We did not have a lot of time in Rome, so this was the best way for us to see the most important sites. Our tour guides were informative, friendly, and helpful. This was a very positive experience. It is a long day of walking on uneven cobblestone at Palatine Hill. I noticed some of the older people in our group were struggling, it may be worth looking at other tour options if you have mobility issues.

We only had 2 days in Rome, so we really needed a tour that would allow us to see a lot of things in a short amount of time. This tour did just that. We were able to see the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Roman Forum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica all in the course of about 7 hours (including an hour break for lunch). Even though we visited in October, which is considered to be on the edge of low season in Italy, there were still quite a lot of people at all of the main sites. Despite this, we were able to skip most lines and that made it completely worth it for us. We entered the Vatican Museums close to 3 o'clock and, even with stops to discuss exhibits and to enjoy the Sistine Chapel, we still made it to St. Peter's Basilica more than half an hour before some other members of our party who did not go on the tour and stood in lines instead. In the areas where we did need to wait (due to maximum capacity limits at the tour sites), the tour guides took the opportunity to show us pictures and provide explanations of what we would be seeing. These "lessons" were very interesting and informative and left us feeling like we weren't actually waiting in line at all. There are several ways to get transportation between the Colosseum area and Vatican city. Public transportation is easy to use and will get you to the next location in enough time to have a quick lunch. We decided to take a taxi over to the Vatican in order to allow for a leisurely lunch nearby and that was worth it for us. At the meeting points there are plenty of tour personnel to help you figure out where you need to be. We had not done a tour with the radios and headphones before and I have to say that it was perfect for this experience. As you can imagine, in these large crowds it is easy to fall behind where your guide is, but with the headset in you can hear all of the information and take your time appreciating the site without feeling rushed to keep up.

Doing both tours in one day was great. We enjoyed our tour guide at the Vatican he was so nice, well informed and would take pictures at all the key spots. Skipping the line was so worth it as both locations had lengthy lines.

What incredible sites and the history of Rome. Our Guide was very knowledgeable and complete with all of the data and stories of ancient times. We are already planning a return trip. We spent 9 days in Italy and what a special place and the people were very helpful and friendly. If there were 6 stars this excursion is at the top of our list. Thanks to tour people for putting on a great show.

Both tours were wonderful. Both tour guides were great. Igor our tour guide for the Colosseum was especially good. He went out of his way to explain everything. He was the best tour guide we have had.

Enjoyed this tour very much. Amazing tour. Definitely worth seeing when coming to Rome. No issues :)

Vatican was very crowded, but our guide did well explaining historical significance. Would never attempt this during heat of summer. It was warm, but bearable in October. The Colosseum tour was superb!

We wanted to fit in the 2 most important attractions in Rome in one day given the limited time we had. It’s only fair to review the 2 separately since it’s really 2 tours. Vatican/St Peter: Check in was smooth. Skip-the-line entry saved us precious time. Nadia was our guide, she spoke clearly and showed lots of enthusiasm. There was a lot of ground to cover in 3 hours and it wasn’t easy when thousands of tourists all showed up at the same time. Given the confines of the spaces and the number of tourists it was impossible to see things in detail. Nadia tried her best. Colosseum/Roman Forum Renata was our guide. Given it was open-air museum it didn’t feel as nearly suffocating and we were able to details of Roman architecture. Renata was not only full of knowledge and she was generous with sharing them. The temperature cooled down a lot towards the end of the afternoon and it made strolling in the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this tour. The tour operator is highly experienced and made the whole experience very seamless.

We were thrilled to have early access to the Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel as well as St. Peter's Basilica, but our experience was elevated that much more by our guide, Eddy, from City Wonders. He is extremely knowledgeable, operates with a sense of humor and his personality comes through in spades. Although some in the group were not as into the history and artwork displayed, he was able to maintain their attention and keep the group going. One thing to be aware of, there is no transportation between the Vatican and the Colosseum, so you will have to find your own way, but we had no issue walking back to our hotel and then to the Colosseum. There, our guide was extremely knowledgeable however you could tell it was a long day for her as well as the group, as things started to fade in the afternoon heat. Bring sunscreen and a hat, and possibly a parasol, but mind your belongings. There are a number of pushy individuals who crowd around the Colosseum, and we could tell that some individuals were sizing us up to see if we would be a good mark. If you are wearing a watch, be sure to avoid the men trying to give you a bracelet. I realized what was happening and had to be quite forceful telling the person to go away, but another person nearby was not so lucky and lost his brand new Apple Watch.

Excellent tour provided by a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic guide Eddy with a Y :-) who made our tour not only memorable and enjoyable but he looked after the whole group the best who could and made sure we all had an excellent experience

It has been awhile and I don't remember tour leader names (Vatican was Basco? Younger guy..and Colosseum was a lady with green tinted hair). In any event both tour leaders were excellent - could not have asked for better insights and knowledge into both areas we toured. Both explained what we were seeing plainly and and again, with knowledge of subject material. Very thankful we took these tours!!
