The hike was awesome, the area absolutely stuningly beautiful. The tour guide is great and I will recommend her for any tourist. Loved the cultural and natural explanations and history. The Big Buddha was beautiful and, as a lover of all things religion, I enjoyed every moment we spent there

It was a great and delightful tour with a clever dog called MIa. Everything was well arranged including lunch and sightseeing. I definitely recommend this tour those who want to take a look around Big Budda and the temple. I would like to take 4 ways water tour someday with the guides. Thank you for Ice and Nim.

Great trek, but its a lot harder than I expected, we did the 2km straight up trek, im a moderately fit 50 year old and found it hard work at times but saying that we had a 73 year old guy who got up but just took a bit longer. Once you are at the top of the trek its pretty easy from then on, theres also a pit stop at the top at a local cafe which was welcome. Lunch was back at the hotel where we started and was amazing I hadnt expected it to be so good. You are given water but id recommend taking extra with you.

This was absolutely BRILLIANT! Would recommend to anyone travelling to Phuket. Our guide Ice was friendly, and informative. She took us on a nice walk up to the Big Buddha where we could walk up at our own pace. When we got to our first stop, we had a lovely view of the ocean with fresh coconuts and fruits as refreshments. We were given adequate time to explore the Big Buddha before heading to the temple which was beautiful. Lunch at CC's Hideaway was fresh and some of the best food I've had while traveling around Asia. AMAZING!

This was an amazing trip, made all the better with a brilliant guide Nuya and her dog. From the moment we were picked up from our hotel and did the rounds picking up the other travellers, to arriving at the departure point where we first me Nuya, we felt comfortable and confident that we were going to have a good day. Although for January it was a very hot day with the humidity also quite high we were still looking forward to the trek. We were provided with additional water and briefed on the level of difficulty with an explanation that anyone who felt a bit wary of the climb could be driven by road to the next rendezvous point. The group consisted of myself and my wife from the UK, an Israeli lady, a South African couple, a Canadian, and 4 Americans two of whom opted for the transport. We were put through a little session to limber up ankles and knees etc, and set off up a very steep bit of road in about 32 degrees before turning onto what can best be described as a very steep path. It might only be about 2k but it felt like 10 in the heat with the little dog leading the way to sniff out snakes in the undergrowth. With some puffing and panting mainly because myself and Maria decided on a blistering pace up the hill leaving everyone else to catch up we arrived at the rest station fro refreshment and plenty of coconut milk and fruit, before completing the steep climb up the road to the Big Buddha. We had plenty of time to look around and see the monkeys and both Buddha's before driving off to the restaurant for a very nice meal with plenty of choice. Then driven back to our respective hotels. An amazing trip and well worth the effort. Would highly recommend this trek.

This was such a fun trek up the mountain to see the big Buddha! Our guide was incredibly friendly and kept everyone's spirits up throughout the long and hot hike. We had frequent stops, beautiful scenes along the way, and overall it was a fantastic day. Highly recommend - but do keep in mind that it is a hike! Wear light and comfortable clothes and good athletic shoes. Only issues: The little cafe we stopped at for a drink had clearly mistreated animals chained up outside. I realize it's a different culture, but it made a lot of us in the group feel very uncomfortable. For our lunch we were really disappointed that it was western food. We're in Thailand...expected to be shown some good Thai food.

What a fabulous tour. Our guide Nuya was amazing and knew everything about the local plants, history and culture. The walk through the jungle is tough, it's very steep and the weather is hot and humid, but there's lots of stops along the way to learn about the area, taste local fruits and catch your breath. The views from the top are stunning and worth the effort, and so is the celebratory coconut juice! The Big Buddha and the temple are beautiful and the lunch afterwards is delicious. We met some great new people and had a great day. Highly recommend this trip!

A lovely walk up to the Big Buddha with an informative Guide who talked about all the vegetation was we went along, with beautiful fruit treats for us along the way. This was followed by a visit to the beautiful Wat Chalong for a stroll around, and the day finished with a delicious lunch. Everything went smoothly, easily in a relaxed, friendly and informative environment. We thought it was a delightful day and highly recommend.

This tour was great for something a little different. The hike is up hill most of the way but plenty of chances to stop. Our English speaking tour guide was lovely and was easy to talk to. Lunch at the organic cafe was a nice way to end the tour. Would do it again for sure.

