Meeting Point. Important to be on time. The tour departs on time.

Meet your guide in Santa Ana Square, and set off on a tapas crawl of the city, exploring the best bars that only locals really know of. As you stroll, your guide will chat to you about Madrid, the local cuisine and, of course, the tapas bars that no great evening in Madrid should be without!

Like all Spanish cities, Madrid has its own regional cuisine with an emphasis on use of local ingredients. Perhaps more so than others, Madrid has been influenced by its immigrant population, who’ve brought in flavors and ideas as cosmopolitan as the city itself.

Visit up to four bars on your tour of the town, enjoying wine tastings in each. Sample beautiful Spanish wines made from well-known grapes like tempranillo, malvar, garnacha, and parellada, and enjoy a complimentary tapa (tapas dish) to complement the wine's flavors. Beer and soft drinks (one per bar) are also included should you prefer this to wine! While the dishes vary on each occasion, you can be sure it’s a taste bud tingling treat! Examples of dishes include eggplant with honey, cod brandade, Spanish omelet, Iberian ham and chickpea stew. See the example itinerary for details on the different bars you may visit.

Your tapas tour finishes in a centrally located bar so that you’re well-placed to continue your night out independently.

Carlos was an awesome tour guide for our small group. Every Tapas place had great food and drink though they were crowded as can be expected. This is an activity that is best done upon arrival into Madrid so one knows where to get good food and drink while staying in Madrid.

Rodrigo was a superb guide, explaining the social function of the Spanish tascas and the tradition of going for tapas, wine and cañas. The four tapas bars chosen were very good and we had quite a variety of tapas and wines. It was a night to remember!

Rodrigo our guide met us at the designated location in Piazza Santa Ana. A fun area, I'd like to go back and explore. Rodrigo appeared very knowledgeable about wine. We went to 4 different restaurants and he explained the tapas and wine at each. The first one had some type of cider as well. Everything was great, plenty of wine and eats. The last stop, El Abuelo was great and featured a delicious shrimp dish. We had a very fun group. I would do the tour again.

We just arrived in Madrid and had this tour booked to help us get familiar with Madrid and to recover from jet lag. This was a great idea. Our guide Rodrigo was fantastic and very friendly. He took us to neat places with good food we never would have found on our own - we went back to one of the places for lunch. He sent us an email after the tour listing the places we went to and food we tasted which we found helpful. Recommend this tour.

If you only take one wine and tapas tour, take this one. Paula, our host, took us to four different tapas bars and each place was wonderful in its own right. The food was delicious and the wine was yummy (I always had the Ribero del Duero red). Paula is a gifted hostess. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her knowledge of the local cuisine made each meal even better. When choosing a tapas and wine tour, this is the one to choose.

Good food (average two dishes at each of four venues), good wine (a glass at each venue), good company and an excellent guide. What more could you want?) A warning though, this is dinner so don't eat before!

The mood was set the moment we arrived when our tour guide, Raul, introduced himself with a bit of humour. The tour was fantastic and exposes you to a lot of authentic Spanish cuisine from the region. At easy restaurant you visit you get a choice of different drinks to try with the food. This tour is perfect for any visitor to Madrid.
