Stop At: Scooter Saigon Tour, 39, Street 9, Camellia Garden, Binh Hung Ward, Bình Hưng, Bình Chánh, Hồ Chí Minh 700000, Vietnam

Our talented guide with the motorbike picks you up at your hotel (or any location requested by you). After a short talk about the tour program and making sure you are ok on the motorbike, we weave around the main streets and narrow alleyways to see 7 districts, lots of must-see attractions, 11 markets, and many interesting things of the city.

Firstly, we stop at tourist attractions in District 1 including Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral and Saigon Central Post Office. Then we drive along Independence Palace, War Remnants Museum, Turtle Lake.

Head to Thich Quang Duc Memorial where you listen to the mysterious story about the unburned heart. Then we drive to Nguyen Thien Thuat apartment building since the 1960s to learn more about the real local life which is totally different from what you see in the city center.

After that, we drive to Ho Thi Ky - the biggest wholesale flower market and Cambodian market hidden in alleyways to see thousands of colorful flowers and many strange things.

We stop at an 80-year coffee shop hidden in an alley to learn how to make "Vot" coffee, interact with the nice owner, enjoy a drink and chat leisurely with your guides as friends.

Arriving in China Town in District 5, we visit Binh Tay Market, Thien Hau Temple and have a drive around brilliant gems including fashion street, painting street, medicine street, electronic market, fabric market, lantern market, fruit market, bird market.

On the way back, we show you stilt houses in slum areas along Saigon channels. The scene reflects a sharp contrast between the poor and the rich in the city. Ben Thanh market is the last attraction in the journey.

On the way, we have 3 food stops. At the first stop, we visit one of Saigon's best Banh mi shops, see how they make a great Vietnamese sandwich, buy one and eat it while sipping a drink at the coffee shop like locals. At the second food stop which is an over 30-year-old food stall selling Grilled banana in sticky rice and banana leaf. We eat crispy Vietnamese pancake and Rice noodles with grilled pork/fried roll at a 30-year-old restaurant. The guide not only tells you how to eat but also shows you how skillful chefs cook the foods.

The guide returns you to the hotel. It is time to say goodbye, tour ends but memories last forever.

This was the first thing we did when we arrived in Vietnam and it ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of the whole trip! Navie and Nga were the absolute sweetest, most knowledgeable, fun guides we could have hoped for! They showed us such an incredible time and my husband and I felt like we were with friends. We learned, laughed, ate so much good food, and saw Saigon through the eyes and scooters of two locals. I cannot recommend this tour enough. You will not regret it!! Thank you Navie and Nga for the beautiful memories ❤️

Wonderful way to start our time in Saigon. Our guides Trang and Nikki made as feel safe on the bikes at all times as we wound our way around the chaos that is the motorbike traffic of Saigon. Although not easy to do while driving, both ladies particularly Nikki chatted as we drove, giving some information on Saigon and the areas we were passing through. All of the street food we stopped for along the way was delicious and we were certainly full by the end of the morning! As an added bonus, we also had photos from the day emailed to us after the tour.

We chose this tour because of the flexibility of timings and small groups. We were met at our chosen place by Trang, Nicky, Nhu and Anh. The girls were fantastic and gave us a great insight into Ho Chi Minh city life. They were knowledgeable and fun, they took us to various sites as well as two local food places where we sampled excellent food with no tourists in site. The traffic is mad and very busy, but the girls drove with great confidence and we all felt really safe. They chatted endlessly along the way and weaved in out of small alleys, through the flower market, and we ended up shopping at the market where the girls waited so they could drop us back to our pick up point. We were visiting for the day whilst on a cruise and we would rate this tour as the best day of the 2 week holiday. Excellent all round thank you girls!

If you must do one tour in Ho Chi Minh, look no further. It's the best way to get a wholesome feel of the city as it is personalized to your needs whether it's particular street food or sight that you are looking for. Each person has their own tour guide and rides with them on the back of the scooter, which is truly the best way to experience the city like a local. I would recommend this tour to everyone who plans to visit Saigon.

Absolutely the best we did in Saigon. The private experience is way better than a big group in our case. The guides were a delight to talk to and learn about the experience of young people in Saigon. Just loved it,,!!!!!

