Great to get out of the city and explore the wineries and countryside. Terrific lunch and we met some great people on our tour.

Had a great time. The perfect amount of wineries for the day and the driver / host Janet was great. We had a lovely day.

This was a lot of fun, took about an hour to get us out there and back ... but the 4 wineries that we did stop at were all good. Pegasus Bay is worth the trip alone, great wine and awesome atmosphere. We lucked out and had a great group with us and the laughs were flowing as much as the wine! Our guide Don was very nice and gave some insight into the area.

We have moved to Christchurch last Feb so were really surprised with how many wineries there are right in our own backyard. Great tasting🍷 and nice selections. Was overall a lovely day👍

I had a great afternoon with this tour. Nice small group of people, friendly driver Keith, the wineries visited were great with a lovely lunch included at first stop, great idea that one ! :) and the wines tasted were very nice, couldnt leave without purchasing one from each winery. I would do this all over again. :)

We had a great time on the tour! Our guide Graham was great - very knowledgeable, had some good dad jokes and trivia, and our fellow wine tasters (all from Australia) were fun to get to know! Bought a bottle of Riesling which I plan to have at Christmas.

Superb views, superb wine and expertise. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, with the humour and the expertise displayed by the owner and producer at Torlesse. We also had the privilege to meet Dennis at Waipara Hills who took the time to Educate us a little about wine tasting and transmit his expertise. In all four locations, the surroundings were superb however, as it was a rainy day, we could not enjoy the views as we would have liked to. The lunch at waipara springs was excellent and copious.

Great tour and definitely a fun way to spend your afternoon in Christchurch.

Sue was amazing! On a Saturday during the summer, it was only me and another lovely gal that were able to experience the Waipara region. It was a blast. Sue was very helpful in telling us to be sure to stay hydrated and be eating snacks along the way. Highly recommend this tour!

Loads of variety and lovely wineries to visit.

i really enjoyed this wine tour! Especially the winery at pegasus bay was exceptional!

Wonderful afternoon with a well versed driver. Our start with a most delicious lunch and amazing wine pairings, then three more wineries sampling delightful wines. Each winery had its own special appeal and the hosts were extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Recommend it highly!

Pick up was right on time from Christchurch City Center. Wineries in the region specialize in white wines and lighter reds like Pinot Noir, so expect a lot of these on your tasting menu. Definitely bring some cheese and crackers for a snack, as the tour doesn't stay long enough at any winery to order food or even a charcuterie plate. Would have liked to have a little more time to linger at some of the vineyards. The last one - Pegasus Bay - definitely the nicest on the tour with the best quality wines. I would definitely recommend going just to see their grounds!

We had a wonderful afternoon on this wine tour with our driver Scotty. He gave out great info on Christchurch as we picked up others on the tour. The four places we tried wine at were great: Waipara Hills, Greystone Muddy Water, Torlesse, and Pegasus Bay. We had a nice cold platter lunch and wine before leaving Waipara Hills. The grounds at Pegasus Bay are just as worthwhile as the wine. Thanks again Scotty for a lovely day.

Excellent Tour - Greystone, Waipara Hills, and Pegasus Bay were excellent in regard wines and tasting process. The first winery Waipara Springs where we had lunch the tasting process was poor, just refilled glasses no discussion. The problem may be trying to do the tasting with lunch? Ed

We had a great day from pickup to drop off. Our guide was extremely friendly with a great sense of humour. Tasting plate lunch was delicious and very generous. Wines were plentiful and varied at all four wineries. We needed to take this tour on arrival so we could purchase wines to drink while we were in NZ!!! No pressure to purchase was appreciated. Certainly recommended

We had arrived back in Christchurch and the end of our holiday, we decided to have a wine tour, we got in touch with Canterbury Leisure day tours. they picked us up from where we were staying, Sue our tour guide/ driver was very good in her knowledge of the area and of the vineries we were going to visit, we had a very good tour with her as we were traveling with four other people who were in Christchurch for the Rugby match, I think that she may have thought that we may not enjoy ourselves but we did as she put everyone at ease. I would recommend both Canterbury Day tours and Sue who also described herself as a selfie stick so that we could get better pictures of the places we visited.

Excellent value for money, so many wines,.... so little time!!! Lunch was superb and a great idea to have it as the first stop and tasting, so we all got to sit around a table, introduce ourselves and chat. The wineries were lovely, informative and very friendly, no rushing you out the door for the next group. Our group was 9 and we certainly had the full attention of the hosts, without the pressure to buy.
