My wife and I really enjoyed this day trip to Ljubljana and Lake Bled. Our driver, Luka, who was also a guide for a part of the trip, arrived in good time to pick us up in a comfortable minibus, where there were 5 of us altogether. He was full of interesting information and was kind and courteous throughout. When we arrived in Ljubljana, we were met by our local guide for the walking tour of Ljubljana, Urša, who was excellent at explaining the history and legends of the area. She even brought us to a free tasting of locally produced liquors and honeys which went down very well, and knew her stuff when she was asked any questions. We then met up with our driver Luka again after lunch and we travelled to Bled Castle and Lake Bled, who was our guide for this part of the tour. He was very knowledgable in the history of the area, and made sure all of us were comfortable when accessing some of the steeper parts of the castle pathway, before we were safely transported back to Zagreb in the evening. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning this day trip from Zagreb.

Excellent tour. Guide was excellent and on-time. Ljubljana beautiful and Lake Bled spectacular. Used Viator twice before in Spain and was also impressed there.

Had a wonderful day with Petra’s the driver and guide Ursula. I expected a large bus but instead it was 7 passengers in a mini van . Petra’s shared lots of information on population, ethnicity and economic climate of both Croatia and Ljubljana. Ursula met us at the market square and took us to the castle via funicular. Then we walked around the town and three squares. Ursula showed us a good place to eat a traditional Slovenian meal. Petros then drove us to Lake Bled, first to the castle so we could take photographs of the stunning blue water, then down to the lake to walk around the shore and sample some Bled cake The drive home was spectacular, a photo oppertunity in every direction, Alps, forests,, rolling hills, red roofed villages, church steeples. A simply magical day.a

My niece and I took this tour the first day of our trip to Croatia. Unfortunately, I got violently ill (not sure from what) so I missed the tour of Ljubljana! However, the local guide as well as our driving guide could not have been more helpful. The local guide found a cafe for me to rest while my niece took the tour - they were so gracious and let me sleep! My niece said the tour was very interesting - history, folklore and current events. It’s a beautiful city! I was able to rally and see Lake Bled, the castle and the surrounding area. We even saw a wedding at the castle! The whole area is like a fairytale. Don’t forget to get cream cake! Thank you so much to the guides again!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept the day entertaining. The drive was comfortable and unrushed, I would recommend this tour if you want an overview of both of these locations. You can't go wrong.

After an organized tour of Croatia and Bosnia, my daughter and I added on a day trip to Ljubljana and Lake Bled. We had seen the photos and decided it was a must see stop. We had spent 9 days with 43 strangers and were looking forward to a small group tour. We were very fortunate that the other people scheduled for this tour backed out at the last minute leaving the two of us with a private tour. With only two paying customers, you might expect the guide to make a half- hearted effort , but nothing could have been further from the truth. After learning we had had some illness and bad weather on our first tour, Luka vowed to give us his very best. Luka tailors his tour to meet the interests of his clients. I have been on plenty of "canned tours" where the guide knows only his script. This is not the kind of tour you will get from Luka. We told him we were interested in history, economic, politics and culture. We were both amazed by his breath of knowledge, not only on these subjects but also on architecture, geology, music, pop culture, and international affairs. I was convinced he had spent time in America because of his mastery of English and American slang, but he has never visited. He is remarkably well read and assimilates the information he learns from his clients on his tours. ( We were blown away by his ability to discuss John Adams and his contribution to the American revolution in addition to things like the American Jazz Age). Luka offered a nice balance of a guided orientation tour with free time to wander and take photos. We had a local guide in Ljubljana who we absolutely loved. She was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The two of them offered suggestions on places to eat in both locations which proved to be excellent. Both sites were truly lovely. We were blessed with perfect weather- somewhat cool and very sunny, so that enhanced our experience. If you only have one day to see Slovenia I don't think you could pick a better company or guide. It was the favorite day of our entire trip.

Our tour guide made this journey exceptional. He was a history buff and I learned more from him in 2 hours, than I did on any of my other tours combined. Ljubljana is beautiful as is Lake Bled. I do wish we had more time in Lake Bled, you do not get enough time to see go on the island.

Beautiful tour, great guide. The other people in my group were super irritating, but that isn't the company's fault : Traveler tip: Would recommend not going on a Sunday, because Ljubljana is a little dead. Such a beautiful country, though.

I loved the experience! Petros was a great option. I also did Plitvice with them and was awesome as well. Small group in a van, which makes border crossing easier. Our guide Steve was great. Very friendly and caring. Gave us tips for photos and where to eat. Shared great info regarding Slovenia!

My guide, Goran, and the local guide in Ljubljana, were outstanding. Besides the usual infor mation you'd expect on a tour, Goran and I talked about all sorts of topics which gave me a much better understanding and appreciation for the region. Another plus was that even though I was the only person going, they didn't cancel on me and I ended up having a private tour. The local company Viator uses was also very helpful when a second tour I'd booked did have to be cancelled due to heavy snow and road closures including the national park.

Slovenia is a beautiful country and I highly recommend anyone visiting Croatia to go. But what made my tour wonderful was a knowledgeable, caring and happy tour guide, Stjepan! He had so much to tell me about the history and lifestyles of both Slovenia and Croatia! You must request him!!! Amazing!
