Fantastic experience however not safe enough I’m terrified of heights but going over the top was fine no problem felt totally safe. Climbing the ladder of death not so much it wasn’t until I was safely back at hotel thinking about it that I realised that the safety harness wouldn’t have come off but would have been no use if I had slipped on ladder as it had no way of stopping you sliding down it’s safety attachment and me plummeting to the next level. I wouldn’t have fell off but I would have probably slid really fast down the ladder . There was little support if I froze on route and as the young jokey attendants said you have to do that bit on your own . Not happy about that bit at all but still enjoyed it I just think it needs more attention

It was a very informative tour of SOH. Our guide was knowledgeable and you could tell he really enjoyed giving tours of the SOH. Just wished we could have got a peek inside the main hall that is closed for renovations for the next year or so.

Excellent tour of the Opera House. Don't just walk around the outside, this tour takes you inside. We even got to listen to a rehearsal for a few minutes in the Joan Sutherland Theater. Unfortunately the Concert Hall was closed.

Wonderful and informative tour. I highly recommend it to others. Seeing this amazing building from the inside is really special... treat yourself and the views of the harbor from both inside and outside this building are very special, too!

Besides our Bridge Climb, this was the other must-do of our stay in Sydney. Initially, the signs were confusing to where the tour actually starts. We saw a sign by the door by the box office... went up there... was told go back down and it's to the left down hallway... turned left and didn't see another sign for the tour... walked into another lobby... no tour sign... then asked someone else... found out it was technically outside, under the steps on the bridge side of The Opera House. The tour itself was very nice and we saw the many theaters that are housed in The Opera House. You don't realize that there are multiple theaters there just seeing it on TV. I agree from other reviews that it doesn't make sense that you cannot take your own pictures in the main theaters, especially if they are just rehearsing... maybe they don't want people taking flash pictures and messing up the performers.... but a snuck a pic in the Main Hall! Thought we might get a "true" behind the scenes tour like going on the stage or behind.. but I think because it was around Christmas... every theater was being used for rehearsal or being prepped for that night's show. At the end of the tour, you can purchase a photo book with pictures of you super-imposed over the backgrounds of the Main Hall and other scenes... we planned on buying it beforehand, so the $50 (AUD) wasn't so bad because it only cost us $35 U.S... You can even add a short video for $5 extra in which you go outside and meet a worker... they position you where to stand and wave at a camera positioned on a pole... it is actually cool as it zooms in and out... we got it. The only thing better than the tour is seeing an actual show there! Do both!

Darryl was our tour guide for our hour trip through some of the theatres and lobbies. He was funny and informative. We enjoyed our tour and learned a lot from our tour guide and the video. We received a 10 percent coupon for lunch afterwards at the Opera Kitchen, which we also enjoyed with a view of Darling Harbour.

Travel brochures do not due justice to the beauty and size of the OperaHouse. A must do tour for any tourist visiting Sydney!

This was an awesome tour. It not only is one of a kind, it is so unique that you wonder how they managed to build it like they did. It is a must see on your trip to Sydney.

Excellent tour, very interesting, informative with an excellent guide. We will always look upon the Opera House differently having experienced the lovely interior and history. Our guide was very helpful and coped admirably with questions people in the group put forward. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney

Our guide was great. She kept the group engaged. Her speaking voice pulled you into the tour. There was not too many stairs and there were opportunities to rest for those that needed it. The Opera House itself is a grand structure.

Total tour experience from check-in, Tour and end of tour was excellent. Everyone was professional and knowledgeable, particularly our guide, Alex who shared his vast knowledge about the Opera House, including history, design, function and use. Extremely satisfied with the total experience. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney.

Nice small group, headphones worked great, excellent tour guide for our English speaking tour. Unfortunately we were not able to take pictures in the concert hall because of ongoing events.

Spectacular facility ! Nice tour ...only advice go early rather than later . We got there mid afternoon and had to wait several groups to get in .

This tour was outstanding and the guide excellent. Magnificent views and information was provided to greatly appreciate this magnificent structure. Only negative is difficulty because of steps for handicapped individuals - little accommodation was offered for those using canes or handicapped equipment which could provide difficulty for those with adversities. Otherwise, well worth the cost.

My husband and I went on this tour and were not disappointed! Not only did we learn the history of the amazing Opera House, we saw the inner bones of the structure (which are absolutely beautiful). If you are remotely interested in theater, history, architecture, or simply learning more about the Opera House, this is the tour for you!
