Richard was wonderful! So knowledgeable and passionate about the city and it's history. He also rolled with our family which included two teenage boys, an 8-year-old girl and a grandmother. He adjusted his facts, humor, pace and itinerary based on their interests and questions. We can't speak highly enough of him or our experience! Casey

We had a great tour with Dominique. The weather was exceedingly foul -- we were actually a little surprised it was a go -- but we had a great 2+ hour tour. Learned a lot ... it was fascinating! Dominique gave us recommendations for additional destinations to pursue later on. Highly recommend!

Marie was an excellent guide. She is a retired French teacher and attended the girls’ school that we visited. She added humor to the presentation. We got a good historical overview and a learned about the physical layout of the city. Good way to get acquainted with the area before heading out on our own.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Guy. He shared lots of info about Quebec City, and we would absolutely do the tour again!

Absolutely loved this tour with our family of four! Our tour guide (Richard) was AMAZING and he covered all the most important spots for newbies like us. He was also very attentive to our needs making sure to answer questions and stop for breaks when needed. One of the best walking tours we’ve taken.

Wish Richard could have improved the weather. Really enjoyed our 2.5 hours together. Saw stuff we didn't know we needed to see. Learned stuff not in the travel books. Got some great advice on restaurants .

Our four young children--9,8,7,6 and of course their parents, had a wonderful walking tour of Old Quebec. Louise had an excellent knack of keeping the young ones interested in the history and artifacts of Old Quebec. We were super delighted at having her as the guide.

I strongly suggest booking this tour if you would like to learn about history and culture of the Quebec City. Our tour guide Dominique (spelling?) was an amazing story-teller who knows her city well and was able to show us many hidden treasures around. Thanks again Dominique for letting us experience a true beauty of Quebec City. We will recommend this tour to all of our friends and family.

I'm very happy we booked this tour - and a great bonus that it was a private one. It's great not to have to figure out what to do next and how to get the most of our 1 day in Quebec City. Seems that Quebec City is perfect for a walking tour because of its compact, walkable area and its rich history that is better appreciated with a guide. Rejeanne (I hope I remembered her name correctly), our guide, was great and also gave us great tips about what to do next after the tour. I highly recommend this tour!

My compliments to James for an excellent job on our recent walking tour of Quebec City old and new towns. James ability to hold his audience with interesting stories along with facts is commendable, and his charming personality blending his Quebec upbringing blended with his Irish ancestry made for a perfect afternoon. My compliments.

We had a delightful evening with Marie and other guests. A wonderful mix of history, great food and exposure to restaurants we might have not otherwise experienced.

The best way to see the old city of Quebec is definitely on foot and with a private guide. We my kids and I were especially fortunate to have Brian Jenner as our guide! Experienced, informative and entertaining, he was a fountain of local knowledge and quick to pick up on our specific interests so we felt as if the tour had been customized for us. We only had the one afternoon in Quebec, and it was very full, but there is clearly a lot more to see, so we will be back for more. Thank you Brian and Viator for an unforgettable afternoon in Quebec.

So worth the additional expense as the guide was able to take my friend and I around at our pace friend had a knee injury. Despite the slower pace we still saw all the areas on the tour which he graciously extended for us as we were the last tour of the day. Viator also arranged this tour to start slightly later than advertised as we were coming from the airport and wanted to maximize our time as much as possible.

My wife and I had the privilege of spending 3 hours, with our wonderful guide Simon, hearing about, seeing, and experiencing the history, architecture, and culture that has made Quebec City what it is today. The intimate size of our group coupled with a well paced tour provided for an enjoyable and memorable adventure. We would recommend this trip to anyone and remind them to tell their guide what they are into as the guide can tailor the tour to your liking. Have FUN!

I had an excellent tour with Jacques! He's got a lot of passion for Quebec City and knew his history. He presented it in an easy to understand way. It was a great way to start my trip and gain an understanding of the city, the people and get to know the areas and places I'd want to go back to. And I appreciated that he was a fast walker like me so we were able to see a lot more. I highly recommend this tour!!

This was a great way to look around the old city and to be told the history of Quebec City. On the day we went it was cold, the footpaths were covered in ice and it was raining, not a good combination when you are not used to these conditions. However our guide tailored the walk to allow us more time inside with less exposure to the elements. As we had another day, when the weather was much more favourable, and this allowed us to walk around again and see some of the sights Simon our guide had pointed out to us. Simon also very thoughtfully suggested a couple of very nice restaurants to us. Thank you Simon, well done.

We had a private tour with Jean Francois and it was wonderful! He knew lots of history and interesting details and we could tell that he loves his city of Quebec! It was a good way to see areas that we wanted to come back to later.

This is the BEST way to see the beautiful City. Our guide, Jean-Francois, was incredible. Different than group tours where there are dozens of people, difficult to hear and feeling intimidated to ask questions, there were only 4 of us in this group and it was tailored to US. Besides seeing all of the traditional highlights, Jean took us into parts that most tourists don't ever see. He was very knowledgeable, humorous and personable and also gave us incite to the Quebec mentality which is very different than the rest of Canada. Although it was a bit more expensive than a group tour, the extra was money well spent. Highly recommended!!!!!
