Beach was nice and the food was great. Nice and relaxing time away from all the vendors. The lemonada de coco was the best here. Fresh

A wonderful trip! We were picked up from our hotel in Bocagrande and rode in an nice air conditioned bus. We were taken a spot away from the crowd and got to spend a beautiful day on the beach. We enjoyed the fine sand, warm sun and beautiful clear blue Caribbean Sea. I highly recommend this trip! As always Viator provides excellent tour services!

My guide was Helder(I think) and driver was Louis. They were extremely great and helpful. The food was good and we went to a better part of the beach by a little speed boat nd walked back through a wooded area. If you have issues with walking, climbing or sight beware. The walk to the beach is a trek in uneven rocky terrain and the walk back is through the woods on very rocky, uneven, hilly terrain. You can’t take the boat back bc at the time of day the waters are too rough. I will say Louis helped me down to the back and they both helped me in and out if the boat. They were great.

This was an amazing tour. Everything ran smoothly from the pick up at our hotel to the commute to Baru Island. Hayzar our tour was the coolest. He provided us with ideas on what to do at Playa Bianca. He was one of the nicest people I ever met in Colombia. The food was out of this world. Freshly prepared and so delicious. We were greeted with a plate of fresh fruits too. Definitely worth the extra money we paid for the lunch option. Highly recommend this tour when visiting Colombia.

Great trip for value

The best excursion we took during our time in Cartagena! The transportation to and from our hotel went very smoothly. The tour bus showed up at the exact time that our contact said they would. Our guide, Hayzar, was one of the nicest people we met in Colombia. He gave great advice on how to make our day as memorable as possible, as well as what else we should do during the rest of our vacation. I would highly recommend this trip!

This was an absolutely amazing tour! The beach at Playa Blanca is so incredibly beautiful - nothing like the beach right in Cartagena. Our tour guide Natalia was a true ray of sunshine and she clearly loves her job. The food - I had the red snapper - was SUPERB! I consider myself a red snapper snob and it was truly perfection - right along with the coconut rice. I wish I could have stayed there for days! My friends and I did the 55 option with lunch - well worth every penny which really was not much. You should definitely choose this tour if you were planning to go to Playa Blanca - or even if you were not!

This day trip to Baru was so amazing that I could not help in going twice during my short stay in Cartagena:) After being picked up at my hotel, our guide Vanessa commented on all the sights we were driving by and providing us key facts of the Colombian economy and tourism. Upon arriving at Baru, a boat took us to a quiet and beautiful beach where we were welcomed with a fresh fruits salad and a bottle of water. Our guide gave us the local beach tips, would take care of our belongings and arrange whatever we needed (long chair, massage…) while we just had to relax, get some vitamin D ,enjoy the white sand and transparent water. The lunch was delicious, fresh grilled fish or chicken, your choice! On our way back, she made our journey very interactive with a game about the knowledge shared in the morning. It was a great day, sunny and warm people in a paradise beach.

The tour guide Vanessa was AMAZING! Pick up was right on time at our Airbnb, the hour ride was air conditioned and included detailed explanations of important sites on the way. The beach was simply beautiful and lunch was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this day trip!

This tour was amazing! We started early in the morning being picked up in our hotel. The guide was very well informed about the history and highlights of Cartagena and she was happy to answer any questions we asked her. Once we arrived to Baru, we had a lovely fresh fruit salad! Then the lunch was super fresh and tasty. I do recommend this tour if you are looking for a beautiful beach and a bit of history about Cartagena. Sandra C

The beach was beautiful and our guide Natalia was very nice. We learned a lot about the history as we drove to Baru. Once we got there we took a quick boat ride to a quieter area of the beach. The beach is located in a poor area but it's all part of the experience. I would recommend it!

Vanessa our tour guide was phenomenal. We were taken to another area away from the general public which is definitely well worth it. The lunch that was provided was delicious. You have a choice of red snapper and chicken. Must do while in Cartagena.

