with the poor and homeless Thank you for that Highly recommend the tour

Well worth the money. You get an overall view with commentary of the city. I took the entire 20 stop tour then around again and got off at Haite Asbury to walk around and have lunch. Our guide Sean was awesome and had lots of goofy jokes.

We enjoyed the hop on hop off, great information throughout the day. Bring a sweater for the golden gate bridge it was very windy up on top

We wanted a tour that gave us a good idea of San Francisco, and this tour delivered. The recorded guide was very interesting and the bus took the time to ensure it matched up with the recording. We loved going over the Golden Gate, and the ability to get on or off when we wanted. We would highly recommend this tour for first-time visitors.

You just go in these bus tours because it’s a great way to see each section of San Francisco and everything the city has to offer. Bus driver knows a lot bout the city and keeps you entertained.

Guide was corny but informative. Great way to see places in the city you couldn't or wouldn't walk to.

Roman was GREAT! Informative, personable, humorous, and a GOOD driver...We would take this tour again and request Roman if that was allowed.....

It was the best thing we did. We got to see areas that we wouldnt have been able to see due to our timed schedule. The bus ride was smooth, the audio was excellent and of good quality. Speaker was very informative. So glad we did it. But wish it would have had paper towels to wipe the wet seats or offer plastic rain coats due to the rain/mist.

Having never been to San Francisco before, the Big Bus Hop-on Hop-off tour was the perfect way to see the city and get a sense for the spots where we also wanted to spend more time. Awesome way to see The Golden Gate Bridge. Friendly staff, great value. I would recommend these tours when exploring any new city, or bringing friends and family in to town!

It provided an opportunity to see a lot for the price.

The tour and tour guide was absolutely fantastic. It was cold but well worth it. The tour stopped for a 15 minute break to allow us snacks and hot coffee, tea, and hot chocolate then onward. It was great.

A great way to get around and familiarize yourself with the area. It was a beautiful day and perfect for seeing the sights!

This is a great way to get acclimated to the city of San Francisco. There is so much to do and see in San Francisco and it's a bit spread out. My advice is when you purchase the Hop on Hop off tour, to be sure to book the two day tour and spend the first day just riding and listening to tour guide via headphones. Maybe hop off a couple place for a quick look around, but the second day use it as a taxi service to get to where you want to spend more time at. Also, start day one EARLY so you get a full day of touring. Take a jacket or small blanket...even in the summer months and sit on top so you can take in all the views. We were there in July 2017 and the sun is hot but the air is cool...especially going across the bridge. I would also recommend on the second day taking the trip over the bridge to Sausalito and having lunch. Unfortunately the trolley to take us into Sausalito was late b/c it broke down so we didn't have much time to explore, but we had already been there with a rented car a couple days before so our purpose was just to take the hop on hop off over for lunch.

Very good option to go around the city and find all the good attractions. Plenty to do in San Francisco.
• Submitted 04 Apr 2018
Great way to see highlights of the city and learn some history. Get a bus with a live guide - they add much more to the commentary. Mark (San Francisco side) and Dwayne (Sausolito and Golden Gate) were smart, entertaining, informative, and passionate about their city.
