After pickup from your hotel, head north along the Captain Cook Highway passing through the most Northern beach suburb of Palm Cove and hear about the rich history of Double and Haycock Islands and be amazed at the huge melaleuca trees that are hundreds of years old.

Continue the journey north along one of the most picturesque coastal drives in the world, stopping at Rex Lookout for views over Trinity Beach and back towards the mountains of the Great Dividing Range.

The next stop is the small seaside village of Port Douglas for short town tour before heading to Mossman Gorge on the southern edge of the Daintree World Heritage area. Here you’ll enjoy morning tea in the New Mossman Gorge Centre.

Board a shuttle bus accompanied by your Naturalist or Eco/World Heritage accredited guide and head up to the national park for a guided walk in dense tropical rainforest. Enjoy the views over the huge granite boulders and crystal clear waters of the Mossman River. If time and weather permits you will be able to refreshing swim.

Heading further north and passing the sugar cane fields of North Queensland, stop for delicious lunch at the Daintree Tea House, the longest-established restaurant in the Daintree area that serves local produce of the highest standards.

After lunch, join a small and personalized cruise on the Daintree River. If you are lucky enough, you may even spot the elusive crocodile.

Continuing north along winding and picturesque road toward Cape Tribulation. Along the way you’ll see even more wonders of the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. A stop at the Alexandra Lookout is an opportunity to look back over the coastal road just travelled and take in the breathtaking views over the Daintree River mouth, Snapper Island and Low Isles.

Continue further north, stopping at Marrdja Boardwalk for a guided walk in one of the most bio-diverse areas in the Daintree Rainforest. From here, head to Cape Tribulation where two World Heritage areas meet – the Rainforest of the Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef.

Leaving Cape Tribulation Beach, venture south back toward The Daintree River, stopping along the way at the Daintree Ice Cream Factory for afternoon tea. Here you will have the opportunity to sample locally made ice-cream featuring seasonal fruits of the tropics (at own expense).

Shortly after, arrive at the Daintree River and board the cable ferry to cross this mighty river. The journey home gives you time to relax and reflect on your day before you are returned to your accommodation.

I was traveling by myself on this tour and quite nervous. The small group was nice . The bus looked new and very clean and comfortable i was a bit concerned how long the tour went but the bus was so comfortable most people had a power nap at some stage during the tour . The tour was expansive and every place we visited was beautiful .We saw so much . The tour guide Mario was very informative well organized but never made you feel rushed . I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone trying to see as much as they can in a small time span. The lunch was delicious and the talk during lunch was every interesting .Don't skip the home ice cream .Extra treat for the tourist was the wild baby wallaby that often comes to visit. Great day Thank you Mario.

We loved our tour and had such a great time!! Darryl our tour guide and driver is the man! He is very very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. We saw and did so many more things than we could have on our own and everything was so easy for us, it was well worth the time and money.

This is a beautiful rainforest. Full of many stories and wonderfull driver. Has great knowledge and a warming sense of humor! Showed us the vast history of this place and let us stop to take pics at some cool little spots!! The van is extremely comfortable and he keeps it just how you like it in there (temp wise). Come hungry! Coffee and tea in the morning. We didn't have to wait for lunch to be prepared as we picked it out in advance and they had it ready for us. Don't skip this one. Just go, even for the ice cream in the evening! You'll be so thankful!

We had the best time from the moment your Excellent Driver and Tour Guide Carsten collected us from our accommodation. (which was a little out of the way). The commentary was very informative and very entertaining with lots of laughs along the way.The morning tea and lunch provided was awesome. It was a long day, but well worth doing and our safety at all times was always paramount with Carsten.

We had a great day touring through the Daintree and rest of tour. Great information from our tour guide Mick, at the rainforest and also Dave who took us for a river cruise on the Daintree river, where we saw crocs sunning themselves on the river bank. Had a great lunch sampling local produce with very informative explanation of all the tropical fruits on our plates. Would recommend this tour as they looked after us very well. Well organised, professional service and Mick kept us on track with timings, without being rushed.