I probably don't have much to add that others haven't said, but the trip to Playa Blanca was one of the best days of the Cartagena trip, to be sure. Certainly a nice change of pace from sweating my way through the Centro. Others may have a different experience depending on the size of the group, but I was traveling solo, so I was kind of expected to be tagging along with some others. As it turned out, I was the group that day. What could have been a bit awkward ended up being pretty mellow and memorable, however, largely owing to the quality of the guide. Instead of a tour bus, Vanesa, the guide, just walked up to me by the monument and we hopped in a private car. From there it was about an hour to beach, where she shared a bit about some of the different neighborhoods and industrial areas. The beach and the water were fantastic, clear enough to the see the fish swimming between your legs. As other reviews have said, the tour takes you quite a ways up the beach from the busy area, so it's quite relaxing. Very few vendors. This was the appeal for me. From where you park it's maybe a 10 minute walk, not too bad, but I was also offered a boat ride if I didn't want to walk. Apart from the beach, Vanesa was awesome. I really enjoyed chatting with her and learning a bit about a whole range of subjects. I just hope she got her shoes back.

This day trip was great! I was actually the only person on the tour, but that was more than OK. I spent a lot of time talking to Vanesa, the guide, and really enjoyed myself. The beach was GORGEOUS -- the water was very calm and warm. There were some touts, but not an annoying amount. Vanesa was very friendly and EXTREMELY helpful. I actually had a bit of an accident before this day trip and she helped sort out a doctor for me to see after the day trip, for which I am so grateful. I had a great time on this day -- the beach, the food, the guide were all excellent. I would highly recommend this day trip. Thanks!

Fantastic tour and best possible way to spend the last day of our trip to Colombia. The tour was informative and the beach was amazing. The guide takes you a little further down the beach so be prepared for a bit of a walk, but its definitely worth it as the area you end up is much less crowded. Lunch was DELICIOUS I had the chicken and my husband had the fish.Absolutely recommend!

AMAZING ! I really like the tour . Our guide Vanessa was very lovely and knowledgable about Cartagena . She always cared of us and gave us good recommendations. The lunch was fantastic , the best fish I have eaten in my life . The beach is private and the vendors were quite respectful .

We had a great experience on this tour. The pick-up at the monument next the the clock tower was on-time. Then, the guide spoke about Cartagena as we drove about an hour to the beach. She was knowledgeable and spoke in both Spanish and English impressively changing between the two effortlessly. Once at the beach, we took a speedboat to a quieter location and set-up shop there. The cocktails were really expensive but the beer was cheap. The included lunch chicken or a whole fish was delicious. Overall a really nice day for a good price.

This tour to Playa Blanca was definitely the best part about our trip to Cartagena. I especially enjoyed the bus ride to Baru. Vanessa, our tour guide, was so sweet and knowledgeable. As we were traveling I learned so many interesting facts about the city and the different neighborhoods in Cartagena. Once we got to Playa Blanca, we took a quick boat ride further down the beach so we bypassed the crowded areas. The beach itself was beautiful with crystal clear water and barely any waves, perfection! There was a small hut/bar where we settled so we were able to buy drinks/ water, the mojito is a must! The lunch provided for us from a nearby restaurant was delicious and flavorful. I recommend bringing cash in order to buy drinks and souvenirs from beach vendors. Overall, an excellent customized experience, our group had a lot of fun. Playa Blanca is a must-see if you visit Cartagena!

Lovely day out! Guide was very friendly and gave a short overview of the city and history whilst driving which was very interesting and broke up the drive nicely. The beach was amazing, beautiful clear water and the section of the beach used was very quiet and picturesque!

GREAT tour!!! I am so sunburned and can barely walk from the jet ski, but it was an incredible experience. Definitely bring extra cash 150,000 pesos is a good start so you can enjoy everything fully!
