Try your hand at making delicious and authentic Cambodian meals, and learn the tips and tricks of the country’s traditional cuisine from your expert local chefs. Leaving from Siem Reap aboard a tuk tuk, you’ll arrive at a rural village after a short trip outside the city.

Each cooking class starts with a visit to a local family. Along the way you'll learn about the herbs and vegetables that are grown at most Khmer households and are used in daily cooking. Then, visit a local family's home and take the opportunity to learn about food preparation in a Khmer home.

Following this visit, head to a nearby pavilion to get your cooking class started. Together with your chef and guide you will create several dishes that you can then re-produce at home. Learn about the typical ingredients in Cambodian cooking and get the opportunity to experience Cambodian cooking first hand.

Classes are completely hands-on. Everyone will have his or her own cooking station and equipment. Classes include a number of Cambodian different dishes, and a recipe card will be provided.

At the end of the class you can sit back in the wooden pavilion, perched over a charming pond filled. Your dishes will be served to you one by one, letting you enjoy and compare dishes.

After you have enjoyed your meal, a waiting tuk-tuk will return you to the centrally located tour office.

Learn to create some (or all) of these delicious dishes!

Morning Class Menu:

Cambodian Mango Salad –

Using fresh and light ingredients, this is a salad everyone will enjoy. A perfect tropical feast.

Fish Amok –

Amok is on every visitors 'must do' list. Cooked in a young coconut, Amok is a smooth curry that can be made with either fish, chicken, or tofu.

Sticky Rice Balls with Palm Sugar and Grated Young Coconut

Afternoon Class Menu:

Prahet Chien –

Minced fish on sugar cane

Cambodian Curry –

Unlike its Thai neighbor, Cambodian foods do not tend to be hot and spicy, relying instead on layers of fragrant spices.

Nom Tong Noun – Khmer brandy snaps

This delicious, slightly sweet treat is impossible to resist.

The cooking class was excellent! Both the guide and the cooking teacher were very experienced and made the whole experience excellent. The dishes were great and we even received a cooking book to take home. Would highly recommend this class!

I'd encourage anyone visiting Siem Reap to do this, even if you don't really have much interest in cooking. We got to see a slice of local life in the village and cook 3 amazing dishes.. all of which you get to sit down and eat at the end of the class. The setting is fantastic and the chef is very friendly and guides you through everything step by step. Just book on it, you won't be disappointed!

Great class. Well worth it. There were only four of us, which made it nice and intimate. The food was really tasty.

Who knew I would have so much fun learning to cook like a Cambodian local? The tour began with a tuk tuk ride from my hotel to a beautiful hotel in what seemed like a remote village but in actuality was just outside Siem Reap. The backdrop for the cooking class was idyllic. We were surrounded by lush greenery including a lovely herb garden. Before we began cooking, our guide took us to the homestead of a local family just a short walk away where we were able to see a traditional Cambodian kitchen and ask questions of the host. When we returned to the outdoor kitchen, a chef was there to walk us through the preparation of a three-course Khmer meal. We made fish amok, mango salad and bananas with palm sugar and grated coconut. Boy was it delicious! This was such a fun excursion...worth every penny.

This was an amazing experience, it was outside Siam Reap, in a village, lovely setting and as always in Cambodia, incredible people, more than happy to share their cooking skills. Definitely worth doing for the experience even, if like me, you are not a great cook. Paul

This was an amazing class! We were pick up on time by tuk-tuk. We were then transported a little bit out of town to the location for the cooking class. It was such a clean, well organized experience! The teachers were English speaking and gave directions a few steps at a time so as not to overwhelm or leave anyone behind--even my two school-age kids were able to keep up! The food we made was delicious and will be easy to replicate at home. I would absolutely recommend this class again! Great job!

A tremendous cooking class with first class tuition in a beautiful rural setting. Only quality ingredients were used and after the cooking was finished we all sat down to a deluxe lunch outdoors in a very exotic setting. Before cooking commenced we visited a house close by to get a taste of how the local villagers live and cook. Pick up and drop off from the hotel was on time and seamless. I can honestly say the class was a highlight of our stay in Siem Reap and I would recommend it to everyone. A word of advice: most classes sell out very quickly so advance reservations are almost essential.

This class is a delicious break from the temples of Angkor while in Siem Reap. The instructors are both knowledgeable and friendly. The class begins with a visit to bring rice or other food staples to a local family allowing for a glimpse into a Cambodian home and life. The ingredients for cooking are all portioned, organized, and easy to work with for cooks of all levels. The instructors can assist with some prep work chopping, adding ingredients, etc if you are uncomfortable, otherwise they allow you to cook your meal unassisted. Each course and step was well organized and the pace of the class was easy to follow. Overall, one of the best experiences we had in Cambodia and a fun way to connect with the Khmer culture!

Well organised, clear instructions and tasty food! The venue is great and it's good to see some of the money paid goes to support the local community. Recipe book given at the end is great too.

This was a lovely half day cookery class. We had our own individual stations under a thatched pavilion surrounded by lush gardens next to a genuine Cambodian house/ village. We surprised ourselves with the quality of food we managed to produce and the feast upon in a lovely, unrushed situation with great company 10 out of 10

A fun morning cooking some local favourites. The company clearly supports the local community while providing a beautifully presented kitchen and great food. My own cooking has never been presented so attractively.

This class was amazing! The teachers were friendly and helpful and easy to understand. The food that we cooked was also delicious! After we finished cooking, we sat down and ate what we had made! And they gave us a book filled with the recipes for the dishes that we made, along with other traditional Khmer dishes. I highly recommend this class!
