Our guide Alex was the best! He gave us history as well as geography info all thru the day. He even played a flute. Our driver George was the best. The day was great and we even saw a condor! The scenery and itinerary was well worth our while.

Gabriel picked us up promptly from our hotel and off we went with just two other people in a spacious van. Gabriel gave us some great information along the way and was a very enthusiastic guide. Once we got out of the city, the scenery changed dramatically so it's important to have your camera ready. After our visit to the lake, Gabriel provided us with a nice snack (empanada) and an opportunity to try a nice local wine. The last stop before returning to the city was at the Chocolate House for an ice cream or something to drink. Try the ice cream, it was delicious! Like others have said, take this tour - you won’t be disappointed! Gabriel thanks for a great day and the photos.

Picked up promptly from our hotel . They fitted us in even though there were only 3 people on the tour ( and could have easily cancelled ) We went with trepidation wondering if tour would be cut short or not live up to expectations . No such problem ! Hector , our tour guide was so friendly and approachable , just made our day ! Jorge was a brilliant driver and joined in as well . Take this tour - you won’t be disappointed !

Fun day out made possible by our knowledgeable guide Hector, fantastic driver George and a wonderful group of people. We enjoyed sampling wine and empanadas under the sun at a local winery and heading up into the Andes to see the Inca Lagoon. If you’ve got a few days in Santiago highly recommend getting out of the city and learning more about the region’s history along the way!

This was a fantastic small group tour for my wife and I. The trip was well organized with punctual pick-up of all passengers at our hotels and expert accounts of many beautiful sights and scenes along the way. Driver (Patricio) and Guide (Hector) were superb - friendly, out-going, and professional. Most notably, Hector's running dialogue explaining sights and orienting us on local lore (in excellent English) the entire route up to the reservoir and Patricio's expert negotiation of narrow roadways, kept us involved and relaxed the entire day. The lunch they prepared for us at 2,500 meters was also superb. Thanks to this team for a great day. MD

We spent the day in the Andes at the Cajon del Maipo. The transportation was perfect, the weather was incredible and the scenery unmatched. The big surprise was the special lunch prepared-with three types of wine, juice, cherries, strawberries, cheeses, olives, salami, chips and more. I lost my cellphone in the van, and Gabriel and his sweet wife went out of their way to return it to me. It was over an hour each way, and returned it safe and sound. What kind honest people they are. I highly recommend this trip.

The BEST tour during our vacation in Santiago de Chile! Hector our tour guide and Gabriel our driver were EXCELLENT! They had the inside track on all the places to go and what time to arrive to avoid the crowds and make it a unique experience. We arrived at the base of the Andes mountains to see the mirror image of the Andes reflected on the water truly a magical experience. Nature as it's BEST. It was a beautiful day the sky was the most beautiful shade of blue with fluffy white clouds against the Andes mountains backdrop breathtaking. While we were taking selfies and 1,000 pictures Hector and Gabriel set up a table for the picnic which included wine! We then travel to see a waterfall and raging river followed by a pit stop to have cheese empanadas with a view of the Andes. Highly recommend this day trip if you are going to Chile!

Our guide, Hector, and our driver, Rodrigo, were fabulous guys to spend the day with. This is a long drive out of the City through small Chilean towns to the beautiful reservoir that supplies the water to Santiago. The location is stunning, set at the base of the Andes mountains. Hector shared very interesting historic and current information. We stopped at a classic Chilean farm for empanadas on the drive home. The other fabulous guests along with Hector and Rodrigo made it a perfect day.

This was a fantastic tour experience of a must-see landmark in Chile. Our tour guides, Gabriel and Hector, delivered a high quality experience that was educational, convenient and fun! Based on our observations in the area, this tour seems like the best bang for your buck, between direct drop-off at the sites (no walking required) and a delicious spread of cheeses, wine and savory snacks once in the valley. Overall would highly recommend this tour!

Our guide, Francisco took my daughter, my grandson, and me along with two others on a one-day trip on September 30, 2018 into the Andes from Santiago, Chile. Francisco was excellent in every way: giving us information along the way as well as being an excellent driver on roads and in weather (it snowed) that was challenging. We made several stops at high altitudes that were interesting and provided astonishing views. On the way we stopped to rent heavy clothing, and the price was reasonable. More importantly, the extra clothing (especially the boots) were really necessary to get around once we passed the snow line. This was an excellent trip.

The best part of the tour was not getting to Cajon del Maipo itself, but getting to meet our guide, Francisco. His love for Chile, adventure, and travel is palpable right from the beginning. Right when you get into his van in Santiago, he tells you interesting stories and facts about the city. He seems to know absolutely everything about Santiago and the Andes. He is excited when he tells you his stories and is just happy you're there to listen. You feel safe in his van, even though the rocky mountain roads and takes you farther than into the mountains than any other tour group. We went on a day with beautiful weather to Cajon Del Maipo where the sun shone brightly, the winds were calm, and there was not a hint of cloudy skies. The lake was turquoise green and quite the sight to see. I recommend climbing a big rock along the shore away from the crowds and simply enjoy the scenery and the blessing it is to be in a place so beautiful. After an hour or so of self-exploring, Francisco prepared a beautiful picnic for us with red wine, cheese, and snacks. I realized that even though Cajon del Maipo is a sight to behold, the true gift is getting to know the soul of Chile. Francisco embodies that. There is so much excitement and love in this human being that it's contagious. By the end of the trip, you'll also be in love with Chile and Santiago and wish you could stay forever.

Hector and Francisco narrated and navigated some very tough stretches of road with ease. The entire day was breathtaking from start to finish and Francisco's charming personality managed to keep the entire day lull-free!

This was a great excursion. The lake and surrounding area is gorgeous! After a short walk and it is a walk not a hike once we reached the lake we can back to find a beautiful picnic set up which included local wine and some amazing snacks. I was with friends for a milestone birthday and they gave us a bottle of wine to take back.

I give this tour a 5 star rating without actually taking this specific tour. We originally were supposed to take this tour, but we were contacted by the tour company owner, Gabriel, the day prior to let us know the bad weather had closed the road to Cajon del Maipo. Gabriel offered to switch us to a tour that went up into the Andes mountains and visited ski resorts and would add the picnic to the other tour to keep the experience comparable. Since we are easy going individuals, this sounded great. I'm glad we stuck with it. Gabriel picked us up promptly from our hotel and our tour consisted of a family of three from Uruguay and ourselves. It was phenomenal. Gabriel gave excellent commentary on the drive in both English and Spanish for both parties, pulled over for spectacular views, provided clear direction on how to get where we were going and times to return to the van, and provided a KILLER picnic spread. The trip was more than worth the cost and Gabriel was a sensational host/guide. Highly recommend any tour with his company in the future.

We had a great day out to Cajon Del Maipo. Our guide Francisco was excellent. He was very informative and friendly throughout the trip. The only advice I have is to wrap up warm as the walk up to the reservoir is a bit chilly in the morning but so worth it for the amazing view once you are up there. We stopped on the way at the ‘last house in Chile’ to sample some great empanadas!

I used to think these reviews were done by friends or people that were paid, but they are not!! If I could give more stars for this tour I would! Gabriel, I cant thank you enough, after your crazy but safe driving out of the city to your fun, knowledgeable personality and not to mention the incredible picnic you whipped up...what a day, it was jaw dropping scenery around every corner that took our breath away. We traveled all over South America and this day still stands out in my memory as one of the best. Highly recommended