We spent two days in Cairns and did the Great Barrier Reef the first day and this tour the second. Our guide - Steve - was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and made sure we had a good time. It was a great way to see north of Cairns with a number of sites and some good stops along the way. My favorites were Cape Tribulation and the crocodile boat tour. The main complaint from other reviews is that it is a really long day. That’s true - we left at 7 am and returned around 7 pm - with a bunch of driving. However, the itinerary makes clear it is around 12 hours when you book and you see a ton of good stuff so I’m not sure why others are surprised. If you’ve got two days in Cairns and are looking for something other than the Reef to do, this is a great option.

Tour guide Steve was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. Picked us up on time and dropped off. Had umbrellas ready for those of us with no cover

Everything about this day trip was well organised and enjoyable. Great value and our guide really looked after us well. Amazing how much we fitted into this day yet it didn't seem rushed. We saw scar face the daddy of crocks and also two of the large male birds that care for their young. The coach was very comfortable and it was a small group tour so we all chatted and enjoyed each others company. I would recommend this tour of Mossman gorge, The daintree and Cape Tribulation to everyone travelling to Port Douglas.

What a great day out! So, we were picked up from our Airbnb in a lovely air-conditioned mini bus, and headed straight up to Mossman Gorge. It was a beautiful day and great to have a dip in the clear fresh water of the Mossman river, so don't forget your towel and swimwear! Lunch was really good. The first time I tried kangaroo steak which was throughly enjoyed, and an array of fruits and lessons about their origins. After lunch we headed to the Daintree River to search for crocs. The heat of the day made sure this was limited, as they all took shelter well under water, but we did spy a baby croc. Walking the boardwalks through the Daintree National Park showed the knowledge that the guide had, explaining a number of things en route, and was more than accommodating to answer any question you had. Then we got to Cape Tribulation. Another short stop but a wonder to see where the rainforest meets the ocean. The final stop was the ice cream place where you could purchase, obviously, ice cream. It was on the way to here we had one of the greatest surprises of the day. The van stopped so we could get a glimpse of a Cassowary in the wild! Unbelievable fortune that I feel privileged to have seen. Overall, this trip is long and entails a lot of travel, but you are condensing all these three amazing sites into one day. It was a relaxing atmosphere alongside a professional service and I'd highly recommend this trip if you want a taste of these amazing locations through your own eyes.

Picked up at hotel at correct time by a very knowledgable and informative guide who made our trip to Cape Tribulation a very pleasant day. All that was advertised about the tour was done in a very professional and highly enjoyable manner and I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone who was wanting to see the wonders north of Cairns. A complete surprise was the luncheon at a great location with an introduction to local fruits. In summary real value for money spent.

We had a great experience. The only drawback was it was overcast and limited our crocodile viewing. Our guide was passionate about his topics and very informative. We had a marvelous lunch at the Daintree Tea Room. The food was great and the tropical fruit lecture was fascinating!

You spend a lot of time driving, but the sights are worth it. Mossman Gorge is beautiful. The rainforest is gorgeous. Cape Trib is probably skippable if you don't desperately want to visit it, because the queue for the car ferry takes ages (however, on the way up this is negated as you take the boat cruise to the other side of the river! Clever!) Bus was comfortable, guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, all included food was great. I'd advise taking one of the shorter tours that stays a little closer to Cairns, but I still had a fab time. Thanks!

This was a fantastic tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and this made the trip very interesting. He also had a wonderful sense of humour. Some folks on the tour were not aware of the length of time the tour was to take and were anxious about getting back - this made the rest of us feel like some things were cut short or rushed through at the end. Otherwise the places we went were amazing and lots of opportunities to look around and take pictures.

This was a ridiculously long tour and we saw so many things throughout the day that I lost count. The Gorge was beautiful and we got to stop for a swim in the clear, cool waters highly recommended on a hot day. Franck our guide/drive was awesome, explaining things along the way and making sure we were all accounted for. Lunch was delicious and the lesson on the exotic fruits was unexpected and really enjoyable especially since we got to taste most of them with the included meal. The tour was small about 13 ppl, and we made a lot of stops for photos and to see sites. There are a lot of twists and turns, so if you get car sick easily, it might be worth taking something since a lot of time is spent in the small van.
