I highly recommend this tour for those who happen to be in Tokyo and do not have enough time to spend a night in Nikko. There are many beautiful sceneries to see and learn about the history of Japan. There was an uncontrolled incident that caused a delay on our trip. However, Yoko, the guide, handled that very well. She proactively worked with us to reorganize the itinerary and ensured that we saw most attractions. Despite the fact that we ended up spending more time on the bus than at the actual sites, I did not regret taking the trip. It was fulfilled and I learned a lot from it.

We had such a lovely day trip with our very friendly host, Mika and very competent bus drivers. It was a day of beautiful scenery and great cultural awareness. I can highly recommend this trip and would advise on booking the delicious lunch as well.

The success of this tour was based on Amy’s expertise. She went out of her way to accommodate guest needs. Thank you Amy!

Guide was very friendly. The tour took us to the beautiful Toshogu temple and breathtaking lake and waterfall views. 100% recommended.

The organisation was impeccable and the host took great care and responsibility about their guests. The lunch was very good and there was plenty to fill in every stomach. The site was truly magnificent and the host told us a lot about the historical background of the place. Overall: very good and I highly recommend.

This was a great tour. From transportation, the tour guide Joe and the actual tour. The shrines and site were absolutely beautiful. We loved every single minute.

We had a wonderful day! Our guide was very informative and accommodating. We lucked out and had beautiful weather, too.

It is a long bus trip to Nikko but totally worth it. The place is beautiful. I would have liked one more hour on the site though. The guide was knowledgeable, attentive and helpful although his English was painfully weak. The tour was well organized.

The Toshogu Shrine was worth the trip. Lunch on this tour was very good. Lake Chunzenji and Kevin Falls are a bonus.

Our Japanese guide, Marie is enthusiastic and very effective in managing things to run on time. The Nikko is beautiful and Japanese lunch set is nice. We are lucky that the day we went to Nikko, the heat wave has just cooled down a little and the tropical storm has not yet arrived. So, it was a perfect day for me.

The guide and driver were absolutely the best I have ever seen. She diligently explained everything throughout the tour. I learned so much from her and had a great time.

Overall the trip was better than my expectation... from the driver, tour guide(Yoko), to Nikko. Thank you for such an informative tour and going above and beyond to help everyone feels comfortable. Our family of four including two children- Highly recommended - as first timers. Thank you!

We had rain. But these guys just like all Japanese do a great job. Travelled with my wife and 3 kids all under 10.

We don't typically like to take tours, preferring to travel on our own. The Toshogu Shrine is a must see for everyone traveling to Japan. Our guide Amy has to be the best tour guide we've come across in all of our travels. She's very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. On our tour bus, there was a teething toddler, and she cried during the entire 3.5 hours trip to Nikko. Amy was extremely accommodating to that family and to the other passengers. She's a 5-star guide.

What an amazing place. We were very lucky that because of the time of year there were very few tourists about so we were able to explore the site very easily. It is a magical place and we were so pleased that we went. The included lunch was very authentic and just perfect to warm us all back up. Our guide, Nao, was very informative and moved things along at a pace that was just right. Highly recommend this trip.

This day tour was very well organized from start to finish. Our guide, Shin-san was very informative, entertaining and helpful. All three places visited - the temple/shrine/tomb, the picturesque lake and the waterfall were well worth the trip. The Japenese lunch was of exceptional quality - and more than enough in quantity. Ellie was a totally authentic, gracious, and kind guide. Highly recommend this tour to see the sites in the National Park area of Nikko! The fresh air and massive trees not to mention the equally impressive temples were quite fantastic. Ellie provided us some interesting inside Japanese context and was personable as well as super helpful to get us going along with our directions after we were dropped off @ Shinjuko Station. The alpine lake visit was quite lovely in spite of the 48 switchbacks on the winding road. Kudos to the great driver for skillfully manipulating the mountain and keeping us from getting motion sickness. One warning: the bus ride is a bit long at a little over 2 hours each way so beware that there are no bathrooms on the bus...however, there is a rest stop a little over half way which is nice to get a coffee or freshen up. The waterfalls was also a highlight. Quite a long day but lovely and well worth getting out of the concrete jungle of Tokyo! Again, Ellie made the trip so enjoyable as a great guide.

The Nikko National Park tour was fantastic. It was a great day trip from Tokyo. I did not find the bus trip too long and thought the sites that were seen were amazing. Being close to Tokyo, I had no idea that Japan had that amazing scenery to it. The guide did a great job explaining everything despite the massive crowds everywhere. Well done!
