Head to Nice Harbor in the morning to board your ferry. Relax as you cruise from Nice along the stunning French Riviera, arriving in the principality of Monaco — the second-smallest country in the world, behind the Vatican — about 45 minutes later.

The Port of Monaco offers a grand and unforgettable panorama: luxury yachts bobbing in the harbor, palaces clinging to a rocky outcrop overlooking the Mediterranean, and a mix of ancient and ultra-modern architecture in the lively city center.

The whole day is yours to spend as you please. There is no guide, so you can enjoy the flexibility to create your own itinerary and explore at your own pace. Soak up Monaco’s glamor and extravagance as you stroll around the harbor and wander down streets lined with buzzing cafes and chic boutiques. Then make your way to Monaco’s famous attractions.

Get a glimpse into royal life at the Prince’s Palace (Palais du Prince) or watch the dramatic poker-faced gamble in the grand marble-and-gold Casino of Monte Carlo. Nature lovers can visit the cliff-top Oceanographic Museum (Musée Océanographique de Monaco) for a glimpse at the sea creatures of the Mediterranean. Visit the rooftop terrace for sweeping views of Monaco and the sea beyond.

Head to the Exotic Garden (Jardin Exotique) to see the world’s largest succulent and cactus collection and tour the prehistoric underground caves (Grottes de l’Observatoire). Back above ground, rub shoulders with locals at Monaco’s only microbrewery, the Brasserie de Monaco, where you can enjoy craft ales and lagers with tasty antipasti plates (happy hour usually starts at 5pm).

At the end of your day in Monaco, board the ferry and cruise 45 minutes along the coast back to Nice.

Excellent way to get from Nice to Monaco. Short walk to Monte Carlo. No guide involved. Bar and toilets on board. Very punctual.

Arriving by boat to Monaco is really the way to go on a sunny day. The staff were friendly and the boat was clean. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

We chose this over driving to Monaco and were delighted with our choice. The boat was large, clean, well maintained and comfortable. A good commentary on the way back to Nice

It was a wonderful cruise. The speaker was knowledgeable about the area. The crew were friendly. The boat was clean and accommodated everyone. I would definitely recommend this trip.

A wonderful day out. Scenery on both the boat trip to Monaco and in Monaco itself was spectacular. Seeing how the other half live with Ferraris etc driving around everywhere was fun and having the opportunity to just explore for ourselves once we got there was great. As Monaco is so small there was plenty of time to take it all in. Highly recommend getting the hop on hop off bus which leaves not far from where the boat arrives to take in all the sights. Guide on the boat was very knowledgable in showing us all the houses of the rich and famous along the Riviera coastline on the way home.

Fantastic tour with friendly knowledgeable staff. It was everything I hoped it would be and more.

What better way to see the view from Nice to Monaco than by boat. It was a great atmosphere and the staff where lovely. Highly recommended.

Brilliant tour on the boat. The captain was very informative and had a great sense of humour.

Loved the cruise. Commentary was great. Guide was so knowledgeable. Pointed out celebrities homes and gave us a great history about the area. Great price for a great way to visit Monaco. When you arrive in Monaco it's a little confusing on how to see the area. I suggest the bus tour where you can get on and off. Great way to learn about the area.

Very good way of getting to Monaco from NICE. Only 45 min to 60 min journey back, with good commentary on way back. Definitely recommend this cruise.

Will recommend to all our friends. A must !!

The best way to travel to and from Monaco. Amazing views of the coastline, especially if you sit upstairs or downstairs out the front. Some interesting commentary about the houses along the coastline by the crew! Allow plenty of time to find the ticket desk/departure point as it's not that obvious as we ended up in the queue for ferries to Corsica!

Great day out

Great transportation for the day to Monaco. I would highly recommend it because it is much more scenic that the bus or train. The hours in Monaco were enough to enjoy and see the sites.

It was an amazing trip. The boat ride was quite chilly but the time in Monaco was wonderful. Loved it.
• Submitted 22 Jun 2016
The only disappointing part is that 6 hours is not enough to spend in Monaco. There's plenty to do and see there. The boat trip itself is also great, going pretty close to the marvelous coastline.
• Submitted 31 Aug 2015
Super tour along the coast. The boat stops at Port De Fontvielle harbour, not the main harbour in Monaco, so you do have to walk into the centre from this port.
• Submitted 21 Aug 2015
Great boat trip and amazing views .Staff were very friendly and the onboard drinks were also reasonably price .well worth doing .would do it all over again
• Submitted 10 Aug 2015
The tour was excellent. We didnt expect a guided tour on the way so that was pleasant surprise. One of the crew member, William, was an excellent guide and told us a lot about the towns and the villas on the way.
