“
Our tour guide, David, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and organized, but still relaxed. While other tour companies were just dropping people off and ushering them through the gates to Windsor Castle and the Roman Baths, David walked around the towns with our little group and pointed out interesting stories about the buildings and history of the location before we entered the sites. It helped that he was originally from Bath, so he really knew what he was talking about. I definitely thought we were getting the most bang for our buck.
Just some logistics about the tour: we didn't get the Windsor Castle or Bath tickets in advance, but the tour arrived at Windsor early enough that we were the first in line and could enter the castle very quickly (and I'm not sure if there is ever a line for the Roman Bath exhibit, so that was also no problem). If you didn't want to pay to enter those sites, you could easily have found things to do in the towns of Windsor and Bath.
I wish we had a little more time at each of the places, but considering everything we got to do that day, the schedule makes sense.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour. It was even more fun and informative than I was expecting.”

“
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and he made the experience absolutely worth every penny. We booked with cityworks for several of our tours in England. They are very good. The guides are engaged and really take the time to educate the tourists. Our guide was from Bath and he was authentically proud of his heritage. It is an excellent way to see all the sites efficiently. Thank you”

small group with personal attention from our guide. (Mark) A great trip and Mark made sure he gave adequate details all along the way. Mark was fully engaged with us the entire day. Great job and well appreciated when the whole family is together on vacation.”

“
Absolutely loved this tour! I researched for hours and hours on various sites to try and find the best use of my time in England. Mark was a fabulous guide for our small group of just under ten people. We had beautiful fall weather making the tour extra enjoyable, but the length of time in each stop was what really made the tour ideal. I was traveling alone so I appreciated the more intimate feel to the tour while still having free time to visit the Roman Baths in Bath, grab lunch in Lacock and wander around Stonehenge. Mark did an amazing job giving plenty of insight into each of the stops on the tour without talking the entire time while driving.”

“
Well paced, enjoyable tour.
Our guide Pepe was very knowledgeable and passionate about the sights we were visiting. We were given 2 hours on our own in Bath, 90 minutes in Lacock in the Cotswolds, for lunch, after a nice tour of this tiny town, and about 2-3 hours at Stonehenge.
The time in Bath went very quickly, as there is a lot to see at the baths. We didn't have time to see it all. The admission was not included, it was around 14 pounds, and included an audio headset.
Lacock is a small village. There are many movies an shows filmed in the area and Pepe was keen to point these places out. Scenes for Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth was filmed at Lacock Abbbey, as were scenes for Harry Potter movies. The house shown in the second movie belonging to his real parents is there.
Stonehenge has grown considerably since I last visited. The car park and visitor's center is far from Stonehenge and requires transport by bus. The line for the bus was quite long and the buses did not run as frequently as I felt they should have, only my opinion, but one is ready and excited to see this special place and the delay was frustrating.
Pepe, was very good at explaining the various theories behind this collection of rocks and gave us great insights. He was obviously very passionate about this area and it showed. He answered questions with humor and great interest.
In all it was a long, but great day. Pepe's enthusiasm added to the experience and we all had a great time.
We met the group at the Gloucester Tube station at 7:30am and returned around around 7:30pm.
Thanks, Pepe, for a great day!”

“
This tour was wonderful! So much history in one day. Our tour guide, Pepe, was very knowledgeable about the history of England. Bath was impressive. We loved the drive thru the Cotswolds. The pub lunch was great. We highly recommend The George Inn in Lacock. The bathrooms are pristine. Stonehenge was marvelous. We’ve never seen anything like it. So old! This tour is a must for anyone visiting England. Be prepared to walk a LOT. City Wondets Tour Company is great!”

Great tour. Loved the day especially the Cotswolds. The tour around Bath was wonderful. We opted not to go on the Bath tour since we had been there before so the tur guide took us on a walking tour and explained all the beautiful architecture.”

“
We first went to Bath. Our guide, Tom, told us a little about the history of the town and then offered to take anyone interested in architecture while anyone who wanted could go see the Roman Baths must pay entry fee. We went to the Baths. This was fantastic though we wished we could have done both! We also stopped into the Bath Cathedral.
Then we went to Laycock. Again, Tom took us around the town giving us a wonderful explanation of the history of the town. What made Tom a great guide was that instead of reeling off historical facts, he told stories. His sense of humor was very entertaining and fun! We ate at a pub - good food! The town itself is amazing. So ancient yet still an active town. You have to learn about the honesty boxes and the outdoor boot niches.
Last we went to Stonehenge. Two of us walked up and one took the tram. I was one of the walkers. I wish I had taken the tram instead. True, I got to see Stonehenge kind of rise out of the ground as I approached but it took a while 30-40 min which meant I didnt have the time I wanted up at the Stones. I ran out of time to listen to all of the audio program but, the main reason I wished I had taken the tram was that Tom served as the guide up there and my sister said he did a fantastic job of relating the history of the site and the theories about its purpose. Next time, right?
Overall, we had enough time at each site. Tom provided wonderful commentary on the road but not so much that we got tired of listening. In fact, my sister wants him to come to her house just so she could listen to him talk :-
The coach was very comfortable and our driver got us around nicely.”

“
We loved this trip from the beginning to the end. Robert, our guide, did a great job providing all the backgound for each part of the trip. Each of the 3 stops were unique in their own right and created a diversity of experiences that made the day go quickly. You also had adequate time for each. We loved and were mesmerized by Stonehenge in particular and for Harry Potter fans, Lacock is a fun stop that also allows you to see a town that looked as it did in medieval times. Great day.”

This was a long day - but for someone who was only in England for less than a week it was the perfect way to see a few key sites in a day.
David was a great tour guide.”

“
This tour was amazing. our tour guide, Alex female was fantastic. She really knew so much about all three places. In Cotswold she pointed out a few restaurants, so we all could make our own choice, without having 32 people all trying to order at the same time. In Bath, she gave us a choice of either walking around Bath to see the architecture, or going in to see the Roman Baths.”

“
It was a great trip. our guide David is very knowledgeable.
some previous review mentioned they wanted more time at Stonehenge. My feeling was different.
I would hope to have more time at Bath. Stonehenge, unless you can arrive at a special time e.g., at sunset or sunrise, does not really have too much to see. After David lead the team finished a round and explain everything, I feel it's done.”
