Your first night at Copenhagen airport is included. Please make your way to the Clarion Airport hotel which is a short walk from the main terminal building.

Ilulissat & ice fjord cruise
Copenhagen - Ilulissat. This morning after hotel check out we take a morning flight from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq before connecting on to Ilulissat in Western Greenland. Flight times vary depending on which day you are travelling. Upon arrival in Ilulissat you'll be met and transferred to the Hotel Arctic - the world's most northerly 4 star hotel. Following a welcome meeting with our guide we embark on a town walk to get acquainted with Ilulissat. See the busy fishing harbour and visit the museum. We'll also get our first glimpse of the beautiful scenery. Later this evening we enjoy a delicious meal at the onsite hotel restaurant Ulo. Ulo is famous for its 'fresh from the fjords and fells' ingredients that is uses in its food.
After dinner we embark on a guided midnight cruise to the ice fjord. The midnight sun and warm red colours reflect on the gigantic icebergs and is an amazing sight. We'll cruise between the icebergs and enjoy a late drink on the "real rocks".

After breakfast at the hotel the remainder of the day is at leisure. There a whole host of optional excursions that can be booked locally with your helpful tour leader who will be on hand to help advise what you can do.

Ilulissat - Copenhagen. Today we say farewell to Greenland as we board our flight back to Copenhagen (via Kangerlussuaq). Flight times vary depending on which day you are travelling so please contact us before booking your onward flights from Copenhagen.

Clarion Airport Hotel, Copenhagen (Denmark)
Just a short walk across the covered walkway from the main terminal and 15 minutes' metro from the city centre, the Clarion Copenhagen Airport is a modern hotel with excellent facilities. Guest rooms are a decent size and come with floor to ceiling windows and importantly sound proofing - so the planes won't disturb you. The breakfast buffet is extensive and there is an onsite spa for guests to enjoy as well as Wi-Fi (charges apply).
Hotel Arctic, Ilulissat
The world's most northerly 4 star hotel, the Hotel Arctic sits right on the edge of the ice fjord - recently made a UNESCO world heritage site. Guest rooms cosy with comfortable beds, hardwood flooring and minimalist bathrooms with under floor heating. Original works by the Greenlandic artist Buuti Pedersen decorate the rooms. Complimentary wi-fi is available and the on site Ulo restaurant where guests can enjoy delicious meals with one of the most spectacular views in the world - enjoy dinner whilst watching the icebergs drift around the fjord.
