Our guide met us in the rain outside the designated coffee shop. We gathered and quickly moved inside, then a short walk to the hotel lobby. We were taken into the bar, a restaurant, an historical corridor, and the ballroom.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable, personable and entertaining. The tour was informative and memorable. The size of the group was small enough that it was easy to hear. A good choice.

We enjoyed the tour very much. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We had no problem in finding our start point. All the extra information about the surroundings of the Chateau were very informative.

Our tour guide was very informative and knew the answer to any question asked of her. If you want to know the history of the hotel, this tour is the one to take.

Our guide made the history come alive, and was accommodating and informative. We enjoyed seeing all the inside rooms, the various views, and hearing about times past. “Frederick” did an excellent job.

Great way to start seeing the city. A lot of history and cool stories. Wish we could’ve seen more behind closed door stuff .

Our guide was dressed as the wife of the chateau's manager in 1900-05. She charmingly played the role of the executive's wife. She shared historical events and hotel stories with us. Excellent tour which I highly recommend.

Great tour guide, dressed in period clothing with an accent as well. We actually thought he might be a thespian because he was so good! Lots of good information and answers to everyone's questions.

You'll find the history and entertaining guide well worth your 20. On top of that you'll get to step into some spaces in the hotel that are usually off limits to the public. A drink in the bar is a nice why to cap off the tour.

Fabulous behind the scene tour of the luxury hotel. Tour guide in period clothing as Mrs. Frontenac was a wealth of information. The tour guide shared with us that Monday was the best day to tour the Frontenac. Worth every dime for the 60 minute guided tour. Tour guide was very personable. She wanted to know our names and where we were from. Great tour !

Our guide showed up dressed in a period costume. He took us around the hotel in areas that you could not just walk in to the hotel and see. He gave us a lot of history and background on the hotel and its construction. We were glad that we took this tour.

It was fascinating to learn the history of this landmark building. Interesting tidbits of information like the fact that representatives from many nations met at the hotel to talk about food distribution to the needy in the early 1940's, marking the beginning of the first UN agency. Also, the hotel was among the last to put televisions in guest rooms the reasoning was that tv's in rooms might reduce the number of people ordering drinks in the bar!

Nice introduction to the hotel - history, current state, and the forces that informed it. Costumed characters tell a story from a unique perspective. Tour includes places in the hotel you would not see/appreciate wandering around solo.

Our morning walking tour of the Chateau Frontenac on July 28th was fun and informative. Our guide, Charlatte met us promptly at the pickup location. I loved his costume he was wearing and he remained in character the entire tour. He was very entertaining and had a lot of knowledge of the Frontenac that he shared. The tour was suppose to be one hour and it lasted a few minutes past that hour. It was a great way to learn a lot about the Chateau Frontenac and I would highly recommend it.

Our afternoon walking tour of the Chateau Frontenac on July 10th, 2017, booked through Viator, was fun and informative. Our guide, Jacques, met us promptly, along with about 10 others at the 1884 concession stand just outside this massive historical hotel. Jacques, dressed as a colonial sea merchant, stayed in character and engaged us with his excellent knowledge of the Frontenac, along with occasional good humor. He guided us through portions of the hotel that were normally inaccessible. The tour lasted about an hour and was a nice way to learn more about the Chateau Frontenac and see areas that cannot be seen unless taking the tour. I highly recommend this tour. Booking through Viator was quick and easy.

It was great to get to walk around the hotel and see areas guests don't normally see. Our tour guide was interesting and I loved that he was in costume. Definitely worth doing.

We were staying at the Frontenac and thought this would be a fun way to learn about this beautiful hotel. My husband and I happened to be the only ones taking the tour at this time slot in English so we really got a great experience. Our guide was a fun and friendly young lady - she was dressed in period costume. It was very interesting to learn how this building came to be the structure that it is today and how it is relavant historically. Also we were able to see some areas that we would not have known existed if not for the tour.
