On this small-group gourmet tour of Lisbon, wind your way through the city’s beautiful streets and get a taste for the local cuisine with stops at traditional restaurants and bars, sampling delicacies like petiscos. Find out about Lisbon’s great cafés, such as the 18th-century Café Nicola — one of Lisbon’s most literary cafés and a place for tertúlias — and discover why Pastelaria Suiça is another landmark of Rossio.

Try the famous Portuguese Codfish Cake with a glass of refreshing Green Wine, and learn about the Bairro Alto quarter. In the 20th century, the Bairro Alto became Lisbon’s bohemian quarter and the center for nightlife, full of bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Stop at an atmospheric wine bar in the Bairro Alto for tapas and a glass of local white wine. Visit one of the most famous restaurants in Lisbon, Cervejaria da Trindade (brewery), famous for its seafood and steaks.

Then it’s on to the steps of Calçada do Duque, two areas with a great variety of restaurants and nice views of the city. Learn the secrets of success at Manteigaria Silva, open since 1908, and see the delicious products on display, such as sausages, hams, and cheeses. Here, learn the history of Port, Portugal’s famous fortified wine, as you try it with a piece of delicious São Jorge cheese. Later, compare your Port with a typical Portuguese cherry brandy at A Ginjinha, and try a bacalhau fish cake at Tendinha.

Continue to Portas de Santo Antão Street, one of the city’s main entrances, the Gates of Santo Antão. Finish your gourmet tour with a light meal (bread, cheese, sausage, and other local products) and a glass of Alentejo wine at the Neo-Moorish Casa do Alentejo, a 17th-century palace with one of the most intriguing interiors in the city.

The tour guide was very good. He took us to a number of places close to the city center, but each was different and unique. He was very good at describing aspects of Portuguese food and wine. It's a good value tour with not too much walking. The guide was also very helpful in assisting us to plan the rest of our visit.

Great introduction to Lisbon. We visited a neihborhood around Rossio Square and tasted a nice variety of Portugese foods and drinks. Helder was a very knowledgeable guide and did a great job of explaining the food and culture.

Awesome tour with Noemia!! She was excellent in her knowledge of Lisbon and the places we stopped were great! We highly recommend her.

Our guide was charming, knowledgeable and fun. All of the sites we visited were well worth the stop and places we weren't likely to visit on our own (although we did revisit a couple of them during our stay in Lisbon). The food and drink were plentiful and the group was a lot of fun I would definitively recommend this tour to Lisbon visitors.

this is by far our best activity from our trip in Lisboa. Our guide very so nice and warm. At first we could not locate the meeting place because they was multiple activities happening on the same site so we directed ourself to one of the information point and we were able to call her. She asked her to describe our clothing and from there she came to find us. As soon as she saw us, she hugged us and welcomed us in a very charming way. from then we started the activity, the group was also charmant. Overall I will give it a 11 over 10! Thanks a lot

We had just arrived in Lisbon and were somewhat jet lagged which we soon overcame with this tour. We were greeted by Tiago to begin a wonderful evening exploring some of the food and wine that Portugal has to offer. There was lots of variety and as an added bonus we went to a couple of restaurants that we re-visited during our stay. Tiago was an enthusiastic guide who provided us with some history and valuable tips for our stay in Portugal. I would highly recommend this tour to all.

This tour was excellent food, wine and tour guide. The bifana sandwich, the codfish pastel (fritter) and the plate with the chorizo, pickled carrots, eggs and bacalao at the palace were excellently paired with the wines. The ginja was a special delicious treat.

We had such a fun evening with Ines (our guide) and the rest of our group. She planned a great itinerary, taking us to many wonderful places that we would not have otherwise found, and was very knowledgeable on Portuguese food/drink/culture and beyond! Would definitely recommend!

Arrived in Lisbon, checked into hotel and then took this 3 hour, late afternoon food tour near Rossio which was the perfect introduction to Lisbon food culture. Luis, our guide added insightful commentary which heightened the experience. For the price you can't go wrong with one...

First night in Lisbon we took this tour. Daniella was a superb hostess. The group had so much fun they didn’t want the night to end. Most stayed at the last location to continue the party. It was a great introduction to the food scene in Lisbon and the wine of Portugal. Wear good walking shoes because you cover a lot of the city.

Our guide, Magdalena, made the trip an exceptional pleasure. The food and wine-drinks were plentiful and the small group approach a great thing for tourists in a new city. I would recommend this adventure to all those who have time to wander around and sample delicious small treats.

We had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was a charming woman named Raquel. This company had a total of 3 different tour groups leaving from the same area at the same time, but was organized and left pretty timely fashion. We did not run into any of the other groups so no stop was crowded. The places were definitely not ones you would discover on your own! but all had delicious food and drink, (with an alternative offered at some stops.). Raquel gave historical significance of at least 2 of our stops, as well as interesting facts on many buildings and churches we passed by. This was a great tour, we were super satisfied with the experience!

Fantastic food and wine tour in the heart of Lisbon! Our guide, Magdalena was fun, knowledgeable and professional. We ate and drank to our hearts content while touring medieval Lisbon. Great group, awesome guide, superb food and wine!

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience with and fun and knowledgeable Madalena. Our group was divided into two smaller groups so we all quickly became friends - it truly felt like a movable party. Food and beverages were fun to try - generous portions, too! We also appreciated hearing some history along the way. This tour was more than just food and wine. So glad we did this!

A must if you have a few days in Lisbon. You get to sample the local delicacies of cheese and quince paste, Codfish cakes, spicey pork rolls, smoked bbq sausage, ham and cheese washed down with vino verde, ginja, port, beer and wine. Lots of fun, good value and great tour guide,Ines. Best to do it later in the day! 🍷🍷

Great experience and delicious food. Our tour guide answered all our questions and could recommend some spots for us. I'd highly recommend this tour for friends who are new to Lisbon as it's a very handy way of finding your way around the beautiful old city.

Our guide Catarina was very patient; over half of the group (including myself) was late! But the late start was the only hiccup... our tour was delicious, insightful, and visually beautiful. A good guide loves their city, and Catarina is a great guide! She showed us some nooks we never would have noticed, and she even brought a local spirit to try, separate of any scheduled stop! The stops were wonderful, though be prepared for close quarters in some of these small old shops. That's where they hide the flavor! The word "tasting" in the title is misleading as you will receive large portions everywhere! Do not eat lunch before your tour. 😁 Enjoy friends!