This was a great tour and experience and I would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Big Buddha. The tour guide, Nuya, was great and ensured that everyone on the trip and the best time possible. She and co-tour guide Boy gave information on jungle plants and points of interest on the way. Stops for fresh fruits including those some of us had never tried/heard of before and refreshments before reaching the totally amazing Big Buddha. Finally, transported to a great venue for a delicious lunch in a great restaurant before being returned to the hotel. I must also mention Nim who is also a great host, tour accompaniment and photographer! I really cannot recommend this trip highly enough for those thinking of booking. The trek isn't suitable for those with walking difficulties as it is via, mainly, dirt tracks through the jungle and uneven walking surfaces.

Great day out! The walk was a bit difficult as it was sloping uphill the entire way but lots of breaks were provided and you could stop at any time. It was very rewarding once you reached the top but we were thankful we didnt have to walk the way back. Lunch was delicious and overall the tour was very well organized.

This is an excellent trip which I would thoroughly recommend. The trek starts from the CC's Hideway hotel which is set in a beautiful location on the edge of the jungle. This was a great way to see the Big Buddha and our guide stopped regularly along the way to tell us about the plants and insects in the jungle. We were a group of about 10 of mixed age and fitness including my 2 children. The thing we didn't get from the pre-tour information was how strenuous this trek would be. It's quite steep at times over rough ground in a few places and that along with the heat and humidity made it more challenging than we expected. It's very rewarding though and we stopped regularly plus there was the option to be picked up along the way if needed which no one did. Our tour guide provided a delicious local fruit picnic along the way and we stopped near the top at a cafe with amazing views for some fresh coconut juice. The blessing by the Buddhist monk was a great experience at the Big Buddha and our guides took lots of photos of us which they then shared with us afterwards. Wat Chalong temple was also amazing and then we had a delicious lunch at We Cafe. It was about 5.5 hours in total from pick-up to drop-off and a day I would thoroughly recommend.

This was a fabulous experience, BUT it's important to note that this is a VERY strenuous hike. It's not that clear in the description. It's like 5 km straight uphill, very steep. I hike a lot and wasn't sure I was going to make it. I'm glad I did though! Totally worth it. Just a forewarning.

A very successful and satisfying trek with our lovely hosts Boy and Nim. Lots of breaks where Boy stopped and gave us information about the natural habitat. Some breathtaking views of the coastline. The lunch at We Cafe was delicious.

Great tour for adventurous people! Tour guide was lovely and very informative. The Jungle Trek is challenging but fun, views are amazing, we learnt about all different edible plants, and new fruits and met some amazing people on our group. The Big Budhha at the end of the Trek is breathtaking and being blessed by the monk at the end was an amazing experience. Also enjoyed some refreshing coconut milk whilst there. Stopped off at a Temple on the way home, which again was great to see and the food for lunch at the organic restaurant was very tasty! Couldn't praise this tour enough! One of our favourite excursions as it's different to a normal tour!

amazing tour and the lady Nuya was too good as a guide worth booking if you like walking but even if you can't walk up all the mountains they provide you with a car too excellent service nice refreshments and gorgeous food from the organic farm.

the treeking is tough path .only healthy persons can take this tour. but everything by our tour guide is fantastic .she kindly advices to stop the trek if the trekking is tough and take car for finished before the start of the tour .so there is option to cancel walking the tough way by taking the car and can reach the big buddha safely without any sweat.
• Submitted 18 Aug 2017
The guide was incredibly knowledgable and kind. We really enjoyed the information given as well as the hike rather than the normal drive up to big Buddha. Also the provide snacks of fruit along the way were really refreshing and then another stop to enjoy the view and drink coconut juice! However there were a few negatives. First, the cost of hotel pick up from patio get was 950baht but everyone on our shuttle had to pay it. So 7 people sharing a ride each paid that much. That is very expensive and had we all shared a taxi would have been cheaper for two taxis. Next, the trip should start an hour earlier to avoid hiking during the hottest and brightest part of the day. We arrived at the start point st 10:15am but didn't go hike until 11am. Another strange thing is that you pass by an elephant farm but are not allowed to stop and take photos but were actually rushed along. Maybe an issue with the mahmut not allowing it but stopping for 5 mins just to a take a photo seems it should be acceptable lastly, the final restaurant is said to be an organic farm that grows their food and serves it we cafe while this is true and the place is nice it is not Thai food. It wa Sheryl odd as I can eat steak or spaghetti anywhere in the world but when in Thailand I want authentic Thai food.

Nuuya was a great guide and she shared some of her own Buddhist knowledge and experience. The hike was really enjoyable and of course meeting and being blessed by a Buddhist monk was a memorable experience
