My husband and I frequently go to NOLA for a short vacation and have done the typical ghost and vampire tours. However, this cooking class was the highlight of our recent vacation. Not only do you learn about cooking great NOLA traditions but the history that is told during the cooking presentation was fabulous! I loved the way that Pat would imitate the French with an accent. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought my husband may not enjoy a "cooking class" but he came away so enthusiastic about cooking. He is planning on making some great gumbo!!

This class was both informative and entertaining. Chef Maria talked about the history of New Orleans in relation to food and served up some mighty fine gumbo and jambalaya finished with a delicious praline. We also sampled some local beer. Strongly recommend this. Bon Appetite!
