Explore China's bustling capital city, then jump aboard the Trans-Mongolian train for a momentous 6 day journey from Bejing to Moscow, across the Gobi Desert and vast plains of Mongolia and Siberia. A classic train ride crossing a third of the globe from one red city to another in one fell swoop.
Welcome to Beijing! Arrival transfer from Beijing airport to your hotel.
Optional Beijing Sightseeing
Spend the day at leisure, independently exploring the capital. Alternatively embark on an optional Beijing sightseeing tour which includes lunch.
The Beijing sightseeing tour takes you to Badaling, to walk (and almost a climb at times) a section of the Great Wall. Following a ridge of barren hills through northern China, the Great Wall stretches as far as the eye can see - at least 6,700 km. Back in Beijing, take a stroll across historical Tiananmen Square. A vision in grandeur with its imperial yellow roofs and vermilion walls, the Forbidden City is a city within a city, once forbidden to all except those on imperial business until 1911, when the last emperor Puyi was removed from power. Enjoy a guided tour through what was once the innermost sanctum of the city.
