Alam and the tour were amazing! I will take my partner on same tour in 2019 and we will request Alam again. He was kind , knowledgeable, helpful and did everything he could to make our tour perfect. Nadir in Jordan was also a good guide. Alam was outstanding”
This tour met and far exceeded any expectation I had. Egypt and Jordan are amazing countries and our guides were very good. Alam was perfect... kind, attentive and very knowledgeable. He was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond. We were a group of older travellers and he was exactly what we needed. We have all travelled extensively and have our " favourites trips". Ever person on our tour said that this tour was the best they had ever had and Egypt was their new favourite place. I will be taking my partner on this exact tour in 2019.... we will ensure that we travel with Alam again. Thank you for the experience of a lifetime. ”
Having been on a number of tours I understand the importance of having a great tour guide, Momo is the best I have ever had!
The way that Momo engaged the tour using a range of different techniques to connect with the group was genius. His willingness to go over and above by spending time with the group after hours to gain more of a cultural experience was invaluable and I truly appreciate the effort he put in! ”
Momo was amazing! Words cannot describe how fantastic he is at his job. We truly felt like he had our best interest at heart and wanted to make sure we were safe, having fun and absorbing all here was to learn.
Momo had a few difficult people in the group who simply didn't listen. We noticed that he always made sure they were accounted for and understood the Dos and Donts.
He is obviously very passionate about Egypt, tourism and sharing all the amazing things about the country. He became our friend, not just our tour guide.
We have gone on many tours before with Cosmos, Globus and others and Momo is by far THE best we have ever had.
The trip would have been completely different if we had a 'dud' guide. We would see other groups with their guides and we didn't feel like they were having an amazing time like we were. We learnt so much and Momo's knowledge is unbelievable!
We were very lucky to have Momo but On The Go is even more lucky to have such an amazing asset in Momo! ”
I cannot speak more highly of our tour guide in Egypt, Dino. The trip through Egypt was spectacular and Dino was the perfect tour guide. He knew so much about all the places we visited, answered every question and made the whole trip seamless and safe. I would absolutely book w/On the Go again and, more importantly, recommend Dino and the Egypt tour specifically to family and friends in the United States. Trip highlights that I loved: the Felucca Nile River cruise (Mohammed, our boat captain was fantastic! We spent 2 1/2 days swimming in the Nile; sailing the river and visiting a Nubian home and getting to know the family. Abu Simbel is NOT to be missed! Luxor/Valley of the Kings lived up to all of my expectations and Luxor Temple at Night just blew my mind.”
Words can’t describe what an extraordinary experience our Road to Jordan trip was. I’ve travelled a lot, with many different tour companies, and I have to say my experience on this trip (particularly in Egypt) was by far and away the best I’ve ever had.
Our Egypt guide Momo was so passionate about his country, and excited to share his vast knowledge of history with us. You couldn’t help but be swept up in his enthusiasm! He always went out of his way to ensure everyone in our group was comfortable and well briefed on our schedule, which was a little hectic (but that’s why I chose this trip, to see as much of Egypt and Jordan as possible, and it was worth the occasional long travel day!). Even with the more difficult-to-please guests (every group has one or two!), he was always patient, kind, calm, and attentive. He handled everything extremely well and always went the extra mile for our group.
Our Jordan guide Eid was equally as knowledgeable and is possibly the kindest man I’ve ever met, it was a real pleasure to travel with him. He was especially good at interacting with each person in the group and ensuring his pace worked for all of us. I saw far too many incredible sites to choose a favourite, though highlights included a hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, relaxing in Hurghada, and of course seeing the gorgeous Petra in person.
One thing in particular I’d love to give a shout-out to is the quality of the hotels that On the Go chose for us: They were wonderful! Much swankier than any trip I’ve taken before. It was lovely to have such beautiful, luxurious rooms to relax in after a long day of exploring temples and tombs. The food was excellent as well. I met so many fantastic people in our group and we’ll definitely stay in touch (in fact some of us are already planning our next trip together).
If you’re considering this tour, or any others in this region, please don’t listen to any negative comments you may get from friends or family (‘it’s unsafe’, etc). At no point whatsoever did I feel unsafe during this trip. The people we met were so friendly, we saw so many awesome sights, and we were always well taken care of by our guides and drivers. I will definitely return someday!”
Haytham was the best tour guide to date. He went above and beyond to accommodate everyone on the tour. Extremely knowledgeable and insightful, would highly recommend. ”
I've been on many tours run by many different companies and I have to say that Momo was the best guide I hve ever had the pleasure of being guided by! Momo was full of knowledge and made history exciting as opposed to a mind numbing. A fun history lesson on holiday. Momo took us to amazing restaurants and really ensured we had a great time in Egypt. Thanks so much. Highly recommended guide and a great company. ”
I booked this tour just 3 weeks before the departure date and it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Personally, travelling to Egypt was a childhood dream come true. The rich history and magical element of the country is unlike anywhere else in the world. The awe inspiring archaeological sites of ancient Egypt blew me away and has left me wanting to return to see more. From the moment I arrived in Egypt I felt welcomed and safe at all times. The tour representatives whom I encountered were all very friendly and approachable people. Our wonderful tour guide Momo is a humble and genuine person who went above and beyond to make sure everybody’s individual needs were catered for during the tour. Momo possesses a wealth of knowledge about the history of ancient Egypt and is evidently passionate about his career as a tour guide. Momo incorporates the perfect balance of professionalism and humour into his role as a tour guide, which has made the tour informative, enjoyable and fun! Overall my experience in Egypt was everything that I had hoped for and more thanks to Momo, who made the tour a truly special and an unforgettable experience for everyone. I highly recommend this tour to anybody who wants to experience the best of Egypt for themselves. I look forward to the day I return to this beautiful country. ”
Momo was extremely knowledgeable of his country and its history and took great care in looking after us and entertain us. Most impressive was his genuine passion for what he was doing.
Egypt its self was a dream come true. I felt very safe and at no time did I feel like I was under any threat. That said, the tour seemed just a little sanitized with virtually no exposure to anything Egyptian other than the tourist spots. Perhaps that's just a precaution.
All and all, if you have desire to go to Egypt. DO IT. Do it with ON THE GO, and request Momo if you can. ”
