The visit to La Macarena area of a Bogota was a wonderful surprise. I could go there every night and find an endless number of charming, unique, delicious places to eat and drink. The tour with Lina and Rafael was superb and the perfect way to try lots of the local cuisine and cocktails. Would definitely do this tour again.

The La Macarena Gourmet Tour in Bogota was so much fun. Although the guide/owner planned to cancel due to only me signing up, she decided to take me on her tour. First of all the reasons that I give a 5-star rating is she is so much fun. She is kind. Secondly, the places we visited were delightful and atmospheric. I felt so welcomed by the people who were working in the restaurants that we visited. I could tell that the guide/owner was well liked and respected. Therefore, as her customer I felt very comfortable and welcomed. The neighborhood was charming. Third, the food was excellent. I loved the chance to taste Colombian specialties. Take La Macarena Gourmet Tour in Bogota! You will have a lovely evening. BTW, Bogota is wonderful!

A must when in Bogota!! Lina picked us up at our hotel right on time and after picking up a few other people, we were off to La Macarena. Lina took us to 3 AMAZING restaurants in the area. And when I say AMAZING, I mean the food was beyond delicious, the restaurants were super cool and trendy, and the experience as a whole made you feel like a local Colombian out on the town for a night with great friends. We would highly recommend this tour! If not for the food, do it for the fantastic host Lina. She is a wealth of knowledge about Bogota and Colombia and she made the experience a hundred times better. Thanks Lina!

I cannot say much about the places we visited or post pictures because I will ruin the surprise, I can only say that this is one of the best food tours I have ever taken, and I have been in quite a few. Lina is amazing, super fun, enjoys what she does and the food is OMG, to die for. You will not be disappointed.

This tour fulfilled all our expectations and was well worth the price! We were a bit weary to book this tour being that there were only two reviews, but we totally scored by taking a chance. Lina's english is very advanced and we had easy flowing conversation with her all night. She picked us up from our hotel very punctually and we were off to our first restaurant of three. We really enjoyed being able to see a neighborhood of Bogotá that we would have never had the opportunity to visit and explore otherwise. All the food was great and we were very excited about having choices at all the restaurants instead of a set menu as well as being able to choose between fruit smoothies, sangria, beer, or wine at the different locations. We learned so much from Lina about all of Bogotá, Colombia, and South America in general. Besides being super informative she also went above and beyond the job description by offering up recommendation of places to go afterwards. Overall I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to eat good food with even better company.

OMG! OMG! OMG! Sooooo good. Lina has a spooky ability to find the best tasting food every time. I thoroughly enjoyed every morsel of food we had that evening, especially the tiny sandwich place we started the night out in. Definitely request she take you there, and definitely try the chicken, you'll be amazed how they take something so common and make it taste so awesome. I'm a big guy, and we only stopped at three places, and yet by the end I was about to burst and couldn't even finish the little dish of food that she helped me eat, lol. If worth the money, you won't be disappointed, do this tour!

I was in transit back to Canada and had a stop in Bogota for the night. Decided to take the tour. I enjoyed to tour, the food was great and the conversation was fantastic. I got a chance to see Bogota at night, the night life at La Macarena, but most of all enjoyed a lovely night out with great food. I was picked up and dropped off at my hotel, which was perfect for me as was traveling alone. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone that happens to wants an organized night out or just wants to try different foods and visit an interesting part of Bogota.

Overall this tour was REALLY GREAT! We stopped at 3 amazing restaurants in the La Macarena neighborhood of Bogota. These 3 restaurants were very diverse in the offerings, and the food at all of these places WERE AMAZING. There literally was not one thing that we did not like or enjoy. Lina offered great knowledge of the area, as well as Bogota. Her passion and love of Colombia really shines through this tour! She is super personable, and does a great job of ensuring everyone is having a good time and enjoying their food choices! My only suggestion is to maybe not go on the tour completely famished. My boyfriend and I hadn't eaten all day because we were saving our appetites as well as running around site seeing all day, and while the tour filled me up, he was still hungry he's also a big guy. Thank you for a memorable tour, Lina! It was a fantastic way to visit a neighborhood we may have otherwise missed!

The guide was charming and the comfort level was great. However, only 3 places were visited. One was Cuban and we had a full meal there which filled us up, the other was a great slider place and dessert was in a loud Spanish tapas bar. We thought we were going to get smaller more authentic bites at more restaurants. This tour needs to be tweaked a bit so a true Colombian taste can shine through.

I liked the tour guide Rafael - nice guy however, the food was mediocre at best. I was expecting Colombian food and instead we stopped at three restaurants for Cuban food, Spanish tapas and a sandwich. Sandwich place was OK for taste, great cozy atmosphere and very bohemian neighborhood which I loved, but the restaurant choice should change for 64 per solo attendee. Would be great if they looked up via Bing/Google great restaurant reviews including maybe even Anthony Bourdain and bring the tour to a selection of these restaurants not random restaurants with only OK taste.
