“
very knowledgable guide who did her utmost best during three hours to give us all the facts and figures about the castle: from history to small, but picturesque details about the eating habits in those days.”
Petra T • Submitted 17 Sep 2017

“
Great, informative and comprehensive tour of the cathedral, palace and armoury. Our guide was fantastic and we would highly recommend her - she was patient and addressed questions thoroughly, and even extended the tour so we could cover everything. We would have found it impossible to cover as much as we did on our own and we also learned an incredible amount about the history of Krakow and Poland.”

“
The guide was very knowledgable and quite humorous.the group was quite small so we could all hear and see everything he was talking about.”

“
Excellent tour. Very informative and interesting. Tour leader was very prepared and made this 2hr tour quite fun. The tapestry exhibits were marvellous.”

“
The castle was very good but it was our guide who made the visit excellent - she was very interesting and provided lots of information over and above the basics.
It would have been nice if you could take pictures inside the buildings.”

“
A great tour and the most amazing tapestries, probably the best in the World. Packed with historic furnishings.”

“
Informative tour”

“
We had attended holy Mass in the Cathedral on Sunday. but that did not provide an opportunity to tour the various chapels etc. Also, since Sunday is so crowded we chose to come back for the castle tour on Thursday. It was wonderful. The Polish history is complex and covers so many centuries. A walk through the apartments of the castle would NEVER provide the rich detail the guide provided...along with anecdotes about the furnishings etc. I loved it. She was a TOP NOTCH professional guide. We had a very nice day there...and there is a restaurant at the bottom of the hill with amazing pastry and coffee we stopped there both times. I cant imagine now appreciating the castle without our wonderful tour and guide. well worth the money!”

“
The tour was very informative and the staff was super friendly. Our tour guide was loud, clear, and full of detailed history on the castle. Its a beautiful castle, with several different rooms to see and detailed to admire.”

“
Nice place to visit. Head sets would be a nice addition. Had a little trouble with the accent from a distance.”
Jane E • Submitted 21 Oct 2016

“
It was ok but not very informative. The guide did not wait for the group and was talkings to the people who were at the front of the group.”

“
The guide seemed to rush us through the rooms we visited, there was a lot of tapestries and other artefacts in the rooms but the guide never gave us much time to look at them and appreciate the wonder of them. The castle is an amazing place just wish that the guide was slower going through the rooms”
Dawn W • Submitted 07 Oct 2019

“
Awesome tour, we were pretty rushed though, and even lost the tour guide a couple of times. I was with my 80 year old father, who can generally keep up. We were walking up and down a lot of stairs and on uneven ground, the pace was a bit unreasonable. Besides that, I would still recommend going.”
Bre W • Submitted 06 Feb 2018

“
The tour itself was interesting but the tour guy spoke quickly and not directly to the group so it wasn't the best tour we had on our trip.”
Barbara K • Submitted 07 Sep 2016

“
Not much to see. All of the furnishings are not original. The Nazis plundered most of the original paintings, etc.”
Donald N • Submitted 17 Aug 2016

“
The first guide that brought us in was a different person to the one taking us round the castle. The first guide was grumpy, did not apologise for being late and gave me slight problems when I printed the confirmation email from her company instead of the viator voucher by accident. The second guide who walked us through was much better but the group was too big and hence too hard to control and we ended up having a family of 6 being gatecrashers on top of a group of about 30 as there was no control and nothing to mark us as being tour participants.”
Peko Peko • Submitted 17 Aug 2016

“
Met by churlish, uncommunicative and slightly late representative who took us to meet guide at castle with no explanation and no awareness of older people or person with walking stick. Tour guide pleasant but rushing, speaking so fast it was difficult to hear or understand.”

“
I had purchased a Senior Citizen ticket for my mum. Before we embarked on the tour, the lady from the tour operator Discover Krakov asked me for proof of my mum's age. I told her I had left the passport in the hotel, which was 5 minutes away and I could get it at the end. She said it was alright. 15 minutes later when we walked up the hill to the castle to begin the tour, she asked for ID again, as if she expected it to suddenly appear and then charged full price for my mum who was clearly over 65. It is true that I should have brought my mum's passport but if the agent form Discover Krakov had told me to get them when we were first waiting I could have done so. This spoilt the tour somewhat for both mum and I. I have no complaints with the actual Tour Guide he was friendly, knowledgeable and allowed my mum to access the lifts of the castle as she would have had difficulties with all the stairs.”
