The food tour was awesome! We were thinking that like other food tours, we’d be so stuffed afterwards. It’s one reason I am always a little hesitant to book food tours. Anyway, this was perfect! Small plates, coffee, beer and moderate plates made this a great tour. Danny knows his stuff and made Montreal come to life as we walked and talked. This tour takes you to local places. Family owned, women owned. No chains. Amazing flavors. Then, he leaves you with a list of other places to try.

Marie was a fantastic tour guide, I really enjoyed the tour and it was great to try so many different kinds of food. Her passion for food in this foodie city was really easy to see.

My husband and I loved this tour—Danny took us to some unexpected places, and the best part was that he explained the particular back stories of each restaurant/vendor (rather than just talking about the food itself). It was a glimpse into the history and culture of the city as it is now, not just a fossilized version of what we think of as Québécois cuisine. The stops were nicely varied, with just a couple of larger plates interspersed among small samples, so we were satisfied but not overly full by the end. Merci à Danny!

The tour exceeded my husband and my expectations. Exploring off the beaten path sites and tasting local foods in a small group atmosphere was both informative and exciting. The food tastings were delicious and our guide, Amelia, made this our best tour taken!!

Amelie is a fabulous guide and her passion for Montreal is contagious. The food we tasted was diverse and delicious and we learned tons of city tidbits along the way. I HIGHLY and wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this tour. Not only did we visit many vendors in the Market and restaurants in the area, but our tour guide provided lots of information on the area and took us off the beaten path. You could tell that he was very knowledgeable and not giving us an everyday generic tour. I was pleasantly surprised by all the tours we did during our trip to Montreal and Quebec City.

This is a most interesting tour as we walked through such diverse neighborhoods compared with the old town area where we are staying. We loved our guide, Amelie!

Our guide Marie did an excellent job of showing us the "flavors" of the neighborhoods through which we walked, as well as the flavors of the food we were provided at the various stops/sites along the way. Marie was friendly, articulate and always responsive to questions. I would strongly recommend this tour!

Our guide was professional, personable, and took us to try some amazing bites. Not overwhelming on the body with a really nice variety. We walked through some interesting parts of the city I wouldn't have explored on my own necessarily. This was the better of the two food tours I did while in Montreal by far.

This was an awesome introduction to side of Montreal that I would’ve never seen otherwise. The tour guide was amazing and knew everything about this emerging scene.

Fantastic way to see the city outside of the downtown area. Our tour guide Danny was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour started with the pupusas. Very good. Then on to Jean talon market. We tried cheese, cured meats, ice cream. The market has free samples as well. We then headed to beer tasting, iced coffee and last some fried chicken at the park. It was so scrumptious. The food tastings are not big portions but it is enough to keep you satisfied. Since we liked it a lot we headed back on our own and just explored the area with the recommendations given to us by guide. Well worth our money. Thanks Danny!

This was a great food tour and one my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. Danny, our guide, took us to some small food cafes and bars as well as the markets in the Jean-Talon area as well as the last mile and mile ex areas. Some were well established, others were start ups and Danny provided the background behind each one. The samples in the park from the Dinnete Triple Crown were a great way to end the tour. It was also nice to be given a cheat sheet at the end of the tour on where we had been and some further recommendations. We would highly recommend this tour to anybody interested in some of the more unique dining experiences that you don't see in guidebooks.

That was an amazing best experience in Montreal. Our fantastic guide Francine was so informative and took us to so many places all different kinds of food and culture, land scape, architecture, all sorts of aspect to lean about Montreal, I felt like I had 7 course dinner with beer, desert even coffee and she even took us to lovely picnic at the park in the neiborhood. It was totally worth it. We'll walk quite a bit, so wear comfortable shoes

Our tour guide, Frances, gave us a lively perspectives on the neighborhoods as we walked along sampling specialties from local restaurants. She was enthusiastic and showed us a neighborhood garden which is cultivated by residents. The foods/beverages we tasted were terrific, especially Papusas from El Salvador which we had never tried before. We often learned about the restaurant owners coming from different countries and settling in Montreal. We sampled spices at the Jean Talon market. Our small group was congenial and we ended a fabulous tour with a picnic under a tree on a beautiful warm Sunday afternoon feasting in a nearby park on fried chicken and hush puppies!

The guide was tremendous. She was enthusiastic and really knew her stuff. She showed us places we would never have discovered ourselves and some food we had never eaten before. The neighbourhood places, the craft beer, the spots in the market and finally the picnic in the park we will never forget. A great tour, one of the best we have ever taken,

Outstanding tour! Ann Marie was incredible. Her love of her neighborhood is infectious. A great mix of eateries, places way off the beaten track. If you have an afternoon in Montreal, you cannot do better.

From the moment tour guide and passionate Montreal civic booster Anne-Marie met the group and explained the transformation taking place in the neighborhood with food and civic engagement on full display the group realized that a magical afternoon awaited them. Unlike other walking tours where you visit time-honored landmarks, this tour captures the spirit of daily life and communal celebration of a particular neighborhood that struggles to retain cultural identity ethnic diversity with modernity and economic determinism. Anne-Marie is the glue that holds this overview together with her fantastic appreciation for the simple joys of eating and enjoying flavors, imagination a sour-cherry beer and art murals and pocket garden treasures everywhere. I would absolutely recommend this 3 hour adventure culminating with a picnic in the park featuring chicken recipes from Kentucky and the comraderie of new friendships made.