Highly recommended. Our tour guides were the best! Felt like we had two friends taking us around Ho Chi Minh and showing us their favourite local places. Food stop was excellent, local coffee place was amazing and riding the streets felt safe. It started to rain the girls pulled over and gave us Macs. The tour guides really made this trip, it's a great way to see the city!

The tour was very well organised, interesting and fun. Pre-tour we had good communication with the office via email to book the time of the tour despite us booking just before departure from home. They initially proposed a morning tour as it was the wet season but as we did not arrive until the afternoon, they checked the forecast and gave us a 5pm departure. Perfect for dinner time. This was all organised while we were in transit. Our guides arrived right on time and were two young ladies who spoke good English and were very helpful and informative. They were skillful on their scooters and we felt safe despite the chaos of Ho Chi Minh city traffic. The food places visited were good and the guides made sure our wishes such as vegetarian food or not too spicy were catered for. Highly recommended. A tip for big headed travelers is to request a large helmet when booking. With much effort I squeezed the supplied helmet over my oversize noggin but it was uncomfortable.

We were picked up by Ms. Trang and Ms. Huyen at our hotel. Looking at their little motorcycles, it was a bit daunting to think we were going to ride around on the back through the insane traffic of Ho Chi Minh City. But I had complete trust in them and it turned out that riding in the streets and alleyways was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip, and we were never nervous about getting into an accident. We went to a huge outdoor market selling everything from fruit to live ducks and birds to pigs feet. Our guide walked us through and selected some fruit for us to taste later. We stopped at a noodle shop for an early lunch, where Trang I hope I'm getting her name right! carefully explained the ingredients. It was very good. Our tour was interrupted by a heavy downpour, and Trang offered to send us back to the hotel by taxi, and to continue the tour on another day, which we did. We went to a few sites including the Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Opera House and Independence Palace just quick looks at the latter three from outside. We were also taken to an old temple, and to a restaurant for a Vietnamese pancake, which was very good. Both Trang and Huyen were very friendly and knowledgeable. We felt very comfortable with them. They took pictures throughout the tour and sent them to us quickly. It was a fun way to get a look at everyday life in a Vietnamese city.

We had a great trip around the city, and really enjoyed our guides Trang and Suong. Knowledgeable and funny guides, showed us so many districts and we got behind the scenes to se how clay pot coffee is made. Fantastic all around.

Amazing - we were taken out by Hang and Loi who had exception knowledge of Ho Chi Minh City. We saw so much with them that we never would have seen before. Their driving and navigating through the thousands of mopeds was commendable and we felt safe the entire time. This trip was very good value for money and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting. We had alredy spent 4 days in the city before the tour, and couldn't believe how much more there was to see! Thank you for a very memorable evening!

A sensational experience. Very friendly, professional and attentive guides in Trang and Hana. Punctual in pick up and great choices in the food that we ate. Would not look elsewhere if you are choosing to tour around HCMC

Had an amazing experience with Hana and Hue. They picked us up as requested and gracious and charming while they wissed us around the city on scooters, seeing the sights and eating in various sites. We had a limited time as we were flying out that night and they even dropped us off at the airport. Strongly recommended

We walked off our cruise ship and there they were: Trang, Suong and Hang, full of smiles, motor scooters at the ready. After a brief discussion of what we had already seen in Saigon, we decided on an itinerary and were off, my husband, son 20 years old and myself. All three of our delightful drivers managed the intimidating Saigon traffic with ease while conversing with and explaining the passing streetscape to us. We, as passengers, soon learned to relax and leave the driving to these very capable young women, and focus on the amazing street tableaux we were passing through. One of our first stops was the oldest cafe in Saigon where we each got to sample Bahn My and the delicious local clay pot coffee. Then we actually got a behind the scenes tour and were able to help make the coffee! We went to a number of different markets that focused on various things: flowers, produce and seafood. Any food we expressed interest in trying was soon in our hands, peeled, or otherwise ready to sample. Our tour finished with a delicious lunch in a restaurant filled with locals, no tourists in sight but us! Would highly recommend our guides and this tour. Viator streamlined the booking for us, talking at least twice with the vendor to make sure we would be met at the cruise dock and that our timing needs would be honored. Could not be happier with the organization and the tour. A must if you are even slightly adventurous and a foodie!
