Stop At: Chateau de Chambord, le Chateau, 41250, Chambord France

From Paris, you’ll head first to Château de Chambord. Disney fans will find this castle’s turrets familiar; it was the inspiration for the castle in ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Though originally conceived as a royal hunting lodge, it was built to a scale that must be seen to be believed. You’ll learn all about the castle’s captivating history from your guide, before getting your own chance to explore. Climb a staircase supposedly designed by Da Vinci; enjoy spectacular turret-framed rooftop views; glimpse wild deer around the grounds; and work up an appetite for the next stop.

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Stop At: Chateau de Nitray, Athee -Sur -cher, Athee-sur-Cher France

A guided wine tasting and traditional three-course meal await you at Château de Nitray. The family that owns this charming 15th-century castle will proudly present their wines and rural French dishes, before granting you the freedom of the estate for a while. The meal includes unlimited wine, but don’t over-indulge: you’ll want your senses sharp for the sights to come.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Chateau de Chenonceau, 37150 Chenonceaux France

Last but not least is a visit to the elegant Château de Chenonceau. The chapel, bedrooms and magnificent vaulted kitchens are still furnished and decorated from times gone by, showing off the castle’s many sweeping stone carvings. Don’t miss the impressive main hall, which spans the river Cher, or the gardens cultivated by Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici – two of the famous owners that earned Chenonceau the nickname ‘the Ladies’ Château’. After a guided tour, you’ll have a choice: continue exploring, or indulge in a second wine tasting in the castle’s vaulted wine cellar.

Three uniquely beautiful castles, good food and wine, all amid the scenery of the Loire Valley: this tour is a feast for the senses.

My husband and I did this tour at the end of October. It rained pretty much all day which was a bummer, but what can you do. We went to Chambord, then lunch and wine at Chateau de Nitray, then Chenonceaux, where there was another wine tasting before entering the Chateau. I will say that there was a LOT of driving on this tour. With evening rush hour traffic, it took us 3.5 hours to get back to Paris. When we arrived at both chateaus, we had free time the whole time to explore.

We had the pleasure of having Sensie as a guide. You spend about 45 minutes at each castle and we found each site to be both majestic and beautiful. There is a lot of driving to get there and back, about a 3 hour ride, and there is a stop for lunch at a mini-castle with excellent sparkling wines. I recommend buying a bottle for only 6 euros. It is better than some Champagne we bought for 5 times that. I highly recommend this trip as a part of your stay in Paris.

Absolutely loved this tour Marianne our guide was Awesome! She really made the tour interactive and was extremely informative and helpful especially afterwards in making sure everyone knew how to get back home safe. Just Fyi there is a restaurant near by called Indiana avoid this place not nice to American tourist!

This tour was so amazing! The 2 guides we had, Michelle and Sinse, were very knowledgeable of the histories of the places we went to. Although the weather was not very nice in Chambord, we still enjoyed this beautiful hunting lodge. Enough time was provided to get an overview of this place. The weather improved when we were in Nitray and Cenonceau. The lunch with wine tasting in Nitray was delicious and the owner is very accommodating. The last castle, Chenonceau, was very charming. My wife wanted to live in it. The place is just beautiful. The wine tasting on the side inside a cave is also very much a welcome treat. Overall, we very much enjoyed this and a can't miss if you have enough time to visit France. Together with Alsace 4 Wonders Tour, I can say this is one of the top 3 of our trip.

This was the perfect day trip from Paris. The guides/hosts (Brad and Adi) were great and so knowledgable about the history of the Loire Valley and each of the chateaus. The schedule was well planned and executed and the lunch/wine tasting at Chateau Nitrey was amazing. We were lucky to have good weather and it does involve a lot of walking. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent tour. It was well organized and ran very smoothly. We enjoyed the chateaus and the lunch was the highlight of the day.

This was a fun day from Paris. The guides were great. I talked to Addie a lot and she was so sweet. The castles were amazing and our lunch was hosted by a count. It is a long bus ride but worth it. The only thing was that there was no wifi or charges on the bus.

This was a wonderful experience! Addi and Brad were great tour guides! Seeing the chateaux was great, but the icing on the cake was lunch and wine tasting. Thanks to Addi and Brad for a wonderful day!

