This tour is a must to do mainly because of the cable car and the great views you get. Lunch was ok - vegetarian only but lots of choices to choose from. We quickly ate and looked around the site of the big Buddha as time was very precious. On the boat ride we actually saw several pink dolphin - a wonderful sight to see. I was actually surprised to see the waterways clean and free of rubbish - wonderful! This tour is great for couples or families alike.

My daughter and I had a great time visiting Lantau Island. The free time was short but still manage to do some shopping. The Tai O boat was rewarding. We saw Hong Kong’s pink dolphin. What a sight. Toby was attentive and polite. Use Viator when I was in Paris. You haven’t disappointed me yet.

This was an Incredible Tour. Glass Bottom Cable Car was worht the extra. The boat ride through the fishing village and into the China Sea was AWESOME!! This was a tour of a lifetime for me. The Giant Sitting Buddha was Stunning.
• Submitted 19 Oct 2018
This was an amazing tour, the guide was very informative. I decided to skip the lunch for more time to explore the Giant Buddha and met up with the group at a specified time- this was enjoyable. The cable car ride and the views were well worth the time. The fishing village and market was quite interesting with few unique shops. I would highly recommend.

A Tour you must do if you are travelling to Hong Kong. The Cable Car was amazing, however if you are afraid of heights , may be a difficult ride. Had a lady in my cable car close her eyes the whole way. Lantau Island's Giant Buddha and Monastery is breathtakingly beautiful, loved every moment of this tour. Purchased blessed authentic Jade Bracelet under the Giant Buddha Bonus! Guide was a great guide who was organised and knew how to control a crowd. Informative and tour ran smoothly.. Five Stars- Highly Recommended !

We paid extra for the crystal floor in the cable car, not sure if it was necessary unless you want to see underneath you, which you can see from the side of the carriage anyway. A thrill to come across the Buddha for the first glimpse away in the distance. Buddha size is amazing and the cows wondering around at the bottom are of real interest to the visitors. From here onto the old fishing village, which was was very interesting... and makes you appreciate the life we have at home. A full day touring and very interesting.
• Submitted 15 Jan 2018
This was a worthwhile trip. The Buddha was great. The surrounding area was very interesting and the weather happened to be great for the day trip. I would definitely suggest this tour. Lantau Island is now a destination area with the new airport and Disney and the giant Buddha.

Was an absolutely great day out. Prompt pick up, excellent guide can't remember his name. Booked the crystal cable car and it was amazing, even though I don't like heights I still enjoyed it. It is a really long ride there and back. Loved that this tour was a skip the queue as the line was very long both ways. The monastery was good and surprisingly my husband enjoyed the vegetarian lunch I didn't tell him that part. The giant Buddha was so interesting and we really enjoyed the boat ride. All up it was an absolute great day!

We went on this trip yesterday. Prompt pick up. Our friendly guide Marco was great, helpful friendly and funny! Fabulous trip. Best trip of our stay in HK. Lunch at monastery was really delicious and we had great company in the crystal cable car which was well worth the extra cost. Would highly recommend this excursion Using this company.

Although the elements of this tour could be done on your own without a tour, this tour was wonderful. It was very convenient to get picked up at the hotel by motorcoach and transported to Lantau Island, along the way learning some history and information about Lantau from our fabulous and funny tour guide Marco. It was also nice to have transportation to Tai O fishing village after visiting the Giant Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery and the opportunity to have a traditional chinese lunch together as a group.. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it as a day trip when visiting Hong Kong.
• Submitted 12 Nov 2017
This is a well worthwhile trip encompassing a cable car ride one of the longest single lift -no car change, in the world, which takes some 25 minutes to complete, the tour of Po Lin monastery, a tour of the museum beneath the Big Buddha with its bone relic, free time to walk around and view the Buddha and Po Lin monastery, the visit to the Tai O fishermans village with its stilt houses and a boat ride in the hope of glimpsing the rear Chinese white dolphin. The vegetarian lunch provided whilst at the Po Lin monastery was also surprisingly good. The trip shows a different facet of Hong Kong, with Lantau island being far removed from the hectic centre of Hong Kong island. Although the village into which you arrive following the cable car ride, to visit the Po Lin monastery and view the Big Buddha is a modern take on a traditional Chinese style village, the Po Lin monastery more than makes up for the artificial tourist village atmosphere. This is a trip I would recommend.

This day tour to visit Lantau Island was an exceptional experience. Our tour guide was wonderful and the trip itself was amazing. The Crystal Cable Car was also worth the additional price.
• Submitted 20 Jun 2017
The tour guide was great. He was knowledgeable and kept the group together -- no one was lost or left out. We saw many interesting things. I only wish we had more time to shop around in the fishing village. We were constantly on the go, from one place to another. Overall, it was well worth it. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see Hong Kong and the big Buddha
