Flying to Sri Lanka from Australia:
The Tear Drop Isle is roughly a 13 hour flight from Australia depending on which city you depart from. A transit stop will be made en route and the better options in terms of total duration from Sydney are with Singapore Airlines and Malaysia Airlines. Qantas also operate the route partially on a codeshare with other airlines. Flight times from Perth are shorter at 10 hours on average with the same airlines operating the route.
