This tour was chosen largely because we wanted to experience the countryside out of Madrid and also see a Spanish wine producing area. We are from a great wine producing country - Australia and have friends who own wineries on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria Australia. Our expectations of the tour and what we experienced were vastly different. This tour consisted of visiting 3 vastly different wineries - the age of the winery, size of production, markets and objectives. That was fantastic in itself. Good explanations of the wine we tasted were given. Our guide was from the region and that was very useful. I would recommend this tour- it highlighted the differences between production and marketing of wines in the 2 countries and it was a great tour.

We came on our honeymoon and thought that taking an all day trip out to Ribera del Duero may be too much. But it was perfect. It was a small group and the driver was very experienced in the wine industry and the 3 wineries we were taken to treated us like royalty. To boot we got a real treat as we are from south Florida and it began to snow. It was the perfect day! Highly recommend this tour.

We decided that do a vineyard tour in Ribera del Duero region and the experience exceeded our expectations. We visited three bodegas/vineyards: Dominio de Cair, Val Soltillo and Legaris. The wine was exquisite: rosé and/or white and red. The local tour was done by Gourmet Madrid and the tour guide—Jorge— was great and knowlegeable. We were able to buy wine and ship it home. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Jorge from Gourmet Madrid.

An amazingly sophisticated visit to several vineyards and wine making facilities. The tour guide was an expert with family in the industry. Private and professional. Worth visiting these select vineyards.

This was a fantastic wine tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable. We went to 3 wineries and one of them had underground tunnels with wine storage. I would recommend this trip to everyone. My only suggestion would be for the guide who met us in Madrid to carry a sign for the tour. We had a hard time locating him.

Very informative guide. Lively experience and small group experience was wonderful. Although we paid for lunch, guide made sure we experienced authentic Castillian cuisine. Although I had a cane and had to walk carefully over uneven surfaces slowly, guide was quite helpful and made sure I was safe and helped me navigate stairs w/o railings. All in all, an excellent tour.

Our tour with Jorge was amazing. Getting to tour modern and older traditional wineries made for a diverse experience and an authentic learning experience. We really enjoyed our lunch with Jorge and the others on the tour and our stop in Segovia was short, but allowed us to see the aqueduct and other sights in town. Jorge is personable and knowledgeable, and we really enjoyed spending the day with him.

Traveling from an authentic Spanish wine cellar to a modern day winery, this tour was able to give a complete experience of wine making in Spain. The small group group of 4 allowed for personalization and really getting to know the people who devote their lives to their love, which is of course wine. You could clearly sense the tour guide's passion for wine making and his knowledge base and personal stories only added to our experience. The panoramic tour in Segovia was a beautifully added feature. It is a small town, but rich in history and culture with cobblestone streets and aqueducts. I will remember this day not only for the delicious wine, appetizing food, and beautiful scenery, but for the people that we met and time spent with them. If you don't want to stick out like a sore thumb, don't wear open toed shoes, even if it's hot!! They'll get you for that!

3 different wineries, very nice tour and experience Last stop at Segovia is sort of quick for the kind of place that it is but it allows to see the most important attractions

The Tour was excellent and Enrique the tour guide was the best. He knows a lot of the wine industrie and if it wasn't for him the tour wouldn't be the same.
• Submitted 17 Jul 2017
Enrique was a great guide and the Ribera Del Duero region has lots of history and some excellent value wine!
• Submitted 15 Jul 2017
Just myself and a couple in the tour, so it was almost a private tour! Informative and very interesting, we visited 3 completely different wineries in the region. Jorge is a great guide - knowledgeable, entertaining, and personable. Wine noob or geek, I'd definitely recommend this tour.

Really had a great time. Tour guide, Enrique, was awesome. Trained as a wine maker, he was able to provide unique insight into the wines of Ribera del Duero. We visited three wineries each visit with a different emphasis. Tasted about 10 different wines from regular table wines...all very good to Reserva's some of which were exceptional. Dominio de Cair and Bodegas Ismael Arroyo were standouts. A stop in Segovia on the way back was good but short...will have to make another visit during our next trip.

Jorge was a great guide for our day in Ribera del Duero, full of knowlege and enthusiasm. His choice of wineries was excellent, two modern and one traditional, each gave us a great experience. We came back to Madrid via the historic city of Segovia

This tour was incredible. Best day ever! Enrique was so knowledgeable about wines and winemaking! We thoroughly enjoyed each moment of the day! The tour of the wine caves was our favorite - what a once in a lifetime experience. A must tour to all who enjoy wine - and Enrique was just the best!

We really enjoyed this wine tour. We toured 2 beautiful wineries and 1 wine shop which also boasted a medieval underground cellar. The local village where we ate lunch was lively and friendly. Our tour guide, Jorge, was very knowledgeable about the area and the wines which provided some wonderful commentary throughout the tour. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking for some real history and to learn more about the wine making process.

Great experience! Execellent tour explanation and service. Though we are not familiar with wine and the history of it at all, the tour guide made a straightforward explanation for laymen like us!!
• Submitted 16 May 2017
Great tour with a great guide. The wineries are all very unique and each experience is different. Very generous wine pours, great prices for purchasing wine, and the lunch is delicious. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a day trip out of Madrid.