This tour was one of the highlights of our 10-day European trip. Our tour was through City Wonders and our guide, Michelle, was knowledgeable, fun, and professional. We enjoyed our lunch and wine tasting at Chateaux Nitray with Francois. We were traveling with our teenage sons and they loved the tour too. Chambord is amazing! This was well worth our investment. We made memories for a lifetime.

Well paced tour with good mix of information, attractions and a fabulous lunch. Tour guides were young and dynamic.

This was a highlight of our trip. While the drive was long, it was well worth it. The castles were absolutely beautiful. Granted the time is short because of the distance but it was plenty of time to admire the places and realize you want to return and drive by car to enjoy more. The lunch stop was fabulous and entertaining. The owner was very hospitable, the food was terrific and plenty of excellent wine to share. I highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed the long day. I think that the times at the chateaus were a bit rushed especially, if you wanted to do some wine tastings and make a purchase. Also, we were told that we were allowed to bring 4 bottles of wine back to the U.S. The limit is 2. However, we had over 2 and were prepared to pay in customs, but it wasn’t a problem. Bring bubble wrap to bring the wine home!

My two adult daughters and I visited Paris in mid-June. We were looking for a day trip to experience more of the area outside the city, and chose the Loire Valley Castles Tour. We all loved it! This was a full-day experience, and was definitely worth the price. We all felt like we got to see a nice variety of castles, with two opportunities for a wine-tasting. At Chambord we were able to walk around the castle and the grounds. Our second stop at Nitray Vineyards was a highlight, with a wonderful roast chicken dinner with a variety of wines and a lovely dessert. One of my daughters is a vegetarian, and she had plenty to eat with the potatoes, salad, tomatoes, bread and cheese. Our third stop was at the beautiful Chenonceau Castle, where we had a second optional wine-tasting in a 600-year-old wine cellar. We would have liked to have had more time at each stop, but we understand that there is a time limit based on the driving distance, and unfortunately one couple on our tour was consistently 10 minutes late meeting back at the bus after each stop. While these things are unavoidable when touring with a group, our tour guides did their best to keep everyone on time. The bus was very comfortable, with a restroom on board, although we also stopped at a halfway point both in the morning and on the return trip. This tour of wine country was definitely a highlight of our trip to Paris!

The tour was very well organized, with plenty of time for us to explore the châteaux and take lots of pictures, and our tour guide, Isabella, kept us entertained during the bus rides with interesting stories from French history. The lunch at the Château de Nitray was delicious, simple but very flavorful, and the wine is extremely cheap if you want to buy a few bottles. A great tour to see a different side of France!

This tour was amazing! The castles were like a fairytale and the vineyard was FANTASTIC! Our tour guides were very knowledgeable not only about the castles and vineyard, but about the French history. This was our favorite thing to do while we were in Paris for 8 days.

Our tour guide, Renée, was fantastic. Engaging stories with very knowledgeable staff. The vineyard we had lunch at was lovely and the winemakers were welcoming and entertaining. Would recommend this tour to history buffs and wine lovers.

Our guides Hugo and Michelle were fantastic! We really enjoyed a long but very nice day trip from Paris. The area is beautiful and the 3 stops were definitely worth it. The lovely lunch at a working winery was delicious and plentiful. The Chenonceau was my favorite castle! I would highly recommend this trip.

If only days were longer so we could have spent more time at Chenonceau. The guides were extremely thoughtful.

The tour guides were knowledgeable and very pleasant. The meeting spot, however, was not clear. Everything else was great.

Wonderful tour of the Loire Valley, with castles, wine etc. The guides were at the exact place at the exact time and they even waited a few minutes for people running late. Brad and Diane joined us on the bus and they were extremely nice, knowledgeable and entertaining for the entire day. We explored two castles and attended 2 wine tastings. This is an entire day tour but you will leave very satisfied, Highly recommended.

Antolin and Bart really knew their stuff. The wine tasting was fun and we even brought a few bottles home

This experience was so spectacular and educational. We absolutely loved Renee and Antoil our tour guides who shared history during the bus tour and at the Chateaux's. Dinner was amazing and the wine fantastic. I would recommend this tour to anyone! Jennifer L Yealy
