How Group Touring Brings you Closer to Your Family (3 minute read)

Did you know that group tours are perfect for families? While travelling as part of a wider group might not initially be your first choice for your next family holiday, let me explain why you should reconsider…

If you’re anything like me, you’ll know that quality time together with kids can come at a premium, with work and after-school clubs often getting in the way. That means that when I’m on holiday with my family, I just want to be able to relax and enjoy their company. I don’t want to be worrying about what we’re going to do every day, which hotels we’re going to stay at, or about getting them from A to B. At the same time, I really want experiences that we’ll all remember for the rest of our lives. With group touring, your entire family can travel together to see amazing places on a truly unforgettable adventure, without you having to worry about making everything go smoothly. Family tour providers often pick their hotels with kids in mind too, so there’s usually a pool and a child-friendly environment to come home to at the end of a day exploring.

I think everyone would agree that travelling is the perfect way to open up the world. Exposure to different cultures, languages, and environments is really powerful and often reshapes the way we see the world around us. Group touring for families encapsulates all of this and is a great way to introduce your children to the different lives and cultures of people around the world, with activities designed with them in mind.

Outside of getting to know the local culture, you won’t be short of other ways to keep the kids entertained. Popular activities on family group tours include cycling, kayaking, meeting adorable Giant pandas (at a respectful distance) in China and even husky sled rides in Finland!

Add to the cultural experience and fascinating activities of a group tour the chance to meet other families just like you, and I think you’ve got a pretty compelling proposition. One of my favourite holiday memories was relaxing over dinner at a beautiful hotel in Vietnam, talking with other people at a similar stage in life while our children all got to know each other. We’ve stayed in touch ever since and I’ve genuinely made friends for life. Something I didn’t think was possible after 30!

So what do you say? Have I convinced you yet?!
