Karim was an amazing guide, it was very personalized and we enjoyed every minute of it! The information provided on the way really helped us understand when we got there too. Thank you!

Excellent half day trip. The guide, Karim, was brilliant, engaging with everyone through in a fun, but informative way. Vineyard tour and tasting very good, despite a problem trying to buy wine at the end!! Highly recommended.

It was a lovely afternoon and Valery shared a lot of information with us on our drive to the winery as well as in St Emilion. "Lily" at the winery provided an in depth lesson in the growing and production of wine at this very lovely location and we all enjoyed the tasting. St Emilion is charming and I would really have liked to have more time there to enjoy the visit. We were back in Bordeaux a little before 6:00 pm, and I would have liked another 30 minutes in St Emilion and returned a little later. The wine cave we saw was very cool!

Our trip to St. Emilion went very smoothly from start to finish. We were met by our tour guide at the Tourism Office in Bordeaux where she introduced herself and explained the itinerary for the morning. The drive to St. Emilion took approx. 1 hour but it didn’t feel like an hour as our guide was explaining about the history of wine in the region and the influence of the sun, soil and water on the grapes. Once in St. Emilion we visited Villeneuve Vineyard and were shown around the processing plant and the storage caves by James our extremely knowledgeable Sommelier. Our visit included wine tasting which James hosted in the village of St. Emilion where we sampled 6 delicious local red wines with the opportunity to purchase! Our visit concluded with free time to explore the architecture and retail opportunities of St. Emilion. We then met our tour guide for a smooth ride back to Bordeaux.

We thoroughly enjoyed our half day St Emilion tour with Clement, who provided lots of insight, knowledge of wine and local tips! A good group and an entertaining and expert guide. As others have commented, anyone looking to see more of the town would be better booking a full day trip, but this was an ideal introduction to the region and its winemaking - as well as tasting!

Our guide, Luigi, was very informative. He was our driver and guide. He even was the guide for the wine tour and was very good. I highly recommend this tour with Luigi as the guide. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

We had the most wonderful visit to St Emilion for a half day trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and showed us a great time. We were able to go to a chateaux with two different labels, both of which were excellent. During our explanation of the town, we opted to taste at 2 different wine shops as well which rounded out the experience! Overall, wonderful trip. I highly recommend doing if you’re in Bordeaux and don’t have time for more!

This was such great tour. Luigi was our guide and he was so knowledgeable. He gave great explanations and was entertaining as well. I went alone and met some great people so a good thing when traveling solo. St. Emilion is beautiful and the wine tasting was great. I thoroughly recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful tour led by Angie. She was a fantastic tour guide who brought everybody together and was very well prepared for the hot weather (face mister, water bottles etc). She even gave us tips on things happening in Bordeaux (jazz festival) and a little tour of St Emilion itself, which was nice as we discovered spots we wouldn't have seen otherwise. As for the vineyards themselves; whilst the wine portions are admittedly small, that's not something specific to this tour or this company - every other tour choice would be the same. The actual vineyards were a good range of old vs modern, so it was nice to see both sides of the spectrum. We came away very pleased with our tour and have recommended it to others.

With limited time in Bordeaux, this half-day tour to St Emilion was a great way to see the countryside and do a little wine tasting. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the wine-making process and a good driver too. We had a wine tasting and cheese at a small vineyard, then on to the village of St Emilion where our guide showed us around and explained the history, before leaving us to explore. At no time did the trip seem rushed.

Wonderful afternoon spent exploring the wineries and region of St Emilion. Our guide was knowledgeable about all aspects of wines from the Bordeaux region, and we had a lovely time strolling around the town of St Emilion. Highly recommend this tour.

Driver, tour guide and general organisation very good. Pity about the weather!! The wine tasting tour was interesting and we were able to see a bit of St Emilion in the dry!
• Submitted 03 Jul 2019
Fantastic tour. Tour driver/guide was a nice, normal person who was very knowledgable about the St Emilion area and wine growing. The guide at the two wineries was very knowledgable and very kind. I wish I could give this tour six stars for this reason: We contacted the tour operator before the tour and they rearranged the tour to match up with our lunch plans.
