Not only is it worth visiting because of how amazing it is and the amount of beautiful pictures you can take of the amazing waterfalls, the tour itself was super nice! Luka was our guide and he made the experience a very nice one! He was always in a good mode, shared history details with us about Croatia, answered all our questions and was our own personal photographer hehehe For sure a trip I would do again in another season! Thanks Luka for a great trip!

I really enjoyed the trip, definitely recommend this trip although the 4 hour hike for me are not enough.

Great day travelling from Zagreb in a small group. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, the lakes were unbelievably beautiful as Autumn was in the air and beginning to show in the trees.

Our guide Karlo was fantastic, and knowledgeable about Zagreb and the national park. I just wish the tour wasn't so rushed. I felt like I had to walk as quickly as possible, and squeeze past tour groups, and couldn't take a moment to really savor the beauty of the lakes. A 8:00am pick-up would have given us more time to enjoy the park. Rastoke was just a quick stop to order food.

Everything about this trip exceeded our expectations. Very easy to book and good communication with Petros, the local tour company. Our guide, Luca, met us promptly at 9 and our group of six headed off right on schedule. Luca was AWESOME. His English is perfect and he is very friendly. The ride to Rastoke and on to the park, passed quickly as our group had plenty of questions and Luca, a cultural antropologist by education, is a walking encyclopedia of all things Croatian. Once to the park, we were able to enter straightaway, which is nice because the park limits the number of people who can enter per hour and the line was quite long. Luca guided us through the park as well, and he knew the best sites and most scenic trails. This was nice because the park is very large, and we only had the one day to see it. He paced the hike perfectly, and took our preferences into consideration. For example, the queue for the boat was long, and Luca suggested using an alternative hiking trail that covered the same distance without the wait. I believe our group's age range was about 30 to 70, and we all completed the hike with no problem at all. We were lucky to have perfect weather and moderate crowds. One should not miss this experience in Croatia.

I loved this day trip to Plitvice Lakes. The inclusion of Rastoke as a short stop on the way was brilliant - a great initiation to waterfalls. The tour guide, Dimco - I'm not sure about the spelling - was excellent!

The tour guide, Matija Kavan was excellent and the tour was perfectly executed! We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Our tour guide was FABULOUS and shared his extensive knowledge of Croatia, Split, Zagreb, Plitvice and all surrounding areas. His passion for his job and Country was unparalleled and the bonus was his great sense of humor. Our guide drove safely and was a lot of fun and very accommodating. There is a split wood pathway so be sure to wear closed shoe toes or good tennis shoes. This park is a must see, one of a kind tour you can’t miss. Plitviče Lakes National Park is a 295-sq.-km forest reserve in central Croatia. It's known for a chain of 16 terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon. Walkways and hiking trails wind around and across the water, and an electric boat links the 12 upper and 4 lower lakes. The latter are the site of Veliki Slap, a 78m-high waterfall.

My guide Karlos was amazing, super knowledgeable and personable which made for a great day. Everything was really well organised and felt super professional. The lakes themselves will blow your mind and should 100% be on your bucket list. I ended up being the only person booked for this tour, so special mention to the company for still going ahead with it and not trying to reschedule me.

I was a little tired from day tours as I’d just come from the coast and had been doing quite a few finding the long day tours quite exhausting. However, I’m so glad I pushed through and went on this tour. Our guide Matija was incredibly knowledgeable not just on the lakes but on the history of Croatia and surrounding countries. He gave some great insights on the way home which made the drive go very quick. Highly recommend doing this tour.

Absolutely a must if you can do it. Our guide, Dinko, was sensational. Very informative on the drive up with historical information and his local knowledge. Small group of 8. Dinko looked after us so well. The stop at little village Rastoke, was also nice to see. Highly recommended day tour

We are very glad we went to the Plitvice Lakes with this tour company and their highly experienced guide. It is a very popular destination and we realized that it would be very difficult to go independently. We chose this company for its excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. The 8-seater van was a new model and in excellent condition. Safety is our top priority. There were three other guests in our group who all enjoyed this trip as well. Karlo our driver and guide was very personable and has a wealth of knowledge on the sights along the route, and Croatian history. He is a very safe driver and made our trip very enjoyable. You might find tour operators with a cheaper price but you get what you pay for. For us, safe vehicles and safe drivers are our top priorities. This company and our guide Karlo exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed the tour and we will go on the Slovenia tour with them when we come back to Zagreb.

We really enjoyed our tour to Plitvice Lakes. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history of Croatia and passionate about political history which we enjoyed. The guide gave us plenty of time for photos and took pictures of the couples in the photogenic spots. Strongly recommend this tour, was a highlight of our trip.

Our guide Mat is a fantastic conversationalist, super friendly and helpful in terms of giving recommendations. I was so lucky to have sat up front, next to him so that I could talk to him the whole trip. We discussed history, sports, to getting recommendations for our next destination--Zadar. Our day started early (Mat was on time and the meeting location was easy to find) and it was jammed packed with getting to Rastoke and hiking half of the 8 km park. He had all the sites planned out so that we would have amazing pictures and we didn't have to wait in the sun too long (for the boat ride). I recommend going in the summer so that you can see all of the park. Put your hiking boots on and get moving!

Matt our tour guide was excellent. We have learnt so much about Croatia and its rich history. Beautiful scenery, excellent tour overall! I can strongly recommend.

We went on this tour the day before yesterday. It's a bit of a drive to get to the park, but well worth it. The pit stop to see the milling town and to grab a quick bite is well placed to break up the drive. The park itself is breathtakingly beautiful. The waterfalls and lakes are truly a natural wonder and well worth seeing. The whole place is one post card worthy view after another. Our guide Mat was both friendly and helpful. I would caution those considering the tour that this is a fairly lengthy hike of around six miles, and the path isn't particularly well maintained by North American standards so if you aren't particularly fit and have problems with mobility or balance this probably isn't a tour you want to take. That's no fault of the tour operator its simply the status of the park. Proper foot wear and being prepared for rain are also advisable.

Plitvice Lakes is a sight to behold. This place should be in the list of Wonders or the world. Highly recommended with comfy shoes and lots of water =))
• Submitted 03 Jul 2019
Our guide knew where to go and how to avoid the queues. This meant we got the most out of the incredible experience. The lakes and village are extraordinary. Places not to miss.

Our guide was Marty . He was very informative and gave loads of tips duing the trip and madr sure we were okay as its quiet exhausting if you aren’t someone who is used to walking for hours . If you have only one day and don’t plan to stay at Plitvice Lakes National Park - you surely need a guide or else you’ll land up clueless and get lost . Being on this tour saves a lot of time and removes the hassle of planing how to get there and allows to make the most of the time you have . Lunch options are very limited so probably buy your own before if you are very particular. Our tour ended at 4pm and was back to the hotel at 6pm which gave me enough time to explore Zagreb as well.

This was an excellent tour, our tour guide carlo was awesome. It wasn't just a tour of the lakes- we got history we got current events , we got a sense of Croatia that we did not have prior to the trip. The lake was spectacularly breathtaking, truly a wonder of nature.
