Pesaro, Urbino & San Marino

Once you have arrived at the airport in Bologna or Ancona, make your way to our accommodation in Pesaro, a charming seaside town on the Adriatic coast, known for its beautiful beaches and rich cultural heritage.

After checking in, the rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the town, relax at the beach, or enjoy the local cafes and shops. In the evening join your fellow travellers for an included dinner at the hotel.

Tour Style: On this tour you will stay in the same hotel throughout, with included excursions and free time to spend at leisure. On the excursions the maximum group size is 45. A tour leader is on hand at the hotel to provide information and assistance throughout your stay.

You’ll have the morning free to relax and settle into your hotel, or you might prefer to take a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of Pesaro, starting with the lively Piazza del Popolo, the town's main square.

Pesaro - Urbino - Pesaro. After breakfast, we’ll set off for a full-day excursion to Urbino, a town renowned for its stunning hilltop views and rich history. As we explore the heart of this beautifully preserved walled city, we’ll take in breathtaking panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Later, we’ll gather with our fellow travellers to enjoy an included lunch at a charming local restaurant, soaking in the atmosphere of this historic gem.

Pesaro - San Leo - San Marino - Pesaro. Today, we’ll embark on a full-day guided tour to explore San Leo and San Marino. Our first stop is the charming town of San Leo, where we’ll visit its ancient fortress, perched 600m above sea level and overlooking the Marecchia Valley. The fortress has hosted many famous figures throughout history, including Dante and St. Francis. In the afternoon, we’ll head to San Marino, an independent country and the world’s oldest republic. Here, you’ll have free time to explore its narrow, picturesque streets at your leisure. We return to our hotel in Pesaro for the evening.

Enjoy a free day to explore Pesaro at your own pace. You can take a leisurely stroll along the beach, savour an al fresco lunch in one of the many restaurants, or sip a glass of prosecco while enjoying views of the Adriatic. Your tour leader will be happy to provide recommendations for sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment options in the area.

Pesaro - Gradara - Pesaro. We’ll set off for a full-day visit to Gradara. We’ll be guided through this charming town, which is believed to be the setting of Dante’s tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca. After an included lunch at a typical local trattoria with our fellow travellers, we’ll continue our tour to one of the region’s vineyards and cellars to sample some local wines at an included tasting.

On this final day, take some time to relax and enjoy your surroundings, whether by exploring more of the town, unwinding at a local café, or soaking in the views. Your tour leader will be happy to offer recommendations for things to see, places to visit, or last-minute shopping spots.
