My friend and I really enjoyed the Backstage Tour of Sydney Opera House, friendly tour guide and very informative. I would recommend and go back there again.

Although this is a early start it was an awesome tour and our tour guide Steve was excellent in ensuring we saw everything that was possible. Only one theatre that we could not visit due to a stage set change. It is amazing the amount of backstage stairs and rooms that there are within the Opera House. We even got to see inside a Dressing Room that is used by the stars. We then finished off with breakfast in the Green room and this was enjoyable as well. As this tour is done once a day, you should take every opportunity to fit this in.

Great, great tour! You get to see all the behind the scenes places that you never would in another tour. Some people complain that you can't take pictures in certain spots. Yes, that is true, but it is really only in the green room and stage sets that are not owned by the Opera House. Personally, I was more for the building and history and I was able to take pictures of all the things I wanted to in regards to those two things. Yvonne was amazing!

I am so glad I had the opportunity to take this guided back stage tour. Coming to Sydney and not touring the Opera House would have been a waster trip. Getting to go inside this iconic building was a real pleasure. I felt very lucky to get the information we received. Everyone should take this tour.

The views you get behind the scenes of the Joan Sutherland Theatre and the Concert Music Hall are great. You're in the orchestra pit and in the wings they can't get you any closer. Our guide, Kenny, was the BEST. This was one of the things we scheduled that we felt was entirely worth the time and the money. It starts AWFULLY early in the morning when you're on vacation!!, but it's definitely worth it. The included breakfast we expected would be a roll and some coffee. You actually had several choices, including a full eggs, bacon, toast, juice, coffee. And you dine in the green room where the musicians and technicians meet and dine before, during, and after work.

Very interesting and up close. Just a tip, nothing to do with the tour....we wish we had seen a show at the Opera House...on the tour, our guide said tickets are usually available.

As a musician, this was a great tour for me. I loved every minute and saw parts of the opera house most people never see. Very glad we did it, even if we did have to get up at 5 in the morning, but the breakfast made up for the early rising.

What a fantastic tour! You'll definitely want to do a backstage tour if you've ever had the desire to visit the Sydney Opera House. You'll be treated to an eye opening experience and will enjoy private access to some amazing spaces in this complex.

If you do any tour in Sydney this is the one to experience. Can not say enough it was incredible

This trip was very nice because it is small and you really can ask detailed questions about almost everything in the opera house. The house itself is interesting - it's not historic or full of stories but it is still iconic of Sydney and Australia. The guide was good because he really is trained in the field of tourism and education. In other opera house tours I've had, people are often volunteers who know mostly info from a script and perhaps once in a while personal experience. Our guide really knew his stuff. On my tour, I was with a mother and her daughter who was in school for the arts. When we walked on one of the empty stages, her mom really wanted her to have had a chance to sing. Our guide was super nice and said go for it. The only thing you need to know about this trip is that it is super early. It's a good thing to do perhaps if you have an afternoon flight to catch. There is a breakfast included which was nice. The price is a bit expensive for an opera house tour but I would just think that a big part of your ticket price goes to the opera house as a donation to the arts.

This tour was excellent despite the early start. We were split into two small groups and the tour was leisurely and we learnt so much about the workings of the Opera House. The breakfast at the end was superb and the souvenir book you could purchase was worth the money. A lot of stair climbing so not for those with problems.

The tour was very, very good and the guide, Collin had a great wit and easily talked about behind the scenes as if it was the most important visit you can make to the opera house. We felt very honored to see behind the scene areas for the performers and cast of the performances. I would recommend it to any person who will be seeing a performance at the Sydney Opera House. Great tour!!

Truly an absolutely incredible and informative tour! The group is very small and the guide has been leading the tour for years... was wonderful! Thank you.....

Absolutely fantastic. Especially if you are a theater nerd. We got to go backstage, on stage, above the stage, below the stage, in the dressing rooms, the green room.... you name it! I even got to sit at the piano in the dressing room that Prince used just weeks before he died. The breakfast was excellent. I got a 30 discount on a ticket purchase for the play Talk that night for having been a part of the tour. I can't recommend it enough. Worth the early start!

Loved this visit despite the very early start. Would highly recommend a backstage visit the opera house. Lots of stairs so you must be mobile.
