Le Pavillon

Now for something more romantic. Picture this – sipping on a glass of chilled wine with your loved one in a beautiful candle lit courtyard where tables sit clustered under orange trees. Sound nice? This amazing converted house serves up French cuisine in a romantic and cosy setting. Chose to sit under the trees or inside in a private alcove and enjoy the charming atmosphere. Tucked down an alleyway, Le Pavillon may be difficult to find, but that’s what makes it all the more special.


Don’t be fooled by the palatial 19th century exterior of Narwama, for inside you’ll find a trendy Thai restaurant with a Buddha bar vibe. Just a few minutes’ walk from Djemaa el Fna, this enormous candle-lit space has been outfitted with plush chairs, grand chandeliers and chill out music. Given its name, which translates are “fire and water”, the restaurant has a central fountain through which flames emerge in the middle o the restaurant. Take your pick of Thai, Moroccan and international cuisine and enjoy atmosphere.


A cafe by day and a restaurant by night, Kechmara is a chic establishment that combines food and drink with live music and art installations. Minimalist and smart, this place just exudes cool and is where you’ll find a fashionable and fun crowd. About a half an hour walk from Djemaa el Fna, this is a wonderful play to enjoy a meal or head up to the spacious rooftop bar with a cocktail to admire the view.
