Excellent tour. Our driver made the trip so more fun. Think he called himself, 'silly Billy' an English man. The whole trip was a hoot. The tour was mind blowing, didn't realize just how big the film industry was in Wellington. The craftsmen of all the movie monsters, etc are amazing. Would do it again.

Well where can I start, From the moment the bus pulled in to pick us up we were entertained by the driver. His commentary all the way was first class and he knew what he was talking about. Also was a very good driver. Same for the guide at the Weta Cave. He made sure every one could hear him and was open to questions. The tour was well worth the money and would recommend it to all.

from the beginning to end it was wonderful. our driver was informative and polite. the shop inside is fabulous (but expensive). There is no one highlight for us with this tour as EVERYTHING amazed us. The documentary at the start is great and a good idea to see first. walking through with our tour guide was fun as he was funny, informative and answered all questions. I was great to be able to see people working on things - they smiled and waved at us. the last part was really cool where you can touch things and see how things work. Will definitely go back. Great value for money.

if you have ever wondered how movies are made go to Weta workshop OMG you would not believe all the different props/people/ real and pretend that Weta either make or just makeup, how many films they are a part of. The dedication of all involved in such a special place is amazing. I in Wellington a trip to the workshop is a must. Prepare to be amazed

Do not miss this tour. It is well done and extremely interesting. We loved seeing how the effects and costumes are made. The chemist at the end was as entertaing as Doc Brown. Our only criticism was that it was only for an hour and copyright laws did not allow picture taking in most areas..

This a great tour for fans of sci-fi to see how one of the greatest special effects companies do their work. It includes an exclusive video and museum of props. Followed by a short your of how they make them inclusion more original props. Also a great gift shop for unique momentos.

Great tour a group of us did this and we were all wowed by Weta. The shuttle driver gave us a bit of an extra detour there and back from the Weta workshop due to traffic congestion on the day. Was amazing to see what talented people we have to create what you see on screen.

Loved this tour. It was bought as a present for my husband and he was very pleased with it.. We were picked up outside the i-site in Wellington at the time specified on the booking confirmation. The driver was very informative on the trip to the workshop. Once there we watched a video about Weta Studios and then were taken on a tour of the workshop. Couldn't take many photos but what we could take were good. The return to Wellington was taken passed the green screen area they use for filming. Very enjoyable indeed.

We were completely blown away by the talented team and what they produce in such an unglamorous situation. We were so glad that we went there and all the transport etc. worked seamlessly. If ever you are in Wellington make sure you have a look at Weta Workshop.

Although I didn’t take the extensive tour, this was one of the highlights of my trip to Wellington. The studios are amazing, and being able to observe up close the artistry behind Peter Jackson’s blockbuster films was both fun and interesting. This tour is a good compliment to the Museum Te Papa.
