Once we have left Melbourne, we head down to the Surf Coast, passing through gorgeous seaside townships such as Anglesea, Lorne and Airey’s Inlet, we stop along the way for some morning tea and to breath in the fresh sea air whilst spotting surfers out on the water, with the proximity to Antarctica you will learn why this is great surf but also why wet suits are a necessity!

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Great Ocean Road Memorial Archway, Great Ocean Rd 689/721 Great Ocean Rd, Lorne, Victoria Australia

A monument to mark the original starting point of the Great Ocean Road.

After some photos at the iconic Memorial Arch and a lesson on the history of the soldiers who built this road and dedicated it to their fallen comrades, we will wind through more stunning views (of course stopping for pictures!)

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Apollo Bay Information Centre, 100 Great Ocean Rd, Apollo Bay VIC 3233, Australia

Once you have explored Apollo Bay, grabbed any souvenirs you wish to buy, or tasted some delicious ice cream then it is back on the bus to head inland to the Green Coast.

Stop At: Great Otway National Park, Victoria, Australia

till on the Great ocean Road but now continuing up into the lush green Otway’s we drive through towering Eucalyptus trees until we arrive at a patch of Cool Temperate Rainforest. You will be amazed at the difference in scenery as we take a walk through the tree ferns and, marvel at the ‘ancient relics’ – the Myrtle Beach trees that provide perfect canopy shade and originate from when Australia was part of a super continent known as Gondwanaland. Breath in the fresh air before we take a relaxing drive out to the dramatic Shipwreck Coast!

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Twelve Apostles, Great Ocean Road, Port Campbell, Victoria 3269 Australia

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Loch Ard Gorge, Great Ocean Road Port Campbell National Park, Port Campbell, Victoria Australia

Also in the National Park we head down to Loch Ard Gorge, site of one of Australia’s most well know shipwrecks, hear the dramatic tale of Tom and Eva and then head down to the beach to look for the caves. This is also where you will find rock formations such as Island Archway, Razorback and the ‘Salt and Pepper Shakers’ too.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: WWI Memorial, 117 Murray St, Colac VIC 3250, Australia

This was a great trip. Jim was out driver for the day and he was really friendly and funny. All told we were on the bus for 12+ hours but it was worth it. The small town we stopped in for lunch was very cute and the Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge were showstoppers. If you are taking the regular route (not reverse) sit on the left side of the bus for the best views of the ocean.

It is good choice for people who do not have more time to spend on Great Ocean Road. It is short but you will see the best places from the Great Ocean Road. But if you eant to spend more time at 12 Apostoles or any other place, choose longer journey or hire a car and go there. It is long distance for 1 day, therefore the timing is set only for short stops.

We traveled the ocean drive to the 12 apostles in a bus. We met around 7 am and returned at 7 pm. Drive during the day was very nice. You need to bring food to eat or if you are early you can buy food at the 12 apostles around 5pm. The driver Jack was informative about the area. We had a great time.

Fantastic tour and well worth the effort. Our guide, Brett, was friendly, informative, helpful, and got to know everyone on the trip. Pick up was on time and easy from central locations across Melbourne's CBD. Our tour got hit with detours thanks to massive brush fires in the area but we were able to see everything and it never felt rushed. Highlights: 12 Apostles, Great Ocean Road, Loch Ard Gorge, rain forest walk, wild kangaroos, wild koalas, and Torquay beach at night.

An fantastic day trip from Melbourne...a bit too short since there are so many spectacular places to see..the 12 Apostles lookout is magnificent. Also we stopped to othe 2 lookouts on Great Ocean Road: Gibson steps and Loch Ard Gorge. The 30 min Rainforest walk Was also great and the stop to Kennett River was a big surprise to see the King parrots and koala . The guide was very knowledgeable and a good entertainer...highly recommended to anyone traveling in that area.

Although our day experienced some raindrops and wind, the coastline is magnificent and stunning. Seeing the 12 Apostles was even better than the pictures. Our guide, Grant, gave us plenty of time at each spot along the way and provided us with terrific information. I would highly recommend everyone visiting the area do this tour.

Absolutely Fantastic!!! We are very very happy that we chose this particular tour. Out guide Bryson was so fun amd lovely person. 12 apostles are so far my favorite place in Australia. It's absolutely MUST SEE! The tour itself is well organized. Although we had originally to end the tour with apostoles and then drive all the way back to Melbourne, Bryson suggested to start with Apostels first and then see all the other places on the way back to Melbourne. Thanks god he did that because by 3 pm while we already had finished the most important part it started to rain so we would be very disappointed to see apostoles while raining. Overall we had 3 stops on 12 Apostoles with 30,45 and 45 minutes. Its planty of time to walk around, take some photos and enjoy beauty of these places. of course its always better to have more time, in this case you have to drive on your own by car and not take the tour Which I don't recommend, because driving Great Ocean road is very very hard!. After enjoying Apostiles we drove 1 hour to rainforest which was so interesting to see. After that Bryson took us in fields where we could spot Kangaroos, We also sow many Koalas, We had great lunch, Pizza for dinner and nice stories from our guide. Highly recommend this tour! But be aware that 60 of the tour you spend in the bus because it is a lots of driving.

The tour scenery was worth the trip. But the mini bus is old and not comfy. The driver is more like just a driver drove us there. Not so functional as tour guide. Not even greed us when we walk in the bus. We stop for the birds fed. That was very nice.
