We had no idea how interesting the history of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island was until we were told the story by our tour guide, Cody. He kept our kids (8 and 11) completely interested and engaged for over 3 hours teaching them about the design, architecture, funding, politics behind the building of the Statue of Liberty and all the history surrounding Ellis Island. He was extremely informative, personal and patient. The tour was very well timed and gave us enough time to learn about both with short ferry rides and giving us breaks to tour ourselves. Really enjoyed this. Definitely bring cash to tip your tour guide because if you get Cody, you will wish you had! Very well worth the spend for the tour and the tip!

Excellent tour and tour guide. A lot to see in the short time provided. Our Gide went out of her way to entertain us and inform us. To really see and appreciate theStatue museum more time was needed

We took the early tour to avoid the crowds. Met our guide Chris Triebel at Clinton Battery and we left right on time. Chris was a phenomenal guide who gave us so much history and information as well as answering any questions we had. He has a wonderful sense of humor and a was easy to understand. The size of the group was great. I would recommend this tour to any and all.

So glad I booked this tour - it was well organized and took the stress out of visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island- the weather was perfect and our tour guide - Sara - was amazing- bubbling with enthusiasm, passion for her city and a wealth of interesting and personal stories of her family’s move to New York- a don’t miss tour- have been to NYC 4 times now- didn’t realize what I had missed not going on this tour. Thanks Sara for a great experience.

Although I have seen both of these places many times, I had never been in either of them. Sara was a fantastic guide. Her enthusiasm and knowledge was incredible. Both sites were very interesting and I want to go back so that I can spend more time in both on a day that was not so cold and windy. I definitely recommend this as a must do if you go to NYC.

I've been to the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island several times over the 25 years I've lived in NYC but last week was the first time that I've gone with a tour guide. Owen, who is a theater director at Marymount College, was a fantastic guide and I learned a lot of little tidbits that were interesting and fun. I highly recommend him!

Don't let the long lines scare you away. This was a great way to tour both islands. we started at 9:30AM. Returned to the City at 3PM. Could have stayed longer to spend more time at the museum on Ellis Island which is where this tour ends. Our guide (an actress, of course) was excellent sharing some interesting facts and ushering us through all there is to see. Very meaningful for the 2 grownups in our group as all our grandparents arrived in America through Ellis Island. the teenagers enjoyed looking for family names on the wall honoring donors who contributed toward renovations on the islands. and the October weather was perfect!!

Our small group tour with Steven was outstanding. My daughter and I learned so much about the history of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Steve's stories really gave us a feel for the people who passed through these places on their way to America. Would highly recommend this tour. It could be even better (a 5+) if we had at least another 30 minutes on Liberty Island.

Ibeth was a great tour guide. She knew so much about the history, engaged the kids and made it all so interesting and fun. Our group loved her. Her passion for the history is clear, and she does a great job of sharing her knowledge in a powerful way. Her tips saved us time, made it easier on those in our group that could not handle a lot of walking, but allowed those that wanted to walk to be able to. Days later and my kids are still talking about Ibeth, all they learned and the fun time they had.

Our Guide EDDIE SCHNELLER (? spelling) was SUPER! He was informative, energetic and very FUN! My 13 year old grandson thoroughly enjoyed Eddie's humor as did the three adults! Pay him whatever he wants!

Took our 12 year old granddaughter. Guide (Tim) was excellent with lots of interesting historical information and anecdotes. Thrilling to see Statue of Liberty up close! Hallway of registration was beautiful, and stories of immigrants were moving.

We were very lucky to have been able to spend the day learning the history of Ms. Liberty with Jimmy. He was a walking encyclopedia and gave life to the history of the two islands. The tour was extremely well organized from the moment we stepped into Clinton Castle until we were dismissed. Jimmy knew the secrets to being the first on and off the boats do our time wasn’t wasted standing in line. Ask for him!!

We were scheduled for a small group tour of Ellis Island and Statute of Liberty, unfortunately we missed our scheduled tour time due to unforeseen reasons. We called and Phillip told us to stop by the office. We picked up our tickets and we were on our way. We caught the Ferry to the Statue of Liberty, did the audio tour and on to Ellis Island. It could have been a costly/disastrous experience, but it turned into a beautiful day!
