We had a great time. Certainly, there was more wine and food than I expected. No skimping on this trip and no pushy sales. This was pure fun. Violet, our guide, was a real kick in the pants. We loved her and highly recommend her as a guide.

Our trip was wonderful, well organised, very informative and interesting. We visited 2 different wineries, had traditional Portuguese meal at a family owned restaurant with a gorgeous view of the valley and went on the boat trip. The day was well worth it!!

The two of us went with 3 other coupés that we did not know. All different nationalities. It was a great group, we had lots of fun. Out tour guide was great, she knew a lot, and told along the way. The sights picked were for small groups which was exactly what we wanted. The lunch was also top. Can only recommend this tour if you are interested in smaller intimate groups, going to places with very few tourists.

The day we spent in the Douro Valley was PERFECT from start to finish! Our full-day small group excursion included pick-up and drop-off at our hotel. The weather was warm and sunny, and our travel companions made for a fun and eclectic group! The Douro Valley itself was indescribably lush and beautiful, and the port wine estates that we visited provided Informative tours and offered generous tastings and a nice variety of wines. Our delectable lunch included both meat and fish selections as well as red and white wine. The hour-long river cruise was the frosting on the cake. Our guide Nunu was excellent and did a masterful job of navigating the hairpin turns on the vertiginous two-lane roads in the valley. Not all Douro Valley Tours are equal so I highly recommend this one if you want the very best experience possible!

Our tour guide's name was Bruno. This tour had a max of 8 people. Bruno is a wonderful tour guide. He is very friendly and caring. He grew up in Porto and lives in Vila Nova de Gaia so knows his way around and the history of the place. He has a great personality and took the time to get to know the tour group. He is also very observant and kept my mom company as she was not feeling well and did not participate with the wine tasting parts of the trip. I have been on many tours in different countries and this has been my favourite so far. The group itself was great as everyone got along and had a lot of common interests (wine for one!) The drive is a little long but Bruno kept us entertained. There were a few stops along the way for washroom breaks/photo ops. The 1st wine producing estate we visited was called Quinta do Espinho where we sampled the table wines (red, white and rose). We also got to see the vineyard and take pictures of the Duoro River in the background. We then went to a restaurant for lunch. Lots of food to go around. After, we went on the river cruise to admire the beautiful scenery. My mom was even able to steer the boat (under the watchful eye of the captain). The 2nd wine tasting was at Quinta do Beijo where we toured the facility and sampled the table wines and port. The port was EXCELLENT, had to purchase a bottle to take home. Overall, great experience, especially if you like wine!

All of us in my travel party agreed that our day in the Douro Valley, with the river cruise, the wine tastings and the Portuguese lunch was time and money very well spent—probably the best full day out of a two-week vacation excellent. We recommend it to anyone vacationing in Portugal.

This valley of tiered vineyards is beautiful beyond words. Our guide Pedro was the best! We cruised the river at the base of the valley, visited two outstanding vineyards and eat a great lunch with the locals. A bucket list item I didn't know of until I saw it.

4 of us attended the tour 2 days ago. Picked up at our AirBnB and then provided information on Duoro Valley as well as what we saw en route. Van quite comfortable. Tour guide professional and attentive. River cruise very relaxing. We went to 2 wineries, can’t recall the names but people at first one not the most welcoming. Was a good day overall and recommend this tour. The sights are amazing.

This tour was an excellent way to get a taste and a feel for the Douro Valley. Wine tasting at two places (the second place included lunch) and 30 minute cruise on the river in between with some gorgeous views. This was a small group of 8 which was perfect!

Friendly helpful guide Bruno was very informative. We were picked from our accommodation and dropped back at the end of the day. The tour included a beautiful trip on the Douro river. We also had tastings at 2 Quintas including at Quinta de Beijo where we tasted wines and ports including a 58 year old white! We also had great lunch included in the trip. All in all a great day out. Would certainly recommend.

Great day tour. Not only a wine tasting but a drive to the top of a mountain to see the beautiful river and vineyards from on high, followed by a delightful ride on the river itself. Our driver and guide knew so much about the wine and the region -- he was excellent. The lunch was very good as well. All in all a fine day.
