The small group tour with Frances was fabulous. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave the group lots of useful tips about places to eat. We tasted many delicious local foods, one which was the chickpea pancake called Soca. We had a very nice breakfast of fruit and pastries and Frances bought us some local cheeses to try for lunch. The tour was excellent value for money. Highly recommend it.

Second time we’ve booked a food tour with Viator. Both experiences were excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and took us to so many places to try local specialities. She gave us historical information to better understand the nuances of Nicoise cuisine.

This was a wonderful way to start off a stay in Nice. Our happy and knowledgeable guide was a local, well known to the culinary scene in Nice, Marion, nick named the "White Wolf". She is a native and knows her stuff! We visited and sampled the fresh market in Old Town and tasted extraordinary regional delicacies. We finished the tour high upon the hill overlooking Nice, enjoying a special fare of wine and cheeses which she had collected along the tour. The French know their food...what a treat! Do not miss!!

I had hoped to take good care of my stomach during my stay in Nice, ...and I was not disappointed. The "friendly family atmosphere" of the tour was an added bonus. There were some really interesting stops on this tour, from quaint little shops to the vibrant market scene. A colorful provinciale ( Juliette) was the creator of some really excellent goat cheese.

Our tour guide was amazing! She took us to the old town in Nice where there are shops going back to the 1800's. We sampled wine, cheeses and olive oils I've never tasted before, also other foods native to France. This walking tour gives you a chance to see places that the locals are familiar with, but as a tourist you may not get to discover, especially if your time in Nice is limited. Wonderful tour for someone that loves to try new things and see the sites at the same time and our guide Marianne was wonderful!

The English speaking was beyond amazing. She knows how to run a great tour. I learned tons about culture, history, food and wine. Her suggestions have already had an impact on my further time in France.

We've taken a number of Foodie tours in the past and this by far was the very best. First of all, our guide Marion is very much a foodie herself. Her rapport with the various shop owners and market vendors was quite evident. Throughout the tour she purchased items she would later share with our entire group of 11. First, at our coffee break we enjoyed 2 fresh bakery products as well as fresh strawberries and cherries. Later in the tour we enjoyed a sampling of pizza and socca along with a glass of her preferred Rose wine. And, at our last stop she prepared a sampling of cheeses based on the groups preferences. So much more to write but let's simply say that this is a not a tour to be missed. Thank you Marion!

This was an awesome Foodies tour. Mariona is absolutely the best. She combines history with a great food experience. You will get to walk with her through the markets and 'Mom and Pop' spots to hear about history and sample the foods of the area. You can visit with the local people and learn so much. We have done many 'Foodie tours' throughout many countries and she by far shines on top. You will not be disappointed at all.

It was a terrific tour definitely a highlight of my visit to Nice. Marion is so knowledgeable and so personable. I had walked through part of the market the day before on my own, but this was totally different. The first part focused on sweet treats and the second on savory and she wove history of Nice and tips about food throughout. We had a chance to sample so many foods. I give this tour 5 stars and recommend it to anyone visiting that beautiful city.

We strolled though the Nice market and the shops in the side street. Our guide was a delightful young woman, very good English, who knew the shop owners and places to do the best tastings. Highly recommended.

Loved it! Marigal sorry don't have the correct spelling was a delight and took the time to educate and show us the produce/flower market. Ended up going back to all the places we visited with her. She patiently explained the various cheeses, olive oils, pasties and what not. Samplings were plentiful and we were filled once the tour was finished. Would definitely try the tour again. PS - when we ran into Marigal the next day she was conducting another tour but taking the group to slightly different places which indicated the versatility of the tour.

The small group Nice Food tour was just excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable, fun and well prepared. The groups was small enough so all could hear and participate. The food choices were great and the history of the cheeses, olive oils, chocolates, wine plus others was very informative. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the foods of Provence.

DO THIS TOUR! If you want a wonderful culinary tour of the old town of Nice, with a very lovely and knowledgeable guide Marion, then you need to do this tour. I read almost every review before we made the purchase. Tip: Don't eat breakfast! We met at 9.30am, and the tour continued until 2pm : We didn't have to pay for anything outside of the tour price itself which was a pleasant surprise unless you want to buy items along the way yourself, of course! Marion paced us well, wandering the little streets, tasting all that Nice has to offer, giving amazing suggestions for places to eat or visit later. We stopped for coffee after rambling through the market, and the tour rounded out with an amazing Olive Oil tasting Anne was so full of information, and very interesting to listen to!. We got to sit and relax with a glass of Rosé and some of the treats we purchased along the way, and it was nice to chat to Marion and take in all we had experienced that day. She also offers Wine Tasting which we regret not making time to do before we left! DO THIS TOUR, you won't regret it :

Wonderful tour . . .thoroughly enjoyed the history information and the great variety of food. Marion was a delight -- very friendly and informative. She selected foods we all enjoyed and even had a picnic on top of the tower. Will definitely contact Viator in the future.

Had a great experience with Marianne! She was highly knowledgeable about the history not only of the food, but also the region which made this a wonderful learning experience. The picnic at the top of the Castle Hill was the perfect ending to the tour. The tour went at the perfect pace and I ended up trying many foods I would not have tried on my own. A must for learning the city and the foods of the region!!

Always look to do a tour like this early in our stay, to learn more about local foods and specialities, and how and when they are eaten. What to look for when buying and where to buy. Only 8 in the group and very knowledgable guide, learnt a lot about Nice and its people, its history with heaps of amazing tastings along the way make sure you don't eat much before you go. Certainly found it very informative for the rest of our 11 day stay in Nice!
